Taiyi Dao Fruit-Chapter 1199 - 7: Shakyamuni Tathagata, Karma Tathagata (2)
"Excellent, excellent."
The solemn voice of the Buddha echoed through the cosmos, and a massive golden hand lifted from below, passing through the mountains, ascending to the sky dome.
The four fingers, like heavenly pillars, slowly yet swiftly rose, and a colossal Dharma Manifestation appeared behind, just as Sun Wukong transformed into golden light and was about to collide with the "卍" mark on the chest of the manifestation.
Indestructible and indomitable, none but me reigns supreme.
As soon as this manifestation appeared, Sun Wukong shuddered and immediately halted his flight, exclaiming in surprise: "Old Tathagata!"
The familiar feeling awakened long-forgotten memories, and Sun Wukong instinctively called out this name.
In response, a face as vast as the stars slowly descended.
"Wukong, you are mischievous once again."
The grand voice reverberated both above and below, and compared to Great Sun Tathagata, this manifested form appeared even more majestic, with an unmatched presence akin to the master of ten thousand Buddhas, making his Qi Mechanism surpass that of Great Sun Tathagata.
He is the lord of Spirit Mountain's Great Leiyin Temple—the Tathagata Buddha.
If distinguished from Great Sun Tathagata, he can be called Shakyamuni Tathagata.
The Awakened who attained enlightenment in the mortal realm is Shakyamuni Tathagata's former self, known as Tathagata among many, including Randeng Tathagata, Great Sun Tathagata, Medicine Buddha, etc., but only this one is rightly called "Tathagata Buddha."
In terms of status, Shakyamuni Tathagata stands above Great Sun Tathagata, and in terms of power, the energy required to consolidate this towering Dharma Manifestation is far more than that of Great Sun Tathagata.
Three First Grade Dao Artifacts and three First Grade Dao Fruits are enough to tempt any being; since Great Sun Tathagata has arrived, Shakyamuni Tathagata would inevitably come.
However, trying to manifest like Great Sun Tathagata is no easy task; only the True Spirit existence of the two Tathagatas would first need to locate sufficient resources to create a vessel.
Therefore, even upon witnessing Great Sun Tathagata's Dharma Manifestation, Jiang Li and others only temporarily believed Great Sun Tathagata possessed one. Great Sun Tathagata is the source of Buddhist Dharma Manifestation, which confers some advantage in this realm; thus, it was not unexpected, but they never thought this one also regained a form, and such a vast one!
Shakyamuni Tathagata must have arrived alongside Great Sun Tathagata, or merely a difference of arrival times.
The Great Sun Tathagata appeared openly, while Shakyamuni Tathagata secretly mastered divine skills in concealment, and not until now did he act, with the Buddha Palm as vast as a continent, sealing the space from above and trapping everyone, as another hand stretched out, grasping towards the location of the Three Pure Ones.
Shakyamuni Tathagata did not drag his feet nor shared any joy of success with opponents, achieving the goal first, evoking a sense of stable confidence found in old-school powerhouses.
Meanwhile, within the Palm Buddha Country, Buddha Light manifested, Buddhist Chanting echoed, singing great vows, with morning bells and evening drums appearing, the monk cottages and precious trees erected, ready to transform heaven and earth, thoroughly isolating inside and outside.
Given the massive size of the Tathagata Dharma Form, acquiring the Three Pure Dao Artifacts might only take a few moments, but even breaking through the Palm Buddha Country couldn't be achieved in mere moments.
The situation seemed to foretold victory and defeat.
Jiang Li instantly sensed the situation, calculating internally, his eyes flickering with an ethereal hue, and the Nine Cauldrons within him began to manifest externally, Divine Thought penetrating into the Void...
At this very moment, a Divine Thought connected with Jiang Li, "Visualize the starry sky; it can alter the Three Pure Ones again."
The Divine Thought came unexpectedly, but its content stirred Jiang Li's heart and mind.
Countless thoughts raced through his mind, and Jiang Li decisively chose to visualize the myriad stars.
The scene within Three Pure Ones immediately transformed once more; the original mountains vanished, space tinged with the dimness of the starry sky, and one by one, great stars emerged around.
And the distance between Shakyamuni Tathagata and the Three Pure Ones instantly stretched millions of times, as if from inches away transforming to the far-off distance of the world's end. Previously visible Three Pure Dharma Bodies and Dao Artifacts now became three towering pillars of light reaching the heavens; although positions remained discernible, Three Pure Dharma Bodies became challenging to see due to the stretched distance.
A hint of surprise emerged on Shakyamuni Tathagata's immense face, and a grand voice rose, "Which Fellow Daoist is here? Why not show yourself for a meeting."
Three Pure Ones, also known as Daluo Heaven, encompasses All Things, both existing and nonexistent.
Capable of transforming into the void observed initially, or into the myriad phenomena of the world, whether boundless starry sky or vast ocean.
Yet such functions aren't known after the End of Dharma. Even before it, only a few beings comprehend, few can visit.
It seems Sun Monkey is unaware of the mysteries of Daluo Heaven.
Moreover, to facilitate Daluo Heaven's transformation, communication with it is required; among Daoist Sect Golden Immortals below Three Pure Ones, only a few have this privilege.
However, this qualified person is easy to locate.
While Shakyamuni Tathagata inquires, Buddha's Eye surveys and locks onto Jiang Li within the Palm Buddha Country, while Great Sun Tathagata transforms into a celestial sun, merging with the Buddha Country's might, radiating Buddha Light.
The two Tathagatas see that the Three Pure Dao Artifacts cannot be obtained for the moment, intending to defeat the enemy first, at least...
The Great Sun descends upon a certain monkey.
Just as one picks the softest fruit, the softest target now is undoubtedly a certain monkey.
Separated from Jiang Li, and indeed a Buddhist Victorious Battle Buddha, now within the Palm Buddha Country, flags of defeat are planted all around, from comparing strength or the inevitability of cause and effect, putting Sun Wukong completely at a disadvantage.
