Chapter 486: Chapter 486: Fainting

On the other side, the women’s restroom.

Initially, Summer Monroe was still embarrassed about Damian Knight buying sanitary products for her, but as the pain in her lower abdomen became increasingly severe, she could no longer concern herself with that. Her entire body felt like a pile of mush, utterly devoid of strength.

Just as Summer felt she couldn’t hold on any longer, Damian’s cautious voice came from the door: "Summer, are you still in there?"

Summer replied with her remaining strength, "I’m... I’m in the first stall."

"Okay."

Damian responded and then took a few steps to the restroom stall door to hand the sanitary products to Summer.

Summer bent down with difficulty to take them.

While using the sanitary products, she found even tearing open the packaging incredibly simple, and once she had her pants on, she felt like she had been soaked in water, drenched with cold sweat.

This situation had never occurred to her so severely before. This time, it was likely due to severe hormonal imbalance coupled with acclimatization issues, making it particularly serious.

Summer checked to make sure there were no leaks on her pants and breathed a slight sigh of relief.

She stood up to open the restroom stall door, but as soon as she took a step forward, everything went black before her eyes and she immediately lost consciousness.

Outside the restroom, Damian, who was waiting patiently, suddenly heard a dull thud from inside.

His heart clenched tightly as he called toward the inside, "Summer, are you okay?"

All that came in response was his own echo.

A very bad feeling rose in Damian’s heart. Without thinking much, he stepped once more to the door of Summer’s restroom stall, pounding on it forcefully.

"Summer! Can you hear me talking?"

Inside, there was still no sound whatsoever.

"Damn it!" He cursed, pounding the door forcefully again, but there was still no response.

A few seconds later, Damian stopped pounding the door.

He looked at the restroom stall. The door was still locked from the inside, making it impossible to open from the outside. If he forced it open, the stall was so small that the door could easily fall on Summer.

After thinking for two seconds, Damian stepped back two steps, suddenly leaping forward, grabbing the top of the stall door with both hands, and then, with a forceful twist of his wrist, he positioned both feet on either side of the stall door.

He saw Summer inside the stall, fainted on the floor, her face pale, and her entire body soaked in sweat as if she had been through something terrifying.

Startled, Damian quickly jumped inside, scooping Summer up in his arms and rushing out at such a speed that a shadow seemed to flash by.

Just as a girl entered to use the restroom, she only saw a dark shadow flash by, causing her hair to fly.

When she took a careful look, there was indeed nothing there.

Was she seeing things? Why did it feel like someone had just rushed past her at lightning speed??

...

In the medical room.

When Summer opened her eyes, she was met with the sight of a white ceiling, and the air was filled with the smell of disinfectant.

"Summer, you’re finally awake!" Holly Holloway’s excited voice sounded.

Summer’s reaction was half a beat slow, and only after two seconds did she turn her head toward the direction of the voice.

She saw Holly looking at her with a worried expression, on the verge of tears.

"Why am I here?" Summer opened her mouth, only to find her voice hoarse and frightening.

"I’ll pour you some water!" Holly stood up, and suddenly, a large hand extended a glass of water.

Summer looked up and met the deep black eyes of Damian Knight.

Those usually cold black eyes were now filled with concern.
