Chapter 205: Chapter 205: Cyan Dragon Ring!

Who is Chu Yue?

Lin Xuan was even more puzzled. He didn’t know Chu Yue, but this wasn’t his fault, as Chu Yue hadn’t been at the Heavenly Dao Academy recently. Lin Xuan hadn’t even heard her name, so he was completely unaware that Chu Zhongtian had such a sister.

The manor guards were also stunned. He doesn’t know Chu Yue? A disciple of the Heavenly Dao Academy doesn’t recognize Chu Yue? One of them frowned, growing suspicious of Lin Xuan’s identity.

He said coldly, "Since you’re not here to attend the banquet, then you should leave. Kid, get out of here. This isn’t a place for you to cause trouble."

"Look at everyone else. Even a Grandmaster has to be respectful here."

Lin Xuan was about to say something more when a rumbling sound echoed from the distance. A chariot flew through the sky and landed nearby. It was pulled by a powerful Demon Beast, majestic and extraordinary. As it landed, the beast let out a low roar, a sound like muffled thunder that shook the area.

Several guards hurried over. They arrived before the chariot, clasped their fists, and greeted respectfully, "Welcome, Young Lady!"

The chariot doors opened, and a woman in a cyan dress stepped down. She was beautiful, but her face was as frosty as her eyes, which were like autumn water laced with chill. She merely nodded slightly before proceeding toward the manor.

As she reached the gate, she saw Lin Xuan and frowned. "Who is this person? Why is he loitering outside our manor?"

One of the guards was taken aback. He scowled at Lin Xuan and said, "Kid, why haven’t you left yet?" Then he turned back to the woman and explained, "Reporting to the Young Lady, this kid must be a disciple from the Heavenly Dao Academy, probably trying to sneak into the banquet."

The woman in cyan nodded. I knew Chu Yue was holding a banquet at Cyan Dragon Manor. I even overheard some elders in the manor discussing it. Originally, Chu Yue wasn’t qualified to enter the Ancient Celestial Hall, a place second only to the Cyan Dragon Grand Hall. Generally, not even Grandmasters are permitted inside. With Chu Yue’s status, she naturally wouldn’t qualify. However, she has a brother, Chu Zhongtian, who is destined to become a Martial Emperor. Cyan Dragon Manor is giving him face, making an exception to allow Chu Yue into the Ancient Celestial Hall.

When the news got out, disciples from many noble families and sects clamored to attend. The prestige of this banquet was immense; just being present was a symbol of status.

This young disciple in front of me must be here to crash the party, then, she thought, dismissing him from her mind.

Hearing the chatter behind him, Lin Xuan turned to look. When he saw the woman in the cyan dress, he paused. He sensed Dragon Dao Power emanating from her. Clearly, she must have cultivated some type of Dragon Martial Arts, he mused. Intrigued, he began to walk toward her.

"Stop, kid! That is our Cyan Dragon Manor’s Young Lady! Show some respect!" a guard shouted.

The Young Lady of Cyan Dragon Manor! Upon hearing this, Lin Xuan was stunned. A gleam appeared in his eyes, and he raised his hand.

"Oh no, he’s going to attack the Young Lady! Stop him, quickly!"

The surrounding guards’ expressions changed as they drew their blades.

Li Qiushui was equally stunned. My status is extraordinary. My grandfather is the Manor Master of Cyan Dragon Manor. I am the Young Lady of the Manor. Who would dare to attack me? Even a Grandmaster wouldn’t dare. Yet this insignificant disciple dares to make a move on me? Does he have a death wish? Her expression darkened, and she prepared to order the guards to seize him.

But in the next moment, she froze. She saw that Lin Xuan had only raised his hand; he hadn’t attacked. What does this mean?

Curiously, Li Qiushui looked toward his hand. What she saw astounded her. On Lin Xuan’s finger was a ring. It was a bronze ring, engraved with a Cyan Dragon. One of the Cyan Dragon’s claws reached toward the heavens, as if to tear the sky apart.

This... this is...?! Li Qiushui was shocked. The Cyan Dragon motif isn’t strange. Dragons are mythical creatures, after all, and many families use them. But a dragon with one claw reaching for the sky... no family uses that pose. Only our Cyan Dragon Manor uses it. My grandfather, the Manor Master, wears a similar ring. To think this kid has a Cyan Dragon Ring too!

She stood dumbfounded. Seeing the guards about to move, she commanded, "Stop!"

The guards halted, thoroughly confused. Is the Young Lady going to handle this herself?

Li Qiushui walked over and examined the ring closely. She then exclaimed, "How do you have this ring? Who are you?"

"It seems you recognize this ring." A smile touched Lin Xuan’s lips. "This ring is an ancestral heirloom, passed down to my hands. It belongs to me now, and I want to see your Manor Master."

An ancestral heirloom! Li Qiushui was even more shocked. What is his identity? What is his connection to our Cyan Dragon Manor? She didn’t know much, so she could only nod. "Then, please follow me, sir."

Lin Xuan’s mysterious identity made Li Qiushui wary. She politely invited him inside, leaving the guards behind completely dumbfounded.

Heavens, this is unbelievable! Who on earth is this kid? He actually made our Young Lady so respectful! Our Young Lady has a notoriously bad temper. She’s cold as ice and usually doesn’t bother talking to people. Even when Grandmasters greet her, she just gives a casual nod. She has never personally led the way for anyone! This kid is too extraordinary! Could it be that he’s not just some ordinary disciple from the Heavenly Dao Academy? Good heavens! Could this kid be a Prince from the royal family? Or a Crown Prince from some ancient noble family? Only someone with such a status could warrant such attention from our Young Lady.

As Li Qiushui led the way, she continued to speculate about Lin Xuan’s identity. I remember Grandfather saying there are two Cyan Dragon Rings. He said if I ever saw the other one in someone else’s possession, I must be extremely respectful and never, ever offend them. This was why she was being so courteous to Lin Xuan.

The two walked toward the depths of Cyan Dragon Manor, arriving at a pavilion covered in vines. The area was exceptionally quiet.

"Young Lady, you’ve returned." As they approached, a bald old man stepped out from the pavilion and bowed respectfully. He was the Grand Steward, responsible for managing the daily affairs of Cyan Dragon Manor.

Li Qiushui was also very polite toward him. "Uncle Fu, where is my grandfather?" she asked.

"The Master is in seclusion for his cultivation. He said not to disturb him unless it’s a matter of great importance. Young Lady, if there’s anything you need, just tell me and I’ll see to it."

"It is not I who needs to see Grandfather. It is this gentleman. He wishes to meet my grandfather," Li Qiushui said, gesturing to Lin Xuan beside her.

The Grand Steward was stunned. He looked at Lin Xuan in amazement. Who is this person?

"May I know how to address you, sir? What business do you have with the Master?" the Grand Steward asked, his tone puzzled but courteous.

Lin Xuan stood with his hands clasped behind his back and said coolly, "You are not qualified to ask me. Have your Manor Master come out and see me!"

Hearing this, the Grand Steward’s expression changed dramatically. What an arrogant kid!
