The Conqueror Of Cities!-Chapter 38: Pia’s Suffering
Chapter 38: Pia's Suffering
As I was walking away from the meeting place, a brilliant idea suddenly popped into my head.
I turned around and looked at Adem before saying "Oh before I go, you can keep Pia for a little while more"
"Really!?! i thought you didn't like my artwork, but it seems you did hahaha!"
Pia's face fell into despair, and tears started streaming down her face while she was on the ground on a dog position.
"NOOO! Please don't leave me here boss! please please please please please!"
with an annoying face and a cold, unforgiving tone I told her, "Don't make me hurt your precious little sister."
Pia's eyes widened in fear as she realized that I was in total control. She stopped protesting.
In truth, I was deeply impressed and filled with admiration for Pia's unwavering will to protect her sister. I expected she would lose her will to fight for her sister and only think on how to escape me and Adem at all cost, but it was still too early for her to break.
"Alright, now that that's settled, we'll be going. Have a nice day, gentlemen," I said and left.
a guard escorted us out of the mansion, and we started walking toward their scooter. while walking away I took my mask off and took a deep breath.
From walking in front off Darjan and Eman I could sense that Eman was uneasy about something. He kept glancing over at me, as if he wanted to say something but didn't know how to approach the subject.
"What's wrong?" I asked calmly.
Eman spoke up his head facing the floor, "Dionis, why are you making her suffer so much? She was only 50$ in debt to us. You don't have to torture her for just $50. I can pay her debt so just let her live her life. She's only 14 years old, how can you be so heartless?"
I stopped in my tracks and turned to Eman, saying sternly, "Hahahah firstly, don't act innocent as if you didn't fucking rape the girl. Secondly, Eman, how many fucking times do I have to tell you not to question me?"
He raised his head and looked in my eyes with regret, "Yes I know I did horrible things to her but at least I'm trying to change, But you, you're just doing unnecessary evil. I would understand if it had a reason, but it just doesn't,"
"Of course, it has a reason," I replied, my tone growing more agitated. "Have I ever done something unnecessary?"
Darjan interjected, holding my briefcase "No, you haven't, boss."
"Maybe not until now, but I just can't find a reason for you to make that poor girl suffer so much," Eman replied, still trying to convince me to change my mind.
"Look, bro, don't tire yourself over my business. Just do your job, please. You're becoming a nuisance," I said, feeling frustrated with his questioning.
His face turned gloomy as he reluctantly replied, "Alright."
After an awkward minute of walking, we finally arrived at where we parked our mopeds.
I told Darjan that his job was done and he could go home. He gave Eman the briefcase full of money and rode off on his scooter.
Eman and I looked on as his figure grew smaller in the distance until he was out of sight. Then he retrieved the keys from his pocket and unlocked his scooter's seat, revealing a small compartment where he stored a helmet for me.
He pulled the helmet out, extending it towards me, while simultaneously placing the suitcase brimming with money inside. I put on the helmet and hopped onto the back of the scooter behind Eman.
As we rode home, I couldn't help but think to myself, "Fuck, now I need to keep my promise and 'help' those dumbass junkies."
Finally, after some time, we arrived at my house. I hopped off the scooter and turned to him, saying, "Thanks for the ride."
Eman got off the scooter and opened the trunk to grab the briefcase. He handed it over to me with a smile and a nod, saying, "No problem bro, just please don't lose yourself."
I thanked him for the help and assured him that I won't. Pleased he got back on the scooter and drove off.
Eman truly had been a good friend and a reliable accomplice throughout my journey into the criminal underworld, and I valued him the most out of all my people. At first, I had regarded him as a mere servant, a dog, but over time, I came to see him as a trusted friend. I didn't want to lose his loyalty, so I went easy on him.
As I pushed open the door to my apartment, the thought echoed in my mind: "I can't afford to have people I care about. Otherwise, I'll become vulnerable." I reminded myself that my family was the only group of people I truly loved and cared for, and that would remain true until the end of my life.
Thankfully, my parents were still at work and my brother was at the gym. If they were home, they would have questioned what was in the briefcase. I wouldn't have been able to come up with a believable excuse for carrying $12,000.
before doing anything in my house I grabbed the keys to my basement and made my way down there. It was essential to make sure that no one, not even my family members, stumbled upon the cash. After securing it, I headed upstairs, feeling a bit more at ease.
Next, I entered my room and picked up the trap phone. Taking a seat on the couch, I dialed Pia's number, waiting for her to answer.
"Hello, Pia. How have you been?" I greeted her.
"I-I'm... good," Pia nervously replied.
"Are you alone at right now?" I inquired, grabbing the remote and turning the TV on.
"Yes, I'm in Adem's room, lying in his bed" she responded.
"Perfect. Is his room under surveillance or any kind of monitoring?" I questioned further.
"No, I don't think so," Pia answered quietly.
Sensing a little anger on Pia's voice I apologized to her. "Excellent. By the way, I want to apologize for keeping you in that ugly man's house." I tried sounding sympathetic while picking my nose. "Rest assured, I will compensate you generously after you complete the task I'm about to assign to you,"
Pia was apprehensive when she asked. "Oh, okay. But what exactly do I have to do?"
"All you need to do is gather information about Adem and his men. Analyze the entire layout of the mansion, including the manpower, security measures, and any other relevant details. Can you do that for me?" I explained, emphasizing the importance of the task.
"But but... what if I get caught? I could be killed," Pia expressed her fear.
"You won't be in any danger, I assure you. Adem is rather fond of you," I reassured her, interrupting her concerns.
"But-"
Cutting her off, I desperately tried to convince her, "Pia, trust me! He won't harm you. Just do as I say, and once you complete the task, you'll be fucking free! Sigh please be a good girl and do as i say."
"O-Okay, boss. I'll do it," Pia reluctantly agreed.
"For real? hell yea!" I hanged up the phone without saying goodbye.
"Fuck! this bitch is fucking useless." With that thought in mind, I proceeded to prepare myself and get ready for the gym.
Following a grueling workout session, I finally returned home. When I stepped into the kitchen, I was greeted by the sight of my family gathered around the dinner table, already immersed in their meal. Without wasting a moment, I quickly washed my hands and took my place at the table, joining them in their evening meal.
As the hours gradually passed by, exhaustion began to take hold. Sensing the need for rest, I made my way to my bedroom, ready to surrender to sleep and replenish my energy for the challenges of the next day.
...
After the conclusion of another school day, I reached out to Eman, Darjan, Hamza, and Marko, informing them to meet me in Ipoz.
I was a little eager to talk with the tragic old man again and try to 'help' all the junkies.
