The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 370: Only Understands Human Speech
Summer Monroe was looking down to see if she had any missed calls when suddenly, Mio Osborne sternly said, "Didn’t you hear? There’s a test soon, and you’re still playing with your phone?"
Summer looked up at Mio’s stern face and said nothing as she quietly put away her phone.
Principal Payne, standing nearby, felt a bit awkward. After all, Summer was a student he had placed into the class, and being scolded by Mio made him somewhat displeased. Protectively, he said, "Professor Osborne, aren’t you being too strict? It’s not time yet, is it?"
Mio was about to speak when Summer interjected, "Principal, Professor Osborne is right. The placement test is important, and he’s just looking out for me. I’ll head to the classroom to prepare for the exam now, you carry on with your work."
No matter what Mio said, Summer didn’t mind, but she didn’t want to cause any discord between the principal and Mio because of her.
Mio’s words were taken over by Summer. He looked at her calmly, then nodded slightly to the principal before heading towards the admissions office.
The principal pulled Summer aside and whispered, "Monroe, don’t take it to heart. Professor Osborne may have a bit of a temper, but you’ll find out in time, he’s not bad-tempered, just too straightforward. As long as you study hard, he’ll change his view of you."
"Thank you, Principal." Summer thanked him sincerely, then walked towards the teaching building.
She always walked quickly, so she soon spotted Willow Grant coming down the stairs.
Since Summer didn’t know where the teaching building was, she leisurely followed behind Willow Grant.
Willow Grant seemed to notice, turned her head to glance, then disdainfully said, "Oh, so it’s you behind me, Miss Monroe who got in through the back door." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Summer didn’t reply and continued forward because she already saw that the teaching building was ahead.
Seeing Summer ignoring her, Willow Grant angrily caught up, saying, "What are you acting all high and mighty for? I was talking to you, didn’t you hear? Don’t you even have basic manners?"
Summer replied expressionlessly, "I only understand when people speak."
Willow Grant’s face darkened, then she remembered Mio’s words, sneering, and said, "Anyway, in a month you’ll be kicked out. Instead of being expelled then, why not leave early yourself? What do you think?"
Summer finally looked directly at Willow Grant.
When she looked at someone seriously, there was a sharp light in her eyes.
Willow Grant felt a strong pressure coming straight at her, causing her to clench her fists and take a step back, asking, "What, what do you want to do?"
She thought Summer was about to hit her.
However, Summer merely curved her lips into a faint smile and said, "Do you know what happened to the last person who caused me trouble?"
Before Willow Grant could respond, Summer continued, "She had a funeral three days later."
Willow Grant paused, then angrily asked, "Are you threatening me?"
Summer said calmly, "I’m just stating a fact."
After saying this, she didn’t waste any more time on Willow Grant and walked away.
The principal had told her that the prep class was on the first floor of Building A, so it shouldn’t be hard to find.
Behind her, a furious Willow Grant caught up, about to swear, when she saw a few elderly professors with briefcases walking towards them. She immediately fell silent, struggling to suppress her anger as she walked with Summer towards the teaching building.
Along the way, she kept telling herself not to stoop to Summer’s level.
Would she really bite back if a dog bit her?
Willow Grant’s mood gradually calmed.
As they approached the prep class, Summer suddenly stopped two seconds before reaching the door.
