Chapter 16: Chapter 16: So This Doesn’t Count as Bullying Her?

"This clothes originally belong to me."

Nancy could easily tell that the sleeves were short and the waist didn’t fit Yelena Hughes. Yet, Yelena wore it with a distinctive aura, with that waist, it seemed like a man’s hands could easily control it.

Nancy clenched her palm, "I’m not bullying her, am I?"

Whether it counts or not, isn’t it really up to Jasper Yale to decide?

"Come over here." Nancy called out to Yelena Hughes.

Dean Holloway, lying on the ground, was nursing his head, with one hand stained red with blood.

If Yelena Hughes doesn’t recognize the situation, it’s unlikely either of them could leave.

She arrived in front of Nancy, the person in the wheelchair could only look up, which made her feel even more uncomfortable.

Nancy supported herself with the handles, slowly standing up, and Hailey Jenkins wanted to step forward to assist.

"Go away." Nancy’s voice was displeased, "I’m not disabled and ruined!"

She couldn’t stand steady, and once she let go, she was teetering.

As Nancy was about to fall, she reached out and grabbed Yelena Hughes’ collar.

Yelena Hughes’ shoulder slipped out from the clothes entirely, a black thin bra strap hung on her shoulder, making her collarbones prominent, Jasper Yale seemed to see something hit in his eyes, and it made him uncomfortable.

Neither of them could stand steady, Nancy nearly fell to the ground but was held up by Jasper Yale who stood up.

Her fingers still wouldn’t release until she pulled Yelena Hughes down next to the chair.

"Don’t be stubborn, you can’t stand up now." Jasper Yale’s words contained some displeasure.

Nancy was provoked, waving her hands wildly, one slap hitting Yelena Hughes’ ear.

She thought she was going deaf.

"Jasper, I want to dance, I want to stand beside you, I don’t want to become disabled."

Nancy started crying, Yelena Hughes saw Jasper Yale hold her in his arms, patiently talking to her.

"Not at all, the doctors said, acupuncture will heal it."

"Lies, you all lie to me!"

Yelena Hughes’ ears were buzzing, she thought, having someone to protect you is really nice.

Jasper Yale wiped her tears dry and instructed others to push her out first.

"I’m not leaving."

"Leave the rest to me."

Nancy glanced sideways at the still-seated Yelena Hughes. "Jasper, will you stand up for me?"

"I will, otherwise why would I bring you here?"

Jasper feared her getting too emotional, instructing people to push her outside to wait first.

It seemed this matter wasn’t settled yet.

Yelena Hughes didn’t stand up, Jasper looked down at the floor, "Get up."

She still didn’t move, a man came over and lightly kicked her shoulder.

Only then did Yelena Hughes sit up straight, she pulled her clothes back and held her ear with one hand.

Jasper Yale glanced sideways, "What’s wrong?"

She didn’t respond.

"I’m asking you something!" Jasper’s subordinate spoke loudly.

Yelena Hughes seemed to finally hear, meeting Jasper’s gaze, she replied timidly, "It’s a bit buzzing and hurting."

"Do you need to go to the hospital?"

Yelena Hughes looked disheveled, combined with a bewildered look, it made her seem quite endearing.

She put her hand on the armrest of the chair, looking up at Jasper, "Can I take my colleague away?"

Jasper glanced at Dean Holloway, who was still lying there like a corpse.

"But he offended someone."

Yelena Hughes seemed not to hear, she stared at him without blinking.

Jasper pulled her closer to his side, bending down, his lips almost touching the ear Yelena Hughes was hit on. "He offended me."

Her lips were almost touching the moving adam’s apple of Jasper, the man’s aura was too overwhelming.

Yelena Hughes wanted to retreat, but Jasper’s arms pressed against her neck.

"You’ve already fought, if you really think it’s not enough, why not fight again?"

"Would you bear it?"

She didn’t have anything she couldn’t bear. "Of course, just leave him a miserable life."

Yelena Hughes initially thought Jasper would be furious, but since he showed this attitude, it showed things weren’t too bad.

Yelena Hughes looked at Dean Holloway, who was almost lifeless not far away, she pushed Jasper’s chest. "Let me take him away, you don’t want to get involved in a murder case, do you?"

Jasper didn’t speak, Yelena Hughes, pretending to ’can’t hear’, hurried to Dean Holloway’s side.

She squatted down and called his name, "Zane?"

Dean Holloway already regained his senses, his eyelids fluttered as he looked at her.

Yelena Hughes grabbed a sterile towel from the table, pressing it on his head wound, "Young Master Yale has agreed to let us leave, can you get up?"

Of course, he can get up!

Dean Holloway’s face was filled with blood, as he moved to sit up, his head felt dizzy, he was slightly overweight, and Yelena Hughes with much effort pulled him up.

The two of them walked toward the door, Yelena Hughes clearly heard voices behind them.

Hailey Jenkins asked Jasper a question. "Young Master, did you let them go?"

Jasper’s voice was indifferent, "Which ear did you hear that with?"

Dean Holloway was frightened, his legs turning soft, he didn’t want his head to get split open again. He looked anxiously at Yelena Hughes, what to do now?

She gave him a fierce glare, urging him to quickly leave!

As the two walked out, they drew a lot of attention, after all, Dean Holloway’s condition made anyone take a second look.

Yelena Hughes and him walked out from the tea room, the night was serene, streetlights leaving patchy dancing shadows across her face.

The wind blew, causing Dean’s wound to hurt even more, "Should we call a cab?"

Yelena Hughes’ face was clouded, "Who told you those photos were taken by you?"

"I saw that person called Nancy isn’t someone good, I was trying to take the blame for you."

Yelena Hughes looked at the blood on his cheek, "The photos weren’t released by me at all, who are you taking blame for?"

"Ah? I saw you constantly digging into Nancy Alden’s information, so..." Dean groaned, "I really thought I scored an interview with a big figure, sis, I nearly messed you up big time."

"You’ve gotten me into trouble more times than I can count."

Yelena Hughes, fearing he might bleed himself to death, quickly sent him to the hospital.

On the way back, Nancy leaned on Jasper’s shoulder, "Was I too impulsive just now, it’s lucky you stopped those photos from being sent out."

"She can’t send them out, don’t worry."

Back at The Summit Gardens, Jasper carried Nancy upstairs. When he went to the study, Hailey Jenkins was waiting inside.

"Young Master, I feel there’s a mystery in the photo matter, so I secretly planted a listening device on that man."

Hailey Jenkins turned on the phone, the reception was very clear, you could hear Dean Holloway’s voice distinctly.

He had gone for an emergency, just had stitches in his head, the pain was severe.

"I just asked you for help, you kicked away my hand."

"Would you rather have people believe that we conspired this together?"

Isn’t that a way to end up worse?

Dean Holloway held his head, moaning softly.

Yelena Hughes listened and felt irritated, "Can you stop acting like a woman?"

"However, I’m surprised he didn’t pursue the matter afterward."

Yelena Hughes thought it was about time, she got up to leave, "Let’s go back."

"I’m strongly suspecting he didn’t pursue further because you ’slept’ him over."

Yelena Hughes glanced around, unable to keep a gate on her words, "Try saying that rubbish again."

"Really, especially not everyone can boast a 36D chest. That’s Jasper, a rare breed! How was the experience?"

Jasper pulled out a chair, adopting a comfortable posture leaning back, just as he was about to close his eyes, a girl’s voice sounded.

"Not so great."

"What do you mean not so great?"

Yelena Hughes was quite impatient, "Short, fast, good enough!"
