The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 647: Preparing to Sue Summer Monroe
Mio Osborne’s parents aren’t aware that he hasn’t obtained the teaching qualification from Britton University yet.
They just think their son has a successful career and should start a family.
With nothing to do in retirement, they are eager to have a grandchild.
Normally, Mio Osborne would have outright refused, but thinking of his unusual feelings for Summer Monroe, he suddenly agreed, saying, "Alright, I’ll come back after teaching the last class this afternoon."
Mio’s mother was overjoyed and said, "Great, great, I’ll go buy groceries now and cook all your favorite dishes tonight."
"Okay," Mio replied without much emotion, then hung up the phone.
He turned to look at the tightly closed classroom door, and the image of Summer Monroe’s pale, slender neck flashed in his mind again.
He immediately shook his head vigorously and cursed lowly once more.
It must be because he hadn’t had a girlfriend for too long, which caused him to have those unusual feelings towards Summer Monroe.
He should just follow his mother’s advice, go on a blind date, and find a girlfriend, to avoid having such irrational thoughts about a student who doesn’t bother with learning.
But Mio Osborne never thought about why, upon seeing the news of Summer Monroe being kicked out of her home, he immediately went to the principal to secure a scholarship spot for her.
...
On the other side.
First Ross Hospital.
Claire Woodward received a call from Mrs. Woodward, irritably refusing, "I’m not going on a blind date; the hospital is so busy, where would I find the time?"
Over the phone, Mrs. Woodward pleaded and apologized, "Claire, please listen to mom and meet him. I saw the photo, he’s tall and handsome, a university teacher, graduated from Crestfall University, with a bright future. Just for mom’s sake, meet him tomorrow. If you don’t like him, I won’t force you, okay?"
Claire had no choice but to agree, "Fine, I’ll just go for a meal, and I’ll leave right after."
"Great, as long as you’re willing to go. You can go with mom then, it’s settled."
"Got it," Claire replied impatiently, then hung up the phone.
Just then, Charles Chapman pushed the door open.
"Claire."
Claire looked at Charles and said, "Can you cover for me tomorrow night? I need to go out for a meal."
"Sure, no problem!" Charles agreed wholeheartedly, then smiled and said, "I’ve got some good news. The heart pacemaker robot still hasn’t arrived. According to the schedule, if Summer Monroe had organized it last night, it should have arrived by now. I’m sure she’s not going to deliver it. We can prepare to sue her."
Claire felt her restless mood stabilize a bit upon hearing this.
"Then get a lawyer," Claire said, pulling a bank card from her bag and tossing it onto the table, "I’ll cover the lawyer fees, and you handle the rest. In any case, I don’t want to see someone who’s not responsible for patients." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Charles nodded repeatedly but didn’t take Claire’s card.
"You shouldn’t have to pay for it! Leave it all to me. I’ll get a lawyer right away."
Charles declared, emphatically patting his chest as if nothing could go wrong.
Claire hesitated for a moment, then said, "No need to rush, the agreed time is before midnight. If it arrives before then, we’ll end up looking bad and might even get countersued."
"That’s absolutely impossible!" Charles firmly stated, "If she had the capability, the item would have been delivered by now. The fact that it’s not here yet means she simply doesn’t have the ability."
Claire was silent for two seconds before finally nodding and saying, "Alright," and pulled out a stack of medical records, adding, "I’m going to do rounds; I’ll leave this matter to you."
