Chapter 204: Emotionally tensed

Andria’s POV

"Aria, when did we get to this?" She asked, looking into my eyes for some sentiment.

Liara was my friend, and I loved her so much that I would do anything for her. Even when she started acting up, I found it hard to believe she could do what she did.

But as the days went by, she hurt me more. She attacked Allison and Becca, spread lies about me and the Alpha successors, even in the media and blogs.

"You made us get here," I replied to her coldly. "You used to be one of my best friends, if not the best. You were unique, a simple princess, I haven’t seen such, so I admired you. But recently, you changed, you became the exact opposite. I don’t even recognize who you are anymore."

"Just say it, Aria, you never wanted me to be with Jackson. I was your friend, and you should have been happy that Jackson chose me over Allison, who was your arch-rival or...enemy at the time.

But to my surprise, you took her side, telling me to break the mate bond. Do you know how hard that is? Aria, you feel the world revolves around you because you have the Alpha successors and your other mates wrapped around your fingers, but I’m not sorry to tell you this: you are delusional.

Jackson is mine, and I’m sorry he had to dump you," she said, turning to Allison. "So you had to go an extra mile, poisoning my friend against me, so you two can cook up all the lies to make my life in this school miserable.

Aria," she said, turning back to me. "I’ve never truly known who you are, even as your friend. But someday I’ll dig up that dirt you have been hiding, and I swear, you will be down on your knees begging me," she finished.

I should have been scared by that threat to my identity, but I didn’t care. If I decided to use my power, I could compel the whole of Ashwood to forget; I could manipulate everything to my favor, including Jackson and Liara.

But the chaos in me has to be contained; it wasn’t made to create destruction but to create balance, and bring ruin only to those who deserve it.

I chuckled under my breath, "Liara, I wanted and I still like the best for you. Jackson isn’t the best; he is, in fact, the worst.

I never took sides with Allison; you thought so because I was against your mate bond with Jackson, which I later found out was fake.

Jackson is a selfish rogue. When he gets what he wants from you, he will discard you. That’s what I feared, and that’s what I still fear. But you let his stupid lies get to you, poisoning the remai..."

"Shut up, Aria. My mate’s bond with Jackson isn’t fake; you haven’t proved it to me. You just keep spitting out lies to sugarcoat your interest in having all the male Alphas in Ashwood as your mate. Are you that attention-starved?"

"Liara, I wouldn’t trade words with you if you so desire it. Believe it or not, throw filthy accusations at me, the truth remains that your mate bond with Jackson is fake. He has used some black magic on you from the black sorcerers he hangs around with," I replied to her calmly.

"Where would they be taken to now?" Allison asked. "The detention room has been partly burned, and your office too."

"The block B detention room wasn’t affected; only the room Jackson was kept in was affected," Sir Kaelric replied slowly. All this while, he has been assessing the situation, refusing to say anything.

"They need to be searched," the headmistress suggested, "Allison search them, to find out if they are with anything that could cause any form of havoc again."

Allison walks to Felicia, placing her hands on both sides of Felicia’s body and running them down her sides, then nods, affirming that there was nothing there.

I looked over at Allison, not satisfied with what she did, "Allison, check again. Felicia seems to have learned how to hide and sneak things perfectly, almost like a ninja, so you have to be more careful when searching her. I advise you to recheck her."

Allison steps back to recheck her, as she runs her hands through Felicia’s body this time, and I watch with interest.

"Check the left pocket of her trousers properly," I said.

And just then, I saw the tension in Felicia’s eyes and Professor Garrich’s eyes. Could there be something in there? 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"Yes, this," Allison said, bringing out a tight little tube with a lighter and a dart, which I believed I saw in that vision that Liara had used in making the guards at the gate sleep.

I gasped, dumbfounded. I didn’t know that Liara would stoop so low as to work together with Tracy to pull down the school and everyone in it.

"You both work together now?" Sir Kaelric asked.

Felicia flipped her head from side to side in denial.

Allison also checked Liara, but found nothing on her.

"Guards," Sir Kaelric said to the guards who had finally woken up and were now close to us. "You were supposed to be alert and guard the school, and yet just students could manoeuvre all of you and get to someone in detention.

I can’t imagine what it could have been if it were the vampires or the demons; that means, all the students in Ashwood would be gone by now. Take these two, and keep them in detention block B. Be alert this time."

They dragged Felicia and Liara from my hands and Damon’s hands. Damon and I shared a look instantly; it felt almost magnetic, and I looked away.

This wasn’t the best time to start romanticizing my mate, or getting drenched by the heat. I suddenly became aware of my mates, my mind flashing back to the incident at Sir Kaelric’s office.

"Back to you, Professor Garrich," Sir Kaelric started, "I have every reason to suspect that you were part of this weird conspiracy."

I thought as much. He has been so protective of Tracy when she was still in Ashwood, and he seemed to grieve her departure.

Everything told me that there was a student-teacher relationship between them; their body language at least pointed towards that direction, but I didn’t have any concrete evidence to prove my point yet.
