Taiyi Dao Fruit-Chapter 1201 - 8: Using Buddha Against Buddha, Advancing to 2nd Rank

Karma Tathagata appeared here in an unexpected way.

He emerged from Sun Wukong's thoughts, himself just a thought, a thought consciousness, yet after manifesting, he displayed a force and momentum opposing that of a Buddha, almost indistinguishable from his true form.

No, it should be said that he is indeed the true form.

Bodhi takes the thoughts of all beings as his form, as the Great Freedom Heaven, with the saying "When the Great Freedom Heaven is joyous, all beings are happy; when the Great Freedom Heaven is angry, all beings are troubled," and he resides within the hearts of beings.

Back then, Bodhi failed to thwart Shakyamuni Tathagata's path to enlightenment but managed to withdraw safely because Bodhi is the demon of all beings; to kill him, one must first kill all beings.

Such an existence could not even be killed by Shakyamuni Tathagata, who is known as the "Buddha," and yet he fell during the End of Dharma, showing the unfathomable nature of the End of Dharma. And the fact that Karma Tathagata can manifest through Sun Wukong's thoughts is even more incredible.

This is only because Karma Tathagata must completely defeat the True Spirit of Bodhi to achieve this step.

The True Spirit of Bodhi has already been defeated, and may have even been devoured by Karma Tathagata, an entity considered a minor by the Great Sun Tathagata, yet achieving a feat unmatched by anyone beneath Shakyamuni Tathagata before the End of Dharma.

Such a figure should not be looked at with the eyes that regard juniors of later generations.

As the Great Sun Tathagata conceived such thoughts, a dark thought had already invaded his mind and spirit, and the figure of Karma Tathagata perceived within the Buddha's Eye was about to materialize.

Such divine skills are simply unfathomably mysterious.

Yet, what kind of being is the Great Sun Tathagata? He symbolizes absolute truth in the teachings of the Esoteric Sect, also known as the "Unobstructed Vajra," with supreme Buddhist thoughts in his heart suppressing outer demons, hand seals changing into the Dharma Wheel Seal, and a golden Buddha Wheel manifesting behind him.

With the wheel turning and the heart unmoved, even if all things collapse, the Buddha heart remains unmoved.

Responding to Bodhi's movement with stillness, it appears as holding firm, but in reality, it's an excellent counter to Bodhi.

However, Karma Tathagata merely chuckled, his body like a phantom rising into the air, shape-shifting into an image of Great Light and Great Majesty, morphing into a golden Buddha Dharma Image.

Wearing a topknot, draped in delicate robes, his hands forming the Seal of the Kingdom of Dharma, his entire body like Yanfutang Purple Mojin Gold, emitting various colored lights illuminating the Ten Directions.

This is also the Great Sun Tathagata Dharma Image, the Dharma Image of the Great Sun Tathagata within the Womb Realm. The white jade Dharma Image currently manifested by the Great Sun Tathagata, however, is the Dharma Image in the Vajra Realm.

Karma Tathagata unexpectedly transformed into a similar yet opposite Great Sun Tathagata Dharma Image, seated on an eight-petaled lotus platform, forming seal techniques with his hands launched toward the Great Sun Tathagata.

The two Buddha Dharma Images clashed with seal techniques, one in motion, the other still, one a Buddha, the other a demon. The Great Sun Tathagata watched as Karma Tathagata changed his Dharma Image, yet did not feel any emotional stir, the heart of a Buddha suppressing devil thoughts, confronting the demonized Buddha in earnest.

Being a genuine article, could he perhaps be afraid of a counterfeit?

Yet the facts are often unexpected, as the seal techniques clashed, the Buddha Light collided, and it was a confrontation of heart and mind.

In that instant, the Buddha Light turned to substance, striking like a vajra, representing the confrontation of minds affecting the physical world, emitting sounds like clashing metals, like the booming of heavenly thunder, with billions of sparks bursting forth.

Immediately, the sundering Great Sun Buddha Light shattered and scattered as the Great Sun Tathagata horizontally shifted across the void.

A direct confrontation, with the Great Sun Tathagata Dharma Image engaging, one being real, the other fake, yet the genuine side surprisingly lost.

"If this seat were born in the same era as you, this position of Tathagata, this seat would not be unable to take it,"

A serene voice uttered such arrogant words, as Karma Tathagata's hands changed the seal techniques, ready to press the advantage.

But Shakyamuni Tathagata also moved at the same moment.

As the Great Sun Tathagata retreated, the Palm Buddha Country transformed, and Shakyamuni Tathagata flipped his palm, attempting to press everyone within the Palm Buddha Country to the ground, to experience the fate of the Great Sage Equalling Heaven.

When the Buddha Palm, akin to a continent, flipped, it seemed as if heaven and earth shifted, matter changed, and stars moved. A simple gesture, yet the scene was incomparably grand.

The Demon Buddha, having just repelled the Great Sun Tathagata, saw this and changed his Dharma Seal, his form also colliding accordingly.

Like a mountain, like a peak, standing towering to the sky.

The Great Sun Tathagata Dharma Image transformed into an enormously colossal Golden Buddha, with the constraints of the Palm Buddha Country being as if non-existent to him. In the blink of an eye, the colossal Golden Buddha had broken through the Buddha Country… or rather, the Palm Buddha Country was forcibly burst apart.

"Go!"

Jiang Li's figure flickered, instantly closing the distance to the monkey, grabbing him and horizontally crossing the void, his form like a dream or illusion, passing through the rippling aftermath of the exploded Buddha Country, escaping the Buddha Palm.

Among the starry sky, resounding Buddhist chanting arose, as Shakyamuni Tathagata's Buddha Eye pierced through, deeply analyzing the details perceived in the instant of confrontation, revealing the reality and unreality of Karma Tathagata.
