Chapter 62: The Gap Of The Unknown (Slash I)

Sia groans, turning her face and scowling as her body begins to feel heavy again, like she has finally gained control of her body after so long, which is odd—terrible so—because Sia has never experienced an out of body experience before but based on how loopy and limp her mind feels, she wishes for that to be the only experience.

Sia raises an eyebrow, hearing leaves rustle around her, the sound of the crunch of leaves hitting the floor and someone stepping on it, and she gasps, her eyes suddenly snapping open to show the bright skies her purple orbs.

Sia swallows heavily, licking her chap lips and feeling her pale fingers clutch whatever is within reach by her finger tips as the world moves back into view. Sia is confused and disoriented, her body feeling like a lumpy sack of potatoes as she blinks, the world around her feeling weirdly loopy and unreal. In fact, this said world feels like a mixing unrealistic ideals and subtle twinkling of thoughts, yet such world feels real enough that she lifts up her hands, watching as her hands in front of her quiver, her thick sharp nails in her view as she traces her palm with her purple eyes. She heavily swallows, shutting her eyes shut before she opens them again to the world to surround her like a sea.

Sia glances around her; the forest feels as if it is more of a smokey, visionary hue under the bright sun—like the sun is a copy of itself and not the real thing—as the slime creature from before screeches, its thick, slimy green body roaming through trees and slithering through branches as its beady eyes land on Sia. The slime creature then hisses as it hurriedly aims itself to crash into Sia’s face. Sia, however, unconsciously dodges the attack, almost and very harshly and aggressively tripping over her own to feet as she hears the slug crash into a near tree and cry in agony at the pain.

Sia loudly breathes, her voice not reaching her but coming out in pants as she looks to her feet, realizing that her body doesn’t feel like her own--like someone is controlling her body like a puppet and moving her wherever and whenever they please. Her body drags forward before she steps back, and her chest feels light, her eyes glow like there’s lighting in them, and her veins and muscles relax, like whoever is controlling her body is exhuming some drug that relaxes and numbs her.

Sia sharply turns around, eyeing the oncoming slub with wide, blinding eyes as she dodges another incoming attack, this time by side stepping away and reaching for her belt, where her small spin of thread. Sia spins the thread; the weapon with every turn increasing in size before she sways forward, running to the slug turning its head, its small mouth opening wide to screech, but Sia is faster, her eyes glowing as she lodges her strong fist, covered in thin wire, into the slug’s stomach. There’s a pause, a beat of breath before yellow juice sprays out of the slug, covering Sia in gallows and dripping down her large string of thread.

Sia doesn’t flinch, spinning a thin thread of purple wire and cutting the slug in half by the strength of the way she stretches the wire and back to her side, watching with bright eyes as the slug, spilt in half, drops to the ground.

Sia breathes heavily, looking up, but blinking to clear her blurry vision. When Sia tries to look up again, it’s none other that someone she doesn’t expect--Prince Miuoi, the eldest son of the kingdom, holding a large black and gold horn as he softly looks down at her, his expression gently yet void of emotion.

"Wake Up, Knight Sia." Prince Miuoi said, opening his plump lips to blow his black horn, a bright, bluish green smoke rolls out of the horn and into the air, swimming through the air and landing near Sia’s nose, where she smells the sweet scent, stumbles back, and throws her head back, feeling her knees go weak as her eyes fall shut.

...

Sia blinks, staring up at the bright sky as the sun hits her pale skin. She groans, feeling a sticky texture all around her body and hair and even on he glasses, which is like, so gross.

Sia swipes her dirtied cheek, staring at the pile of yellow goo on her hand in horror. Sia then slowly turns her head, meeting eyes with a worried Koven, and surprisngly, a gentle-smiley Prince Miuoi, who smiles and waves his hand down at her.

Sia springs to sit up, first looking at her hands, the two men beside her, the cut-in-half slug near their feet, and then at Prince Miuoi, who doesn’t say anything, just smiles at her as she shakes, her eyes wide with tears while realizing that there is slug all over her, and her dress and newly polished nails are covered in dead-slug.

Sia sobs, then screams.

...

"Shaka! Shaka!" Li-Li cries, her small, tiny yet mighty fist readying themselves to attack their approaching enemies.

Li-Li woke up beside Shaka in this strange forest, both woman waking up and turning to each other at the same time before they sit up and gasp, taking in their surroundings and assessing the forest.

After a while of sitting and chatting about how cute Koven looks today (courtesy of Li-Li, of course, because Li-Li has told her bestie, Shaka in secret that she has a very (very) small yet kind of strong yet its complicated interest in the hulk Koven (which of course, Shaka approves, because Shaka is awesome), the two girls decided to wander the forest in search of a way out. After no luck for a good while, Shaka and Li-Li found a spilt pathway and tried both directions (many times, mind you) with no luck, which resulted in each girl giving up and laying back-to-back while they discuss what they should eat when they get back to the knight campus when they heard a intruder step onto a tree branch.

Li-Li and Shaka spring up, their conversation interrupted by two twin trolls, both very green and very ugly, carrying large tree bats with spikes as they barely give the girls any warning as they spring to attack them.

Which leads Li-Li and Shaka--back to back--each fighting off their opponent before spinning, switching opponents and landing damage before they switch again.

Li-Li, however, notices that Shaka’s attacks hold less destructive power as usual, her large hammer held in her tiny hands usually destroys half the premise by now, but Shaka blandly swings before stumbling back, her strong back colliding with Li-Li’s.

"Shaka, Shaka! Is Shaka okay?" Li-Li asked, dodging a incoming swing from the troll, taking a deep breath in and out, and fighting her fist, aiming her small yet mighty fist to collide with the troll’s abdomen, which pushes the troll back enough to scream and collide with a incoming tree.

"I’m okay, Li-Li." Shaka said, but then she groans, holding her stomach.

"Shaka?!" Li-Li turns her head, her big blue eyes filled with worry. "Are you hurt?"

Shaka stiff grins, lifting up a shaky thumb to her friend.

"Goodbye, my friend." Shaka said. "My hunger cannot carry me through another moment of this fight."

"No! S-Shaka-!" Li-Li said, spinning around to check on her friend, but she sees Shaka miss the way the troll is readying thselves for a tough swing to her head, but Li-Li must always protect Shaka, no matter the cost, so Li-Li grabs Shaka’s hand and pulls her, causing Li-Li to stumble backwards with Shaka in toll.

Li-Li watches with wide eyes as she and Shaka are falling face first into the tree in the middle of the pathways. Li-Li yelps, closing her eyes for the impact, but the impact never comes. Instead, Li-Li watches with big eyes as her and Shaka fall through the glowing tree and right into a tall, really famailr bulk of metal.

"Oh! Hey guys!" The bulk of metal-oh right, Holy Knight Zayn said as she scratches her head, holding both girls in her hands as they stare at her wide big eyes. "I guess you got out the maze okay too! That’s great!"

"How did...?" Shaka asked with squinty eyes, eyeing the other knights--Holy Knight Zayn, Captain Jeremiah, Knight Amur, Knight Chase, there’s Magician Lia and Alaine, Vice-Captain Clarke with the Holy Spirit Rel, Prince Miuoi and Koven and Sia who’s covered in something that’s really close looking-."

"The maze is more simple than many realize." It’s an incoming voice--a golden portal opens to a pale hand, which quickly retreats, and then Knight Co and a wide-eyed Milly in toll as Co calmly dust himself off and shoves the forest map in his hands. "You believe me now, Knight Milly?"

Milly only shoots Co a softly glare, making sure to purposely avoid the man’s bright purple eyes as he gives Milly a raised-eyebrow look.
