Chapter 507: Chapter 505: Reversal

Zhao Li was dominated by lust, letting the woman tie his hands to the bedhead and blindfold him, stripping him naked.

His slightly plump body spread out to the sides, his belly flesh drooping; combined with the leg hair growing back, the scene was far from beautiful.

Cha Mi, seeing everything in place, took the opportunity to gently draw the curtains and open the window.

Su Mo had no interest in studying human anatomy; instead, she winked at Lu Chen, who was also climbing through the window.

’Your turn.’

Receiving her signal, the man deftly climbed in through the window, his footsteps landing heavily on the floor. Cha Mi also shouted on cue, ’Help! Who are you? Somebody help!’

Her feigned cries of despair startled Zhao Li, tied up to the bedhead. But before he could even react for a few seconds, what was originally standing erect and hot suddenly felt ice cold.

By the time it was neatly severed, he hadn’t even noticed the pain.

’Ahhh!’ Cha Mi looked on at such a bloody scene and genuinely screamed aloud.

And Lu Chen had already climbed back out through the window, jumping down with Su Mo.

Li Qian, prepared in advance, walked by the store ’by coincidence’ with Jin Han. They exchanged glances, then moved away tacitly.

What followed was Li Qian and Jin Han casually strolling by, Jin Han taking notice of the panic-stricken Cha Mi running out and giving the owner many Crystal Stones, directly buying her.

In that room, Zhao Li, stripped of his important feature, rolled his eyes back in agony once the pain struck and began screaming madly. The security personnel, as if having arranged it beforehand, arrived at the store entrance mere minutes after the incident, promptly taking him away to Lin Yao’s team.

Not only that, Su Mo, feeling that this was not enough, roamed the streets for a while longer until she found Bai Shitong.

But he wasn’t faring well at the moment, his small body pinned to the ground by several adults, clutching two packets of cookies in his hands, his feeble voice desperately crying out for help.

Seeing that he was just a child, Su Mo became immediately infuriated. In a flash, she appeared in front of the men, her right fist connected with the back of one who was kicking Bai Shitong; her left leg swept fiercely to the side, knocking down two others.

She yelled in anger, ’Scram!’

With that word, an overwhelming pressure bore down on the ordinary people trying to steal the food, who began begging for mercy and ran off without looking back.

The boy’s cookie bags had been crushed in his grip, the contents reduced to crumbs.

He was very thin; when he curled up, the spine along his back protruded visibly as a single line.

Su Mo crouched down, helping him sit up, his face bruised and swollen from the beating.

Lu Chen looked on, his eyes involuntarily turning cold.

’Didn’t I tell you to hide the cookies well? Why did you take them out?’ she asked, trying to soften her voice, sounding helpless.

The familiar tone made the boy cry, tears falling on his inflamed skin, bringing waves of stinging pain, ’The place where I live... it’s been taken over, I didn’t manage to hide the cookies.’

Su Mo listened, her heart aching. There were too many ordinary people out there, and there wasn’t enough housing. If one party was weak, it was common to see them pushed out of their nests.

She silently patted his head and asked, ’Do you have a place to stay tonight?’

’Yes, my mom is waiting for me. I was spotted while running away,’ he said through sobs.

Wiping away his tears, Su Mo said gently, ’I’ll take you there, and I’ll add a few bags of new cookies as a reward for a favor you’ll do for me, is that okay?’

New cookies were more than the boy could ask for. He quickly agreed, saying, ’Okay! Okay!’

Though he was grimacing in pain, he bravely forced himself to stand up.

Lu Chen knelt on one knee and examined the boy’s wounds before saying, "It’s just a superficial injury."

Su Mo knew the boy would be alright, "Let’s go, we’ll take you back first."

Bai Shitong, with a swollen and bruised face, led the two of them into the civilian area, which was mostly dirty and chaotic, and people slept on the streets, sometimes with no place to even put their feet down.

The deeper Su Mo walked, the more furrowed her brows became, "I think the refugee camp still needs to be expanded. In such an environment, viruses can easily breed, which is not good."

Originally, she thought that expanding the area would improve the situation, but in reality, it wasn’t so; the environment was still much worse than she had imagined.

Lu Chen felt the same way and, after a moment of thought, said, "I will discuss it with Rong Bai."

Bai Shitong brought them to an exceptionally tattered tent, standing right next to a heap of garbage.

He said that people would come every day to clear the trash, but the amount was still huge because the items that superpower users didn’t want would pile up there for a second use, and only after being deemed utterly useless would they be discarded.

The garbage heap contained all sorts of things.

The smell was terrible, which is why there were fewer people around here.

Inside the yellowed, barely distinguishable low tent that was too small for a person to enter, and only reaching up to Su Mo’s neck, sat a woman who, upon seeing her son, couldn’t help but shed tears of distress.

Thanks to Bai Shitong’s explanation, Su Mo discovered that this child had a particularly good way with words, speaking very clearly. After he explained everything to his mother, she even tried to come out of the tent to kowtow to the two of them.

Su Mo hurriedly pushed her back into the tent and, pretending to scold casually, threw the cookies she was holding into the tent.

All of this was to keep up appearances.

To prevent the mother and son from being robbed again.

Under their grateful gazes, she took Bai Shitong to a secluded corner and whispered a few words to him.

Not knowing what she had said, the little boy’s face turned red as he looked up uncertainly and asked, "Do we really have to do this?"

"Your friends must be eloquent children, right? Once it’s done, come to my restaurant and find me for your compensation, okay?"

"Where is the adult’s restaurant opening?"

"On that commercial street, it will open in a week, and you will see," she replied.

Bai Shitong nodded earnestly and said, "My lord, go back and wait for the news. I’ll get it done!"

Smiling, Su Mo patted his head and walked into the night alongside Lu Chen.

The man put his arm around her shoulder and asked, "What did you say?"

Looking up at him with a cheeky smile, Su Mo said, "Right now, what we don’t lack is gossip. I won’t tell you yet, just wait and enjoy the show."

When they returned to the restaurant, only Li Qian stood at the door waiting for their return.

Su Mo opened the door, let him in, and glanced outside, "Where’s Jin Han?"

Speaking of this, Li Qian’s expression also seemed a bit strange, but he still answered politely, "He and Cha Mi hit it off and took her back to the group with him."

"What?" Su Mo’s jaw almost dropped, "That’s definitely not part of the plan!"

She knew from early on that in Jin Han’s troop, women were shared. Could it be...

Before she could contemplate further, Li Qian shrugged, "She agreed to it herself; Jin Han didn’t force her."
