Chapter 89 -89: My Red Packet for You
Fortunately, it was only the ash from a firecracker that had fallen into her eyes, and she was fine after the doctor cleaned them.
“That’s great, I’m not blind!” When she came out of the hospital, Shen Zhaozhao was back to her lively self.

“Let’s go, we’re going home to settle the score with that brat.”
When they arrived home, however, they found the neighbor’s door tightly closed, clearly afraid that the Shen Family would come knocking.
Shen Zhaozhao banged on the door from the outside for a long time to no avail, but she could faintly hear the crying of the troublesome child.
It seems this year won’t be too good for the neighbors either.
...
On the first day of the Lunar New Year, Shen Zhaozhao was dragged out of bed early in the morning by Zhaozhao’s mother, who wanted her to go and greet the grandparents and neighbors for the New Year.
After changing into new clothes and greeting her grandparents, Shen Zhaozhao headed straight to the Sheng Family’s home.
Just as she reached the Sheng Family’s doorstep, she saw Sheng Chuyi coming out.
Sheng Chuyi was wearing a bright red sweater with black trousers and white shoes, looking festive and attractive.
Upon seeing him, Shen Zhaozhao immediately smiled and hurried over to him.
Shen Zhaozhao also looked very nice today, in a bright red jacket paired with a white scarf, full of New Year spirit.
Zhaozhao’s mother had even carefully styled her hair into a “Princess” hairstyle.
Seeing her approach, a smile spread across Sheng Chuyi’s face as he cautioned, “Slow down when you run!”
Shen Zhaozhao ran up to him, out of breath, and asked with a smile, “Yiyi, were you coming to find me?”
“Yeah!”
“What a coincidence, I also thought of coming to find you first, but I beat you to it!” Shen Zhaozhao said joyfully, her face full of pride for winning against him.
“Let’s go, I’ll take you to meet Grandpa, Grandma, and Great-Grandma,” Sheng Chuyi turned around, leading her to greet the Sheng Family’s elders for the New Year.
“Look at these two kids, they are just like the children in the New Year paintings.” Seeing the two of them walk in together, the Sheng Family was dazzled.
Both children were very good-looking; standing together, they seemed as if they had stepped right out of a painting.
Furthermore, they were their own children, so the family thought they looked even more appealing the more they looked at them.
Shen Zhaozhao knelt down and kowtowed to the three elders obediently, saying a bunch of auspicious phrases, which made the old folks so happy that they couldn’t stop smiling, not knowing what to do with themselves from joy.
Then she also greeted the rest of the Sheng Family one by one, and by the end of it, she had collected a pile of red envelopes.
Clutching her red envelopes, Shen Zhaozhao’s smile was so wide it almost reached the sky.
Sheng Chuyi watched her and asked, “You’re very happy?”
Shen Zhaozhao grinned, nodding her head like a pecking chicken: “Of course I’m happy with the red envelopes.”
“Here, take this.” Sheng Chuyi then extended his red envelope, which he had just received, toward her.
“You want to give me your red envelope?” Shen Zhaozhao was taken aback, the surprise was too sudden.
Sheng Chuyi replied, “Yeah, I’m giving you my red envelope too, hoping your happiness lasts a bit longer.”
“Yiyi, you’re so kind!” Shen Zhaozhao couldn’t help but smile, “But I can’t take it. The red envelope is a blessing from an elder, you should keep it yourself. Although, I’d be really happy to receive a red envelope, I’d rather Yiyi be healthy and live a long life.”
Hearing this, Sheng Chuyi took back the red envelope and said, “Alright, I’ll keep it for now, but if there’s something you want, tell me and I’ll buy it for you.”
“Okay!” Shen Zhaozhao this time did not refuse.
Watching the two children getting along so well, the adults couldn’t help but reveal knowing smiles on their faces.
