Chapter 304: Her Brothers’ reasons for disliking Kaiden

Emily hurriedly freshened up before heading out of her assigned hospital room to the one next door where Crist was admitted. She could feel the presence of the rest of her brothers there too.

Ever since she used her powers the previous night, they hadn’t returned to their sleeping state yet. Just one flick of her wrist and she could literally send a person flying several feet away. Thankfully, since her emotions were more or less under control, her powers weren’t trying to break out.

When she and Kaiden finally entered the room, she found not only all of her brothers there in the room but even Jackson, Sam, and Bianca who were also present there, making the room too crowdy to be even allowed by the hospital staff.

As their eyes landed on her, they all immediately parted to make way for her, and she finally got to see Crist who was sitting on his hospital bed with a huge smile on his face. Their gazes met and she noticed how his smile didn’t falter even for a nanosecond, rather his eyes became softer as he signaled for her to come closer.

She didn’t even realize it but she was immediately running towards him and the very next second, she was securely wrapped in his strong arms as they hugged each other.

If not for the fact that she had already shed all of her tears and there were no more left, she would definitely have started crying all over again.

"I’m so sorry, Crist." She muttered while burying her face into his shoulder. Seeing him perfectly healthy and fine after what happened the previous night, she was finally able to relax in the actual manner.

Crist smiled warmly at her as he pulled away from the hug and made her face him. "It’s alright, Em. I’m perfectly fine and so are you. That’s all we need. Right?"

She immediately nodded her head in agreement. As long as he was alright, she was okay with everything. Her brothers were her life and she didn’t want any of them to suffer even a scratch let alone any big injury.

She felt a presence behind her and immediately knew that it was Domenic even before she turned her head around to look at him. The man just patted her head softly as he looked both at her and Crist with warm eyes. "I’m happy to see that both of you are completely fine. But please don’t give us such a scare ever again."

There were chuckles around the room and Emily felt the mood lightening up. She and Crist both nodded their heads in agreement before she finally turned her attention to the others and received some really warm hugs.

"Just a few days and look at you. How come you end up creating troubles? That’s not how I raised you." Jackson was the first one to confront her but his words only received snickers or groans from the others while Emily just gave him a tight hug which the man happily reciprocated.

"That’s enough, you are making me jealous. She’s mine, stay away from her." Bianca was immediately there as she pushed away Jackson and wrapped her arms around Emily as she turned to face the men in the room.

"I want to take my only daughter shopping. If any of you want to come, you can tag along but I’ll definitely appreciate it if you guys won’t." Her words were mostly pointed at Kaiden and the man just raised his hands in surrender. He was in no mood of going against the witch, none of them were.

Once it was clear that no one was opposed to the idea of them going for shopping, Bianca finally turned her attention to Emily as she asked, "What do you think of my idea?"

"I’ll enjoy it as long as you will be there with me," Emily replied honestly. It had been so long since she and Bianca spent any time alone in each other’s company. She would definitely love to have a woman’s company for a change and Bianca was her first preference when it came to that.

"You guys can continue with your plans after lunch. We have planned a little family lunch, so let’s meet at the venue first at noon." Daniel was the one to speak and Emily noticed how the word ’family wasn’t used for the Alessandros only, he actually meant every person that was present in the room and even those who weren’t.

Her eyes met with Kaiden’s and she felt just how happy he was to be finally included in the family. He had waited for so long to get that acceptance. His focus on her was broken when Mark wrapped his arm around his shoulders and whispered something in his ears.

"Mark seems to be finally accepting your boyfriend," Crist whispered in her ear as he pulled her to rest against his shoulder and she happily allowed him.

"What about you?" She asked while looking around the room, seeing her family and friends reacting so warmly with each other, she felt her heart filling with warmth to the brim. She did find her family a little late but she found the perfect one and now, it that had become her entire life.

"I won’t deny it anymore, I have always respected him as our business competitor. Though I didn’t know him personally back then, I still admired him for everything that he has achieved at such an early age. He’s the only person whom I admired after Domenic." Crist answered her question.

Emily was surprised by his sudden confession. "Then why did you treat him so coldly all this time?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Crist remained silent for a couple of seconds before he finally replied, "Because I was worried that he would snatch away my only little sister. We all were but especially me and Mark. That’s why we never treated him warmly or even respectfully. I kinda regret that now, I was being too immature."
