Chapter 708: Chapter 708: She’s My Wife

Willow Grant trembled all over. She opened her mouth but found she couldn’t utter a single word.

"Let’s go." Damian Knight shifted his gaze from Willow Grant to Summer Monroe, and the coldness in his eyes disappeared instantly, replaced by a gentle voice.

Two attitudes, worlds apart.

Willow Grant clearly saw this and felt her legs go weak, collapsing to the ground in a fit of sobs.

She didn’t understand why the heavens were so unfair. Why did the person she liked happen to favor the one she despised the most?

Willow Grant cried for a while but eventually pulled herself together, took out her phone, and dialed Mrs. Grant’s number.

"Mom... waaah, Damian Knight got married, he married someone else! When exactly will you come to Crestfall?!"

"What?! When did this happen? Why am I hearing nothing about it? How absurd, getting married and still letting my precious daughter go to his house. You hang in there; as soon as I finish my current affairs, your father and I will come right over!"

With that assurance from her mother, Willow Grant finally calmed down.

She stood up from the ground and decided to go to Knight Manor to pack her bags right away.

So what if he’s married?

Susan Stone’s reaction clearly showed she didn’t want Summer Monroe entering the house. As long as her parents came to pressure Damian Knight, she’d still have a chance!

But for now, she couldn’t afford to lose face in front of Damian Knight anymore; she had to maintain her noble elegance.

...

On the other side, Summer Monroe followed Damian Knight towards the elevator.

Once inside the elevator, Summer Monroe attempted to say something to ease the awkward atmosphere, but then Damian Knight suddenly turned to her and asked, "Did you mean the things you said earlier?"

"What?" Summer Monroe was taken aback, having not yet gathered her thoughts.

Damian Knight softly reminded her, "You said you would live well with me and bear children for me."

Summer Monroe’s face flushed once more.

"I, I..."

"Summer." Damian Knight placed his hands on her shoulders and said in a low voice, "Now that my mom already knows, others will find out sooner or later. Maybe we can turn pretend into reality?"

Summer Monroe looked into Damian Knight’s eyes tightly; his dark pupils seemed to have whirlpools, continuously drawing her in.

"I..."

"Ding—" The elevator arrived, and the door quickly opened, revealing two hotel guests outside.

Summer Monroe’s words were stuck in her throat, but Damian Knight boldly held her hand and walked out.

Summer Monroe instinctively wanted to pull away but was held tighter by Damian Knight.

The two guests stared at their backs and whispered, "That looks like Young Master Knight, doesn’t it?"

"Does he have a girlfriend?"

"He’s not that young anymore; having a girlfriend is normal. But if he’s coming out of a hotel... maybe she’s not his girlfriend, maybe just a fling."

No sooner had they spoken than they saw the elevator door, about to close, open again.

A hand reached in, and as they looked up, they saw Damian Knight’s face.

"Young, Young Master Knight..." They were instantly on edge.

Damian Knight stated flatly, "She’s not my fling; she is my wife."

The two were stunned but watched as Damian Knight turned and left, once again taking hold of the girl’s hand after a few steps.

This time, the elevator door remained shut, and the two people transformed into cackling hens, chattering endlessly.

Summer Monroe clearly heard what Damian Knight had just said.

In the next moment, her hand was once again held.

Summer Monroe hesitated but didn’t pull away, letting him lead her along.

Standing at the hotel entrance, Henry Stanton saw the two walking hand in hand, internally debating whether or not to approach and speak.
