The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 374: The Wedding (Part One)
The morning sun cast its golden rays upon the sprawling estate where Daniel and Annika’s wedding was to take place. Nestled amidst rolling hills, the venue boasted lush gardens, majestic oak trees, and a grand mansion that exuded old-world charm. The air was filled with the sweet fragrance of roses and lilies, mingling with the sounds of chirping birds and distant laughter.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by the sight of a pristine white marquee adorned with cascading flowers in shades of ivory, blush pink, and lavender. Delicate fairy lights twinkled like stars, weaving through the foliage and casting a warm glow over the scene. A pathway of rose petals led the way to the heart of the venue, where an elegant archway awaited the bride and groom.
The main courtyard was a vision of splendor, with intricately woven tapestries hanging from the walls and ornate candelabras illuminating the space with soft candlelight. In one corner, a string quartet played a melodic tune, adding to the ambiance of romance and celebration.
At the center of it all stood the focal point of the ceremony – a beautifully crafted gazebo draped in billowing white fabric. Swathes of tulle and satin adorned its pillars, creating a dreamlike backdrop for the exchange of vows. The aisle was lined with tall columns entwined with vines and clusters of fresh blooms, leading the eye toward the altar where Daniel and Annika would pledge their love.
The seating arrangement was equally enchanting, with rows of gilded chairs flanking either side of the aisle. Each chair was adorned with delicate lace covers and tied with satin ribbons in hues of gold and champagne. At the front row, reserved for the bridal party, elegant velvet cushions provided a touch of luxury for the esteemed guests.
The wedding feast was set to take place in the gardens, where long banquet tables awaited beneath a canopy of twinkling lights and lush greenery. White linen tablecloths billowed gently in the breeze, adorned with centerpieces of crystal vases overflowing with roses, peonies, and hydrangeas. Candles flickered in ornate holders, casting a warm glow over the sumptuous spread of gourmet delicacies and fine wines.
As the guests mingled and savored the anticipation of the impending ceremony, laughter and music filled the air, creating an atmosphere of joy and enchantment. It was a day of love, laughter, and new beginnings – a celebration of two souls joined together in the sacred bonds of matrimony amidst the timeless beauty of nature’s embrace.
"Everything looks perfect," Emily whispered as her eyes took in the beauty surrounding her. She was so happy for her brother as he was finally marrying the love of his life.
"Indeed." Simon agreed as he wrapped his arm around his sister’s waist and watched the beauty of the venue. He was dressed in a black suit just like the rest of his brothers. As for Emily, she was dressed in a beautiful golden gown that highlighted her emerald eyes and brown hair.
Everyone present at the venue was adorned in luxury from head to toe but the actual show stopper was the bride who was getting ready at the moment. The groom was greeting the guests along with Domenic.
"Where’s Claire?" Emily asked as her gaze searched the area around her to spot the little girl who had become the heart of their family ever since Daniel introduced her and Annika to the rest of their family.
"I think I saw her with Rylan and Leo," Simon answered as he too looked around to find the trio and spotted them almost immediately. "There! They seem to be goofing around." He said while pointing in the direction of the trio with his eyes for Emily to see.
Sure enough, Emily saw Leo and Rylan playing around with Claire, making the little girl giggle at their antics. A smile bloomed on her lips as she watched her family enjoying such a warm moment.
"Dear sis, if you keep smiling like that while looking this gorgeous, you will end up breaking way too many hearts tonight." The comment came from Mark as he came to join the duo.
"Oh! As if you aren’t going to do the same. Look at all those ladies who have been eyeing you from the very moment you made your appearance." Emily teased her brother as she pulled Mark to her other side.
Simon chuckled while Mark just took a glance at the said ladies and ignored them. Right at that moment, his gaze landed on the trio that was creating a buzz at the entrance with their arrival. "Eyes there."
Emily and Simon followed the line of Mark’s sight only to see three very handsome and ethereal-looking men making their entry into the venue.
"Oh my! Such hot-looking dudes and none of them is mine. What a pity." Mark stated while his gaze followed the three men who had successfully grabbed the attention of every guest present there.
Emily spared a glance toward her brother as she asked in surprise, "You are into men?"
"Nah!" Mark denied with a single shake of his head before adding, "But I can appreciate when I see such ethereal beauty." He let out a deep sigh of regret. "How lucky of you sis to have all three of these men... tsk tsk...!"
"Wrong. Aleron isn’t mine." Emily was quick to correct, not realizing that her statement caught the attention of both of her brothers.
"So, you accept that the other two belong to you?" Simon asked and caught Emily’s attention who remained silent and ignored saying anything.
Though Emily hadn’t told her brothers about the bond between her and Shadow, they seemed to have noticed the recent closeness between the two. Though none of them called them out, they were aware of the shift in the relationship between the three of them.
"Silence speaks louder than words." Mark teased before he and Simon burst out into chuckles.
"Stop it, you both." Emily reprimanded her two brothers right before her attention was caught by the two men who stopped right in front of her.
