System Awakening Era: I Have 10x Skill Effects-Chapter 7: In The City Full of Destruction
The motorcycle had been prepared. Aamon left the city troop headquarters, carrying all the equipment he needed in his inventory.
No one knew that Aamon had left early in the morning. Most of the elite squad members were still fast asleep. For him, it didn’t matter whether they knew about his departure or not.
What mattered most was that they continued working together to guard that place as best as they could, while trying to stabilize the city from the threat of monsters.
It would be difficult, but not impossible. Aamon believed they would eventually be able to drive those hordes of monsters away from the city within the next few years.
Aamon rode his motorcycle along a road near the coastal area. By riding a motorcycle, at least he could reach that city within two hours.
Halfway through the journey, his motorcycle came to a stop when two overturned cars blocked the road. Aamon scanned the surroundings and noticed four monsters near his location.
Two centipede monsters, one mosquito monster, and one ant monster.
He got off his motorcycle and summoned his sword in his right hand.
"It seems impossible for me to continue this journey without fighting you."
One of the centipede monsters screeched. It crawled down from the wall of a building onto the road, lunging toward Aamon.
Aamon gripped his sword tightly with both hands, ready to use his new skill.
[Sword Skill: 1000 Sword Movement]
A blue light surrounded Aamon’s body, and a blue dome-like domain appeared around him where the centipede monster’s movements slowed down.
Now Aamon understood the purpose of that skill.
He dashed forward, the center of the skill’s domain positioned on him.
He swung his sword sideways, slashing the centipede’s body from the side and cutting off several of its legs.
Aamon then jumped and sliced the monster’s upper body.
The centipede monster began reacting to the pain.
However, Aamon had no intention of slowing down his assault.
He kept attacking the centipede until the tenth strike. The moment the tenth strike landed, blue sparks appeared in the gaps on the centipede’s body where it had been attacked before.
The gaps glowed blue and burst into a small explosion, injuring the centipede monster and killing it instantly.
Aamon ran back to his position, watching the centipede monster die miserably with the floor soaked in pools of green blood.
He stretched out his hand, catching the drop item that the monster had released.

The drop panel appeared with no specific item, still the same type of drop items.
Aamon’s attention shifted forward again. One monster had been defeated, leaving three more.
He moved forward, attacking with his skill while avoiding their physical attacks.
Fortunately for Aamon, his new sword increased the damage he dealt to every monster.
It made his basic attacks painful, and his skill attacks extremely painful.
Just by relying on his basic attacks, Aamon managed to kill the mosquito monster and the ant monster.

Three dead, one remaining.
Aamon raised his sword and aimed his attack forward. However, thousands of magic arrows suddenly appeared from the sky and struck the centipede from above.
He looked up. A survivor with a bow had intervened in Aamon’s battle.
Aamon couldn’t let him take the monster’s last hit.
His hand gripped the sword tightly. When the monster’s HP reached the critical red bar, Aamon thrust his sword forward while activating one of his skills.
[Sword Skill: First Thrust]
Aamon’s thrust pierced the monster’s body, injuring it and triggering a critical hit.
The young man smiled. He was the one who secured the monster’s last hit.

His head lifted again, looking toward the sky. The person had already disappeared from the edge of the rooftop and was no longer visible.
"Annoying!"
Aamon stored his sword again, then drove off in a different direction even though the road had been blocked.
There were many roads leading to that city, and Aamon wasn’t afraid of anything.
An hour later, Aamon continued riding his motorcycle into the city.
The condition of the city was the same as before: chaotic, filled with blood, and silent.
His head kept turning toward the surrounding area, making sure whether any survivors had managed to endure the Trial Planet disaster.
"Someone please help me!"
Aamon stopped his motorcycle, seeing a 28-year-old woman running while carrying someone on her back as she was chased by a spider monster. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
The young man extended his hand forward, summoning his Iron Essence Sword.
The woman’s attention shifted to Aamon as she shouted for help.
[Sword Skill: 1000 Sword Movement]
The skill’s domain appeared, slowing down all movements around him. Aamon ran forward past the woman, then cut off the spider monster’s legs and attacked the monster at its vital points.
Ten strikes landed on the monster. Aamon immediately leaped far back when a small explosion occurred on the wounds of the monster’s body.
The small explosion triggered a larger one.
In less than five minutes, Aamon managed to kill the spider monster and catch its drop item.

Aamon stored his sword, then turned around, specifically toward the woman who had taken shelter behind his back.
"Are you alright?" Aamon asked.
"I’m fine."
"Lucy!"
The woman named Lucy turned around. Several survivors with their weapons had arrived. Their attention immediately tensed when they saw a strange man standing near Lucy.
"You! Are you trying to kill her? You must be from Black Shade!" one of them shouted.
"Black Shade? I don’t even know what that is."
Lucy shook her head, stepping in to stop them.
"I don’t think he is. He arrived riding that motorcycle. That’s a military motorcycle, and his clothes also look like army gear."
"Black Shade is not the Army!" Lucy said firmly.
"Oh, you’re a soldier?" they asked.
Aamon fell silent for a moment while observing them.
If they asked whether he was a soldier, Robert had indeed appointed him as an elite member and given him an investigation mission regarding this disaster.
But Aamon didn’t really feel like a soldier. To become a soldier, he should at least go through several formal procedures.
"Yes," Aamon answered.
"I see. Are you going to the city troop headquarters?" one of them asked.
"I’m not sure."
BLAST!
An explosion occurred behind them.
Aamon moved and peeked through the gap in the street, witnessing a group of people dressed entirely in black.
"Who are they?"
"That’s Black Shade, our group’s rival," Lucy said.
"Rival? What are you competing for?"
"Many things. Territory, food, medicine, even survivors."
I didn’t expect groups like this to form so quickly.
"We can’t let survivors join them. They’re known for violence," Lucy answered.
One of the men stood up and told them to retreat.
"There are more people from Black Shade. We need to fall back."
"You, soldier, come with us. If you get captured by them, even I can’t guarantee your safety," said the man—Lucy’s father, Jonas.
Aamon nodded firmly, "Alright. Thank you."
