The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 345 - 342: Not Going
Luna didn’t know why, she just felt that Elliana Lyle was now as fragile as a flower in the wind, cradled in the palm lest she slip, held in the mouth lest she dissolve.
She had never taken care of a pregnant woman before and had barely encountered a few, so she was being extra cautious at this moment.
At this point, Elliana Lyle raised her head and looked around, only to find that many people had their eyes on them.
Seeing her glance over, they all hurriedly went about their own business.
It must have been her cries a moment ago that caused such a scene.
Instantly embarrassed, her face flushed red, she just wanted to quickly get back into the car, feeling utterly humiliated, even abroad.
...
Back at the villa.
The villa’s cook had prepared chicken soup for her as instructed, but she still couldn’t eat it.
She was simply at the point where whatever she ate, she would vomit, could barely swallow anything even if her mouth was blocked.
She could only eat some fruit and plain porridge.
Even the lightest chicken soup was a strange, fishy food to her now.
One bite would churn her stomach like an emetic.
Luna was fretting at the side, worried about why everything made her vomit—that at least some meat should stay down.
So she thought for a moment and said, "Buddy, why don’t I take you to the United States to see Norman Bennett? Maybe seeing him will make you able to eat something."
"Huh?" She was a bit surprised and then somewhat tempted.
She really longed to see Norman Bennett, very much indeed.
She wished she could meet him right away, hug him, and smell that familiar subtle lotus fragrance on him.
But once the impulse cooled, she realized it wasn’t proper; she didn’t want to trouble Norman Bennett, not at all.
She had already caused Norman Bennett enough trouble.
"No, I’ll just wait for him to come and pick me up." She said with a deep breath, looking at the white chicken soup in the bowl, she decided to drink it all.
Not for her own sake but for the little baby in her belly!
As a mother, she couldn’t let the baby go hungry; an unprecedented sense of responsibility filled her body and mind.
It even made her no longer afraid of childbirth.
She picked up the bowl of chicken soup and drank it all!
Two gulps down, but as soon as she put the bowl down, a wave of nausea surged up.
Seeing it was too late, Luna quickly grabbed the bowl to avoid being vomited on.
"Nausea..."
Luna: "..."
Elliana Lyle: "(●—●)"
She was feeling quite miserable too; what could she eat to feel better? Perhaps something sour.
After the servants tidied up the room, she suddenly craved something and said to Luna, "Luna, I want to eat snail noodles."
"Eat." Luna agreed heartily; as long as she could eat, she could have whatever she wanted.
But then she realized there might not be snail noodles available here, and was a bit stunned.
So, looking troubled, she said, "Buddy, it seems they don’t sell snail noodles here."
"No, I just want something sour." She said as she rubbed her belly, already starting to feel hungry.
Although she could drink plain porridge, it didn’t fill her up, she still wanted something more substantial to stave off hunger.
So she said, "Is there any sweet and sour pork? Or fish with pickled vegetables?"
Thinking about these, she started to salivate, guessing these foods would genuinely stimulate her appetite.
It’d be best if there were just a smidgen of chili; the plain meat broth was simply unbearable for her, and she couldn’t eat the meat either.
Suppressing the original fishy taste might make it much better.
