Eleanor felt like she knew Myna’s father. She felt he was too familiar but she didn’t seem to remember him. This odd feeling made her feel quite weird. This was the first time she met him in her life but how could she feel like this.

She saw he was talking with Oliver. He has sharp features, his eyes and his posture can make a person fall on his knees in front of him. And his eyes were perfect xerox of hers. Her heart says he was no harm to her. Yet he looked dangerous at the same time loving. He tried to talk with Oliver but he wasn’t paying much attention. She could see the pain and hurt in his eyes.

His eyes... They were green, not just green but emerald green just like her. They have stories, yet they were masked with coldness and with no expressions. It’s as if he was searching for love and care yet he made it seem like he didn’t care. She felt like she was seeing Cedric in his eyes. He behaves just like this green-eyed man.

She wondered what kind of stories he was hiding behind those masked eyes, but she knew they were deep.

His bodybuilt, he didn’t look like someone above forty years of age but some in his late twenties. She concluded that he led a healthy life, but lonely life.

His eyes were dead. His dead eyes pained her heart. She was surprised at her thoughts toward a stranger whom she never met or spoken with.

For some reason, she wanted to hug him and tell him, it was fine. But she can’t do this to a stranger. When he went on the stage and gave his wishes, she heard the crowd howl and cheer for him. Wow! Looks like he was someone famous! Eleanor could say that he was a successful businessman.

If he was then why did he make Myna live like a poor woman?

There must be something that was hidden from this world by this man.

But what could it be?

The life of a famous person was an open book to the public and the news reporters. Then why there was no news about him?

Was he that powerful to get a hold of the reporters?

What exactly was he?

After entering the business world, she learned about almost all businessmen in her country and her neighboring countries. But she never heard his name.

She turned her attention to Myna, she was genuinely happy with her father’s presence, but it seemed that Oliver wasn’t. She wondered why. Wasn’t he, his father too?

Turning her head towards Cedric, she found him being angry.

Woah... what’s this?

Oliver was angry, and Cedric was angry too.

Everything changed after Myna’s father came.

Just then Aiden and Martin came to her side. They went to talk with business partners but now they seemed to come running to her. What’s happening?

Eleanor can say something was wrong here. She couldn’t pinpoint where it was. But she could say that was related to Myna’s father.

This man created some chaos in the people who were around her.

Now she was curious about him.

Soon, the ceremony ended and the couple went to greet everyone.

Without her knowledge, her legs took her to this weird green-eyed man. For some reason, she felt panicked yet yearned to meet her. Her palms turned sweaty with every passing second.

What’s wrong with her?

She was sure that she wasn’t attracted to him in any scandalous way, yet she knew something in her heart was asking her to go towards him and talk to him.

Before she could call him or speak a word with him, Myna appeared behind her.

"Nora," Myna called her pulling her out of her trance.

"Aren’t you with Valene?" Eleanor asked with a frown.

"Yeah, he got a call and went to pick it up. So... I am here. I wanted to talk with dad but saw you here. Let me introduce him to you," Myna said.

Eleanor just smiled at her.

"Dad, this is my best friend Eleanor. And Nora, my dad, Anthony Throne Hallard.

"Dad, She helped me and supported me when I am bullied in school and at other times. She is an angel!" Myna said as she got excited. This was her first time introducing her bestie to her father. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Thank you, Love. For taking care of my daughter. I am indebted to you," Anthony said to Eleanor with a smile making her feel contented. Eleanor smiled at him showing all her teeth.

"Eleanor started her business recently. Didn’t you say you are looking for a partner in the hotel business, she is starting her brand in hotels? Maybe you both can work together," Myna said.

"Really? That would be great. Why don’t we exchange our contact information? We can meet and discuss it further," Anthony said.

"Why not?" Eleanor said with a smile.

Eleanor started checking her purse to find her name card but to her bad luck, it was not found. "Oops, I didn’t get my card. Please take my contact information from Myna," Eleanor said with a sheepish smile.

"Haha, fine. You are so cute," he said as he patted her head.

"I am! I am cute from the day I was born!" she announced heartily.

Just then Cedric came and placed his hand on her waist pulling her to him, making her collide to his chest.

"I know you are cute. Let’s stop spreading your cuteness here. We shall start leaving," Cedric said.

"Why? I want to stay here for a while," She pouted.

"Baby, did you forget today we have to get the changed diet from the doctor. You have Pica! Remember," he said looking at her lovingly.

"What? You have Pica? How come I don’t know?" Oliver’s voice rang.

"Even we got to know yesterday," Cedric said.

"Oh, what did the doctor say? If she has Pica, why is she here?" Oliver started raining questions.

"Maybe she should stay with Martin and Uncle Aiden. You are not taking good care of her," Nathaira said as she went and stood beside Oliver.

"What do you say, My Love?" she asked Oliver.

"She is right though," Martin’s voice rang.

"I will inform Jenna to clean her room," Aiden said.

Just then Valene, Mason, and Edward came and joined them. Everyone knew about Anthony except Myna and Eleanor. No one could say clear or stress-free with him around.

"I think it’s for sister-in-law to decide," Mason said supporting Cedric.

"Ugh! Guys, you are trying to separate a married couple," Edward said.

His eyes were stuck on Myna as he said. Myna felt awkward with Edward’s gaze. She walked and stood beside Valene telling him about her situation indirectly.

"Cedric, didn’t you say we need to go to the hospital to get the diet chart? We shall go," Eleanor said trying to flee the scene.

She doesn’t know why but everyone seemed to be against her and Cedric being together. She won’t be surprised if Martin kidnaps her and take her away with him.

Cedric nodded.

"Eleanor, you have to think clearly about being with him," Martin said.

"It’s her choice, why are you all adamant about breaking them up," Myna said feeling frustrated.

"When one is incapable of protecting the one they loved they have no right to be together with them. Yet again, it’s their choice. A third person is a nobody when two people are together," Anthony said for the first time in the group discussion, grabbing everyone’s attention.

Everyone was shocked at his words, even Eleanor. She wondered what’s the meaning behind his words but before she could ask Eleanor was dragged by angry Cedric from the site.
