Teacher by day, Farmer by passion-Chapter 159: Divine Library [1]
Leaving the immortal market behind, Ace stepped back into the quiet stillness of the stone house.
The air felt still, the place very quiet, a turn here and there and he realised Yuri was nowhere to be seen.
There was no gentle coughing from the corner. Nor any faint breathing beneath the blankets to indicate her presence, really.
Even Aunt Hong, who had came by to check on Yuri, was also absent.
The silence settled on him and boredom crept in.
Trying to shake the boredom and lazily flicked it through the air, summoning the familiar blue interface.
"It's been a while," he murmured, eyes narrowing as the system tab blinked open.

Ace narrowed his eyes. "Isn't that enough to be categorized as Peak Gold Rank?"
The most uptodat𝓮 n𝒐vels are published on freёnovelkiss.com.
[Host, 781 is where Peak Gold Rank starts.]
He let out a low hum. "Hmmm... okay. Show me the inventory page."
[Very well.]
The next tab popped up, displaying clean rows of information. Ace's eyes were immediately drawn to the top:
[System Tab: Inventory Highlights]
Red Immortal Beads: 32
Spirit Chickens: 1,400,300 units
Spirit Pigs: 640,025 units
Spirit Cows: 450,190 units
Gold Bubble Tea Fish: 210 units.
Ace raised a brow, quietly impressed.
"So… Spirit Chickens grew by 10% over the last few days. That's amazing," he whispered.
Even more surprising was the rise in Spirit Pig populations, despite daily consumption.
"Wow… We go through nearly hundreds of Spirit Pigs a day yet the number refuses to go down," he muttered, folding his arms.
His eyes swept the screen again.
Everything was multiplying steadily, even the livestock.
A slow grin crept onto his face. "The farm's evolving faster than I thought."
Then he remembered something as he asked.
"What about the buildings?"
[On it, Host.]
One by one, system reports began appearing in neat, glowing panels.

He flipped the pages once more.
Spirit Herb Shop
[Host, did you know this building actually existed inside the Divine Space?]
Ace stared blankly.
"…What wrong did I even do aside from being lazy!?"
He scratched his head, trying to salvage some pride.
"Ahem… I have visited the Spirit Herb Shop, you know."
[Once. Just once.] the system replied flatly.
"…Hmph. That's still a visit."
Just then...
Ding!
A new message flashed across the panel.
[System Alert]
Your follower, Akha, has successfully refined the Suppression Removal Pill requested by Lily.
Akha has advanced to Level 4 Alchemist — she is now officially an Alchemist Master.
As a result, Host is rewarded with a new building:
[New Building Unlocked: Divine Library]
A vast and ever-expanding collection of knowledge. Secrets of cultivation, crafting, farming, and more await within.
Warning:
Should Host prioritize the cultivation of power over crops, the Divine Library will be taken back by force.
Ace's jaw dropped as he nearly choked.
"…T-Taken back?! That's blackmail!"
Still… the excitement of unlocking a new building made his heart race.
With a flick of his fingers, he disappeared from where he stood.
Ace now stood in front of the newly unlocked Divine Library, hands on his hips, eyes wide with a mixture of awe and smugness.
The building loomed before him like a temple of wisdom, tall, ancient, and glowing faintly with soft blue runes.
Dozens of towering spires jutted into the sky, each shaped like an open book. The doors were already wide open, as if welcoming him in.
"Now this is more like it," he muttered, striding through the entrance with a confident smirk.
"Let's see what all the fuss is about. Knowledge is power, right?"
Inside, the space stretched beyond normal logic. Bookshelves spiraled upward into infinity, stacked with tomes that shimmered with divine light.
Floating scrolls danced gently in the air. A quiet hum filled the room, as if the very knowledge inside was alive.
Ace approached a nearby shelf and reached for a thick, leather-bound book titled:
"Advanced Alchemical Transmutation and Celestial Compression Theory."
He grinned. "Sounds fancy."
He grabbed the spine…. and tugged.
Nothing.
The book didn't budge.
"…Huh?" He furrowed his brow, gripped it tighter, and yanked again. "Don't play hard to get."
Still nothing.
He gave it a good two-handed pull. He even braced a foot against the shelf for leverage.
The book didn't move an inch. In fact, it seemed to pulse with quiet amusement, like it was mocking him.
"Okay," he growled, eyes twitching, "maybe this one's just stuck."
He moved on to another: "Spirit Farming Techniques of the Ancients."
Surely, that was more his speed.
He reached, grabbed, and—
"Eh?!"
Same result.
He tried five more books. Ten.
At some point, he even attempted to headbutt one open.
No success.
"…What kind of cursed library makes you unlock the books like hidden bosses?"
He spun on his heel and glared upward at the endless spiral of knowledge above.
"So I unlock a library… that won't even let me read?!"
Grumbling, Ace stormed out of the Divine Library, shoulders slumped and ego bruised.
Still he wasn't one to give up as he already came up with some ideas.
"Maybe Lily could open them. Or better yet… Shan Yifeng, hmm I'll let all of them have a try."
