Chapter 165: Chapter 165: Say My Name, Be Good

Yelena Hughes was afraid she would get stuck in a dream and never wake up.

She never thought of climbing up to someone, especially someone as unreachable as Young Master Yale.

"Young Master..." ๐™›๐’“๐“ฎ๐™š๐”€๐’†๐’ƒ๐“ท๐’๐“ฟ๐™š๐“ต.๐™˜๐’๐’Ž

Jasper Yale clicked his tongue, "Canโ€™t change it, can you?"

She couldnโ€™t say it out loud, pressing her lips tight without speaking.

"Call me by my name."

Yelena saw a hint of interest rising in the manโ€™s eyes, "Could it be you still donโ€™t know my name by now?"

She hadnโ€™t been this close to him before, and they had even done more intimate things.

But now, their relationship had changed, and Yelena not only felt a bit flushed but also slightly short of breath.

"My name is Jasper Yale."

He said it slowly and clearly.

Yelena opened her mouth, "Jasper..."

She was still used to calling him like everyone else didโ€”Young Master Yale.

There was a sense of distance.

Jasper curled a smile at the corner of his lips, "Continue."

Yelenaโ€™s face flushed with a light red, as if making some major decision, harder than concluding a business deal.

"Jasper... Yale."

"Hmm, I heard it. What do you want to say?"

Yelenaโ€™s mind suddenly went blank. What did she want to say?

She couldnโ€™t remember at all, just calling his name left her stuck.

Jasper studied her flushed face, quite pleasing to the eye. He kissed her on the bridge of her nose, wanting to move down further, but Yelena wouldnโ€™t let him.

"Have you ever thought that we... arenโ€™t suitable?"

Jasper hooked her chin with his index finger. He just liked making her look up at him like this.

"Whether itโ€™s suitable or not, you only know after trying. Yelena, Iโ€™m not committing my whole life to you right now. Whatโ€™s the rush?"

He had different feelings toward her now, which is why he wanted a deeper relationship. Unlike the previous physical attraction, Jasper wanted to see how far they could go.

Upon hearing this, Yelena finally felt a little relieved.

"I havenโ€™t had dinner yet."

Yelena was trapped in the chair and couldnโ€™t get up. "Wasnโ€™t there food just now? Who told you not to eat?"

"Watching you and that Dr. Chandler flirting, could I possibly eat?"

Yelena wanted to say that she behaved appropriately. "Then have Hailey Jenkins deliver some food."

"I want to eat something you make."

When Yelena reached the kitchen, she realized things seemed different.

Opening the fridge, it was no longer empty. The vegetable and raw meat sections were well organized and fully stocked with everything.

"What do you want to eat?"

"Anything is fine."

Yelena didnโ€™t want to go through too much trouble, maybe just make some noodles, but Jasper seemed to guess that right away.

"I donโ€™t eat noodles."

He wasnโ€™t like Shawn Thorne who could be satisfied with just a bowl of noodles. "I want a proper meal."

Yelena sighed, "Any meal is fine, right?"

"Donโ€™t give me any fried rice." He wouldnโ€™t eat something that down-to-earth.

Yelena felt this man was truly hard to please!

She rinsed the rice, then busied herself in the kitchen, finding some mushrooms and carrots. Jasper watched TV in the living room, and soon the aroma wafted through.

Yelena made claypot rice, a simple dish. After steaming the rice, she mixed it with vegetables using a spoon.

Jasper sidled up behind her to take a look, "Whatโ€™s this?"

"Claypot rice."

A simplified version.

"Arenโ€™t you too lazy to make a three-dish meal with soup?"

Yelena picked up a bowl, filling it to the brim for him, "As long as itโ€™s not fried rice, this required a bit of thought."

Jasper stared at the bowl of rice, which looked like it was mixed with everything like pig feed.

"I donโ€™t eat it."

Yelena didnโ€™t care and put back the bowl, "Then have Hailey bring something over."

She took off her apron and left. Jasper took a small bite with a spoon and found it rather good.

"I need to go back."

Jasper took a couple of steps out and saw Yelena had already reached the door.

"When will you move in with me?"

Yelena hadnโ€™t considered this question, "My sister still needs my care."

She realized she hadnโ€™t taken her bag, so she walked to the dining table, and upon opening her bag, saw the toy inside.

She sought professional help to decipher it, but no one could open it. A word from Dean Holloway enlightened her.

At that time, Deanโ€™s tone was extremely exaggerated, "You wouldnโ€™t believe, under Young Master Yaleโ€™s care, everyone is a genius, the toughest lawyer, the most mysterious hacker. Try giving it to him."

Not being able to access the contents of the USB made Yelena anxious every day.

She lifted her gaze to look across at the man, thinking the USB could contain important information. Could she hand it over to him?

After struggling in her heart for a while, Yelena finally spoke up.

"Can I ask you a favor?"

"Go ahead."

Yelena took out the USB, "This is my fatherโ€™s relic, he always kept it on him. Maybe the killer thought it was just a toy and didnโ€™t take it seriously. Iโ€™ve tried a long time, but the files inside are encrypted and canโ€™t be opened."

Upon hearing this, Jasper reached out to take it. Yelena looked a little anxious.

"If you decrypt it, can you tell me first?"

"Sure."

Yelena watched as Jasper put away the USB, "I always felt there should be clues inside."

"Donโ€™t worry, blood debts will be paid back in blood. No one can escape."

When Yelena was about to leave, Jasper offered to drive her.

She felt a bit uncomfortable, "I can get back myself. If youโ€™re worried, have a driver take me."

Jasper started the car, and with just the two of them inside, there was no noise to disturb them. How nice.

He drove Yelena to the bottom of her building. She was eager to get out, but her seatbelt wasnโ€™t undone.

Seeing this, Jasper leaned over, one hand resting on the seat, "Let me."

Yelena was so close to him that she could see the veins on his neck extending to his defined jawline. After Jasper undid the seatbelt, he didnโ€™t immediately retreat.

Yelena was afraid of being seen by acquaintances. "Iโ€™m leaving."

"Right now, we have a legitimate relationship. Why are you sneaky?"

"Iโ€™m not being sneaky."

Jasper saw her being stubborn and reached to open the passenger side door. Yelena tried to get out but was trapped by his arms.

Anne Hughes came downstairs to take out the trash and caught sight of the scene.

She was embarrassed to approach but had to pass by to dispose of her trash.

Yelena turned her face away and spotted Anne immediately.

She quickly pushed Jasper away, "Anne!"

Anne couldnโ€™t just stand there, so she braced herself to greet them, "Sis."

She looked at Jasper, remembering Yelenaโ€™s reminder, and changed her form of address, "Mr. Yale."

Jasper frowned slightly, "What did you call me?"
