Tang San's Twin Sister-Chapter 209
Tang San's heart was in turmoil, and so was Ning Feng's, who slipped even deeper into the shadows gritting her teeth at the thought.
"Is it valuable?" Tang san asked. In fact, though, how could they not know what it was? As the Grandmaster's student who had spent years teaching them about all matters related to spirit masters.
"I don't know how your teacher instructed you. Truly." Hu Liena almost sounded anxious as she said that. "Yes, it is valuable. Generally speaking, only Title Douluo may have one appear as a ninth spirit ability, and even then, only one in ten manages to. It is a top-quality spirit ability. To have one's own domain means that one's own abilities are so refined that one can incorporate them in the truest sense; one's own abilities will be enhanced and strengthened while those of the opponent will be weakened." She hesitated a moment, then continued. "Also, it will grow with you. Your deathgod domain will grow along with your killing intent."
Tang San briefly mused on whether it was weird that he did, in fact, not want to possess a great killing intent per se, preferring not to kill, in consideration of his sister's values, which she so firmly believed in. How ironic it was almost.
"How do you know?" He asked her. "So clearly?"
Hu Luiena took a deep breath, taking a while to do so. "Because I know someone who possesses this domain, she told me about it, why else would I be in this horrid place?"
"Horrible, I see you have adapted well to it either way." He countered, and then saw the red light in Hu Lien's eyes grow stronger, and the faint sound of a blade being drawn from Ning Feng.
"adapting. I am only drinking this to calm my mood." She said. "Seeing as you have told me about the domain, let me tell you something in return. This place is poisonous, the entire city, in itself. The more of this you drink, the more you poison yourself. It is slow-acting and hidden in your blood. I have no idea what it will cause once you leave here. Only eight people have achieved this feat. But I am rather certain that if Hell Road might not kill you, this poison will."
The cup shattered on the ground, the scarlet liquid splattering and spreading on the carpet.
"Poison?" she gritted her teeth.
Tang San shrugged. "Believe it ot not. I studied it. It doesn't appear at first, but it's in the air. It agitates one's killing intent, and blood is needed to pacify it. As time passes, it becomes a habit, like a drug, it will cause you excitement and might even make you stronger, but the longer it goes on, the graver the side effects. You haven't got it in your system for long. But my advice is to stop drinking this." He pointed at the scarlet liquid. "If you continue, you might be more of a hindrance on Hell Road than an asset, and we would be rather inconvenienced."
He told her this not out of gratitude for the information about Hell Road, but because she had been candid with her—no intention to deceive him or Feng.
Hell Road was clearly not easy, so he told her. He took a breath and removed the mask he had been wearing, looking straight at her, nodding at Ning Feng, who stepped out from the shadows and did the same, a faint smile on her lips. Tang San took out a pill from his belt and handed it to Hu Liena. "My name is Tang Yin," He said, using his sister's name as an Alias, "Her name is Gu Feng."
He introduced Ning Feng with her teacher's Last name. "If you believe us, eat this, in about three days you will have some diarrhoea, but your body will be emptying itself of the poison. None of us has any intention of working with a time bomb on our side."
Hu Liena observed them. Standing next to each other. One was a Handsome man, and the other was a tall woman with gleaming amber eyes that seemed to stare right into one's soul. She took the pill and swallowed it without the slightest hesitation.
"As I believe you, I ask you to believe me." She said, turning and leaving, stopping at the door. "We both need to come out of here alive after all."
