At the intersection between two territories, the Immortal City flies from the border of the Central Region to the core, to the High Heaven Peak.

Then it flies a small circle, crossing one territory, and flying to the border region again. There it flies a large circle before reaching the next intersection, flying back, and so on.

A large circle takes a hundred years, the journey from the border to the core takes a hundred years, and the small circle takes fifty years.

In total, the Immortal City covers over 70% of four of the Central Region’s territories and covers 30% of the other territories."

Naturally, Fu Xian understood why the Immortal City acted like this.

In the Central Region, there were four extremely strong forces:

The Ning Dynasty in the southwest. Even though they say they go from the core to the south, they are leaning to the west and don’t cover the southern region fully. Their territory isn’t much less than what they claim, it’s just that South sounds mightier than Southwest.

In the Southeast there is the Myriad Kingdoms Alliance, which consists of countless kingdoms and a few empires. They are all of the human dao, but in these kingdoms and between them, there are many sects and other forces.

Taoist Temples occupy the Northeast, controlling the border between the cold regions and the eastern sea. It’s a region of clarity and emptiness.

Their territory is rather loose, with many vassal forces below them moving around freely.

While these four forces cover the four corners and have influence over their neighbouring territory.

Countless smaller forces fought in these territories.

They would mostly form around extremely talented people and then fall to become mediocre. One day a beast wave might destroy them, another day they might be destroyed by a competitor.

This free and uncontrolled territory wasn’t weak at all, but it was far from the stability of the four major forces.

It is only because these territories are so free that the Immortal City dares to cover 70% of their territory in their flight.

Only those in the core of the territory wouldn’t be covered.

The strongest of these forces always resided in the core of a territory.

But Fu Xian didn’t bother to learn their names.
