The Alpha King's Nemesis-Chapter 15: A Path of Vengeance ()
"The human body is not strong enough to shoulder the abilities shared by man and wolf alone, it will be a tasking process on you and extremely painful too." Nile warned.
"So you have said." Zariah replied in a blank tone.
"I am being serious Alpha, I will need to reach into the most sacred parts of your mind to harness the bond between yourself and Torin,"
"All of your strength will return but it will be like relieving your first shift all over again, only this time you won’t be getting a wolf... only your abilities will be returned." Nile said in a worried tone.
"I Alpha Zariah Torin Moonstone grant my permission to the spirit guide." Zariah said as she laid down on her bed.
Zariah gazed up at nothing in particular as Nile stood above her, two of his fingers were placed on her temple as his spiritual energy washed through her.
Zariah was not certain as to what exactly he was doing, no one could really understand the methods of the spirit elementals save for a fellow spirit elemental.
However after a short while, Zariah felt an excruciating pain spread through her body rapidly, Zariah released a quiet gasp as pain exploded through her,
Zariah felt her bones, muscles, cells, veins, arteries and every single organ in her body pulse with pain and Zariah gritted her teeth to keep in the scream that threatened to erupt from her mouth.
Zariah could feel every component within her body expanding beyond their normal capacity as her human cells were forced to shoulder the full power of her supernatural abilities that should have been a burden shared by man and wolf.
The pain Zariah felt was beyond describing, yet Zariah did not permit even the smallest scream to escape her lips.
’You have hard worse Zari! remember?!’ Zariah reminded herself as memories of those horrifying days in that dark dungeon filled her mind,
Those days where all she knew was pain as her body was battered with a metal whip, the sharp spikes stretching all along the length of the whip digging into her skin, tearing and ripping her flesh viciously with each strike,
The wolfsbane lathered on the whip hindered Zariah’s regenerative abilities but not for long enough that she would actually die, only enough so she felt each and every second of excruciating pain before she healed and then the whole process began again.
The pain Zariah felt at this moment was nothing compared to the pain she had felt then and as her body remembered this, the pain she currently felt quickly became insignificant fading away to the back of her mind.
Zariah’s strained expression eased and she gazed up blankly as Nile continued what was supposed to be an extremely painful process but Zariah hardly felt it anymore.
Another short moment passed and soon Zariah felt a familiar strength filling her bones and muscles,
Her cells, veins, arteries and every organ in her body contracted in response to that familiar strength as they returned to their previous state.
The process took a little over an hour but when it was finally done, Nile stepped back and punched a fist out at Zariah.
In the blink of an eye, Zariah had vanished from where she previously was, moving with speed so great one would think she had completely disappeared and reappeared somewhere else rather than run.
Zariah glanced down at her injured arm and watched as the injury which had refused to heal for over an entire day swiftly closed up, skin and flesh repairing itself till not even a scar could be seen.
"Alpha Zariah is back." Darren who had been watching from the side heaved a sigh of relief and headed to Zariah, pulling her into a tight hug.
Zariah smiled slightly as she basked in his familiar warmth, nodding her head slowly.
"Not entirely...I will never be the same without Torin but yes, I am back." Zariah agreed, a dark look in her eyes.

Zariah stared up at the crimson barrier pulsing with raw spiritual energy, as she stared at it, she could practically see the life force of all the crimson wolves who had given up their lives to erect this barrier.
All Zariah’s life, this barrier had been the very boundary of her existence, she had never stepped a foot out to the other side and she had never intended to until she was carried away as a prisoner of war.
However this time, she would be stepping out of the crimson barrier of her own volition, she would be venturing into the outworld for the second time in two lifetimes but this time the choice was hers to make.
Zariah did not feel any sense of hesitation, she was already a danger to her own pack and if she stayed anymore without doing anything different, things would play out in the exact same way as they had in her previous lifetime.
And so Zariah decided it was best she left, without her, Crimson Moon was much safer and only when Zariah went to the source of all the destruction of the previous lifetime would she be able to find out what had truly happened.
Only then would she be able to find out just why and how they had forged the mate bond, just how they had been able to pass through the crimson barrier and infiltrate crimson moon,
Just why everyone she knew and loved had to be sacrificed for an ambition she still could not even understand, just why Zariah herself had to die in such a painful and humiliating manner,
Zariah had so many questions and none of the answers were within crimson moon territory,
Zariah knew the only people who could give her the answers she needed and Zariah would wring every last answer out of them right before she ripped them to shreds.
Zariah tilted her head back and gazed up at the sky, her heart tightening with rage and deep hatred.
Right from the moment she had awakened, Zariah had already known she would take this step, she had only awaited the arrival of the Alpha King’s invitation.

’Father...today I break my oath, today I venture into the outworld, leaving behind Crimson Moon.’
’You know my heart, this blood debt owed to me must be repaid in blood, this injustice done to me, I cannot forgive... I will never forgive, every last pain I and my pack endured I will deliver to them a hundred times over...’
’I do not dare ask for the creator’s mercy, neither do I need his forgiveness...he let me die and then saved me alone, for what purpose?’
’I will walk a different path in this lifetime, a path of blood and vengeance, I will stop at nothing to achieve my goals, I will bring the supernatural realm to it’s knees if I have to,’
’They were all meant to bow before crimson moon anyways, we took the path of the meek and where did that take us?’
’This time, I will do it all differently, I will let the supernatural realm see for themselves the true power of Crimson Moon.’
’This time, whoever stands in my way will face but one fate...death. And if the creator disapproves, he will face my blade too...’
’Alpha Zariah Torin Moonstone already died on that execution platform and my soul was damned the moment that silver sword pierced my heart...I have no regrets,’
’Blessed creator, watch over me...or not, it matters not. I have only but one request...do not get in my way.’

Zariah’s gaze darkened as her eyes fluttered open and she stepped through the crimson barrier.
