San

San

Tang Yin's mind was running a thousand miles an hour as she poured her soul power into gaining more speed. Everything she had, without holding back, even the one she usually stored in her spirit bone, coursed through her body like a violent wave of energy as her body grew increasingly numb. Her heart pounded loud enough that she felt she could hear it.

Her stomach sank. "Boss!" she shouted back towards Dai Mubai, who was behind her, trying to keep up with her. Right now, she surpassed him with ease in spirit power, the worry for her brother driving her further than she would normally go. "We need to hurry!"

He looked at her, his expression tight.

Seeing Yin's eyes ripped wide open in panic and her already pale skin sickly ashen beneath the smudges and dirt of the day, she knew that Tang San was in danger—he was in mortal danger. Dai Mubai strained to go faster, trying to get more speed out of his tired limbs. They picked up even more speed with Rong Rong and Ning Feng's speed enhancements. The landscape was flying by as Oscar handed out more Sausages to all of them.

Eventually, Ning Rong Rong fell slightly back. Her expression tightened as she tried to keep up, and her stamina depleted. Zhao Wiki picked her up and headed her on his back, ordering her to rest.

Rong Rong, being the physically weakest of the group, was warned first.

The next was Oscar, who constantly consumed spirit power by handing sausages.

Rong Rong tapped Zhao Wujis back, so he let her off and switched to Oscar. Another hour in, Ma Hongjun and Ning Feng started to slow down. Ma Hongjun breathed harshly while Ning Feng began to limp slightly from the strain, putting less use on her left leg, which was starting to turn

suspiciously blueish through her torn pants.

Oscar conjured up healing sausages as Feng switched with him, and Zhu Zhuquing fell back to help Ma Hongjun by pulling him along the way.

Dai Mubai also fell back for Tang Yin and was next to her. "Put a weave around my waist. I'll pull you a part of the way."

She nodded. And did as he said with him, pulling her along. It was a long march until Tang Yin felt her brother closer. She didn't know how, but she

simply knew.

"San." She muttered as they all came to a halt. "San!" Tang San was sitting with his legs crossed on the floor. Their face was Pale, and crusted blood on his clothes. "Bro!" She hurried to him, her feet flying towards him when Zhao Wuji shouted. "Stop!"

She spotted an elderly man from the corner of her eye, his staff raised towards Tang San, ready to attack. Using purple demon eyes, she grunted and catapulted herself forward. Feeling Ning Feng's remote teleport move

her, she activated her breakers and then narrowed her eyes at the man.

Lock.

Her nose started bleeding as she felt the pressure inside her build up. It was to much, her spirit power wreaking havoc inside her body as her spirit bone burned like fire on her back. Then she raised her hands to encounter whatever was heading towards her brother.

"Please be lenient, Senior Dragon Duke." Zhao Wuji shouted, and Tang Yin didn't stop her attack. Still, she took a step back and drew her sword. Her purple eyes fixed on the Elderly Man.

Oscar ran to Tang San, handing him recovery sausages. At the same time, Feng and Rong Rong remained ready to stop her. The elderly woman they had already met before coming from the back. Her eyes fixed on Tang Yin's three spirit rings. Two yellow, one purple, taking in her appearance.

"You must be Senior Dragon Duke. It is my, Zhao Wujis, honor to meet you."

"Motionless Bright King. There is no need for you to stand Ceremony. Didn't you teach your teacher that no one bullies our Meng Family? Not only did you take the Phoenix Tail crest Serpent, but your discipline also killed my daughter's prey, the Man-faced demon spider? I demand an explanation!"

"Senior, I see your point; it is a misunderstanding. Furthermore, although I am these children's teacher. Tang San is not my disciple. His master is someone else."

Meng Shu, the dragon Duke, looked blank for a moment. Then he realized. If Tang San was already so powerful at his age, then wouldn't his master...

Zhao Wuji realized the line of thought from the dragon duke and jumped on the bandwagon.

"Senior dragon Duke, may we speak slightly apart from the others?"

He nodded and tapped the ground, and then they were moved away into the distance, making Tang Yin flinch. That speed. Zhao Wuji followed the dragon Duke.

Meng Shu's facial expression turned sour as he gazed at their group. His eyes trained on the Tang Twins. The conversation between the two was short and brief. Tang Yin's gaze fell on Yiran, the young teenager, with the old woman's gaze mustering her. The gaze was returned the same way as a calculating muster.

The Meng Shu returned and mustered first Tang San, then his gaze wandered to Tang Yin, resting for a moment on both of them. "You are the Grandmaster's disciples. I will let you go on his account today, but remember this will be the first and last time I will do so."

He turned and was about to leave.

"Grandpa," Meng Yiran looked at her grandfather, worried and puzzled. They have now robbed my spirit beasts twice. Will you really let this go so

quickly?"

"Grandpa."

Meng Shu looked somewhat helplessly at his granddaughter.

"Do you truly wish to insist? I neither wish nor can I take advantage of the young. Sometimes, it is better to leave things be."

Meng Yiran continued to look at him Obstinately.
