Tang San's Twin Sister-Chapter 84
The following morning, Jiang was gone.
He had vanished from their group.
Zhao Wuji raged as he noticed him gone, but under the constant stone-walling and explanations from The Tang Twins, Xiao Wu and Ning Feng, he eventually calmed. Especially when Tang San suddenly dropped it during the night. Jiang's clan had come to pick him up since he had apparently entered Shrek without their permission.
A Clan issue. It seemed that explained everything one needed to know.
After that, Zhao Wuji calmed down surprisingly fast and decided to let the issue rest. His Mood was still extremely down as they once again continued their travels. The forest was now considerably more alive. There were chirping birds, and beneath the morning sun, once they had packed up, the forest literally bloomed to life.
As if the happenings from the day before had never happened.
It improved everyone's Mood. They opted to rest upon midday, although they found a few spirit beasts of suitable age, none that suited Oscar. Eventually, a loud roar thundered through the forest, making their group stop in their tracks and come together closer.
"Zhu Zhuquing, take a look," Zhao Wuji ordered. Their most silent member nodded, making way and doubling her speed as she inspected what was uttering such a roar and making a commotion this loud. She returned briefly later.
"Some sort of flying Snake. With wings." She said, and Zhao Wuji grinned.
"A Phoenix tail crest serpent." He Zhao Wuji said, "Oscar, it appears our luck has turned. We will hunt it if it is of suitable age. It is a suitable Spirit Beast for you and often produces many exotic and valuable spirit skills."
"What color are the Wings?" The Tang twins asked simultaneously.
Zhu Zhuquing quieted momentarily, then answered, "Pale red, around eight or nine meters long." Tang San smiled.
"It's a thousand years old, just perfect." He looked at them. "It is one of the few strong non-venomous snakes. It strangles its victims to death." He explained, and the others nodded.
"You are a walking encyclopedia," Oscar noted, his eyes shining in excitement at hearing that. The others were also impressed. Regarding Tang San in a New light, Tang San smiled.
"That's all thanks to my teacher, and I do know quite a few people who know a lot more about Spirit beasts than me, " he told them, and Zhao Wuji let out a barking laugh.
"So there is a bunch of Mini-Grandmasters walking around." He said. "How surprising. Do you also happen to know how to best catch it?"
"It's a snake. Like most snakes, it considers birds its natural enemy. Fatty's Phoenix should offer enough of a suppression effect to help us. Then, we only need to catch it and not let it slip away. Even with suppression, it is quite fast, though." He explained, and behind them, Ning Feng summoned her spirit the same second Zhao Wuji said, "It's coming, attention."
They went all into combat position as Ning Feng nodded at Tang Yin, who suddenly was thrown upwards and ended up right teleported above the serpent and sent her to weave out, tangling the Snake in many, many thin spider web-like threats as it tried to wiggle free. From below, Tang Sans Ranks tightened around it, trying to catch the slippery Snake.
Tang Yin hissed when the Snake slipped through her weave as she fell towards the ground, twisting her body so her feet showed downwards as Ning Feng teleported her to the ground. She felt her feet hit with force, feathering the fall by rolling off the ground she pursued. From the corner of her eye, she spotted Zhu Zhuqings and Xiao Wu's efforts.
Faster
The thought had barely come to her mind when she felt support coming up from behind. She ripped her head around, surprised by the sudden increase in her personal speed, although she knew the reason. Ning Rong Rong. Her feet flew over the forest ground as she catapulter herself through the air upwards using her weave over and over again. Layering it before summoning her knuckles. With a grin, she teleported above the Snake, twisted her body, and thundered down her fist.
Her strike had little to no effect; it was too weak. She grunted and found herself flung backward by Dai Mubai, who grinned at her. "You are a control spirit master, not heavy combat, " he said with a grin, and she gritted her teeth before they were both teleported to the ground. "Sometimes, just pounding into something will not solve the problem."
"Maybe, but she does miracles for self-satisfaction." She said with a grin, watching how her weave had tangled the sneak's wings and how her brothers' ranks coiled tighter and tighter around it, poisoning it.
"Well, that I can't deny." Dai Mubai agreed with her, and they walked the rest of the way a touch slower until they reached their group.
