The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System-Chapter 560 - Final Confrontation (01)
The Heavenly Demon was unable to hide the shock on his face as he raised his blood sword in a defensive stance.
Unfortunately for him, nothing could stop the Heaven-Shattering Divine Slash.
The Heaven-Defying thunder sword tore through the air, the space through which its blade cut opening up like an ocean, revealing a sea of endless darkness.
There was no resistance when it met the Heavenly Demon’s sword, a metallic clang echoing, followed by a deafening explosion.
A shockwave ran through the Heavenly Demon’s body, his grip on his sword losing strength.
The blade was thrown away, a powerful shockwave emanating from the point of contact. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Qingyi took two steps back in midair, panting heavily.
At the same time, the Heavenly Demon was launched like a cannonball, hitting the slope of a mountain on the horizon with a deafening crash.
Qingyi watched as the mountain collapsed on top of his opponent, a disappointed expression taking over his face.
"Is that all?" The handsome young man’s question barely lasted a single moment before he shuddered.
A crimson light spread through the cracks between the fallen rocks, a terrifying aura surging in its wake.
"Very good! A roar echoed, loud enough to rupture mortal eardrums dozens of miles away.
"You truly impress me, heir to the dragon god of corruption! You are worthy of your predecessor’s name!"
The entire mountain exploded with those words, stones the size of houses being thrown into the skies and falling back to earth.
Amidst all that destruction stood the Heavenly Demon, unscathed. Not even a speck of dust stained his robes.
Even with difficulty circulating his Qi, he was still a terrifying existence.
Qingyi’s lips parted, but before he could form a single word, his opponent was already in front of him, a new blood sword appearing in his hands.
Without hesitation, the Heavenly Demon attacked with a downward slash, so casually that it seemed he was trying to crush an ant, not kill Qingyi.
Qingyi defended himself hastily, crossing his sword with his opponent’s.
Immediately, he regretted not dodging. The air was forced out of his lungs as he was thrown downward.
Dust rose and his body sank into the rocky ground of the region. The power of the impact dissipated around him, a pair of deep cracks opening in the earth.
It was as if the ground had been split into four, with Qingyi right in the center, sunk hundreds of meters below the surface.
He could already feel the heat of a magma vein a few dozen meters below him.
This was a mountainous region with a high volcanic index, after all.
His eyes turned cold and he punched downward, feeling all the pressure converge toward a single point.
The Heavenly Demon, who had been watching the crack with contempt until then, couldn’t hide the surprise on his face.
His hands rose instinctively as a wave of steam left the two cracks, accompanied by hellish heat, and then, magma.
Amidst the rock melted at hellish temperatures, Qingyi rose. His body was swallowed by a spatial fold and appeared behind the Heavenly Demon.
"Fast!" The Heavenly Demon’s eyes widened.
He barely managed to turn around in time, his sword meeting Qingyi’s.
The Heavenly Demon prevented himself from being cut in half, but he was still hit and the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword sank into his shoulder.
Neither of them retreated.
With nowhere else to go, the energy contained by their blades spread through the air, sweeping away all the oxygen around them with the shockwave and creating a vacuum that quickly collapsed.
"You... filthy brat!" The Heavenly Demon was unable to contain the anger in his voice.
He quickly threw Qingyi back and retreated, clutching his injured shoulder.
It burned like hell, but that wasn’t all.
The wound refused to close!
What kind of cursed Qi was that?
It took a few moments to calm down. Moving his Qi carefully, the Heavenly Demon finally closed the open wound.
Silently, the two remained in the skies, flying a few meters high and staring at each other.
"Ah... You’re a very peculiar young man, you know?" The Heavenly Demon revealed a bitter smile on his face, avoiding another direct confrontation. "Can’t you just die quietly? I would choose death over listening to your disgusting voice for even a single second longer."
A vein of anger appeared on the Heavenly Demon’s forehead, but he quickly recovered.
He was the one provoking Qingyi. It would be pathetic to have the positions reversed.
"You know... the Corruption dragon god was old, much older than me. Probably old enough to have known the ancestor who forged the heavens and ended the rule of the ancient gods."
The Heavenly Demon flashed a gentle smile, waving his hands lightly.
A small jar filled with liquor appeared in his grasp, and he took a sip with excitement.
"He was once a highly respected expert by those orthodox pigs. A man who was in love with only one woman and kept his powers to himself...
Aren’t you interested in knowing what I did to change that?"
"You?" Qingyi turned his face in surprise.
Even Ruxue, in the world of the mind, looked confused.
What did the Heavenly Demon mean by that?
She had heard stories about how the dragon god of corruption had once been respected and revered, but that after the death of his wife and the disappearance of his only daughter, he had given himself over completely to his own power.
He spread corruption to millions of followers and unleashed a chaos of pleasure demons that killed and raped billions.
But what the hell could the Heavenly Demon have to do with that?
After a brief exchange with Ruxue, Qingyi smiled.
Whatever it was, it was important to both him and her.
In the end, whether they liked it or not, their fates were directly linked to the Heavenly Demon, and the more they knew about him, the better.
"Your pathetic attempt to buy time worked. Continue."
