The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 563: Talent
Doctor Chapman walked while calling Claire Woodward.
The first call went through and was immediately rejected.
But Doctor Chapman didn’t mind; after all, Claire often hung up on him.
Doctor Chapman quickly dialed again, and this time Claire finally answered, though she was clearly impatient: "Charles Chapman, are you done yet? Don’t you know I’m attending an academic forum outside?"
"Claire, you need to come back immediately," Doctor Chapman said, fearing Claire would hang up again, and quickly summarized the situation at the Midnight Coffee House, finally adding, "Young Master Knight and Young Master Ross said they would send a helicopter for you. Can you ask for leave and come back this once?"
Claire was silent for a full ten seconds, and Doctor Chapman thought she had hung up again, but then her voice suddenly came through the phone: "I’ll ask for leave now and head to Leno Airport."
"Great!" Doctor Chapman was extremely pleased and wanted to mention the issue with the pacemaker, but Claire had already hung up.
Doctor Chapman was puzzled, thinking Claire’s decision to come back meant she had changed her attitude towards him; but it seemed like she wasn’t returning for him at all?
Doctor Chapman didn’t overthink it, assuming Claire was returning because of their Young Master, Isaac Ross.
He quickly returned to the ward and informed Damian Knight that Claire was heading to Leno Airport.
Damian gave a slight nod and dialed a number.
"Assistant Shelton, dispatch a helicopter from Leno Airport to pick up a doctor named Claire Woodward."
After receiving Assistant Shelton’s response, Damian hung up directly.
Doctor Chapman rubbed his hands excitedly: "So, you have planes over there too. That’s great; it can reduce the time to five hours. Claire will be back in five hours."
"It’s three hours," Isaac Ross reminded from the side, "as he has a dedicated helicopter route, which is nearly twice as fast as a regular flight."
Doctor Chapman was even more delighted, exhilarated at the thought of his goddess showcasing her expertise again.
"Young Master Knight, Young Master Ross, I’ll head back to the emergency room first."
After greeting the two, Doctor Chapman left the ward.
Almost as soon as Doctor Chapman left, the patient’s attending doctor came in, respectfully handed a note to Damian Knight, and said, "Young Master Knight, this is the list the lady asked me to give you. I’ve checked off everything I could prepare, and marked a line through what I couldn’t. She said you might be able to help with what I can’t get."
The attending doctor’s voice grew softer as he spoke.
The man before him was tall, handsome, and exuded an overwhelming aura, making it hard for anyone to meet his gaze.
Damian Knight reached out with long, distinct fingers, picked up the note between two fingers.
He glanced at the note, where some rare herbs and special equipment were marked — things the attending doctor couldn’t find but were effortless for him.
Damian said, "Got it, thank you for your efforts," and then called for the bodyguard in the hallway, instructing them to prepare the items on the note.
Isaac Ross spoke at the right moment, "The boss asked you to prepare these... can she detoxify too?"
"Yes," Damian Knight nodded, then said, "Perhaps we won’t need your hospital’s famous physician; Summer Monroe might be able to cure it."
"That’s incredible!" Isaac Ross murmured, "Claire’s been learning medicine with her parents since she was a child."
Damian Knight raised an eyebrow, his pride evident: "There’s a thing called talent."
