Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 354: Night Market
"Maybe yes, maybe no." Moira Young stretched lazily. "Even if there was, it’s all in the past. The most important thing is the present and the future."
She turned her head sincerely, "Thank you, Heath Sterling, this sunrise is beautiful."
In this season of quietness, it brought a different kind of hope.
Moira Young suddenly felt energized, even the subtle worry between her brows dissipated a lot.
Heath Sterling fell into deep thought.
Focusing on the future and leaving the past behind?
Does that mean once she’s in a better mood, he can also muster the courage to pursue her?
Not long after, Heath Sterling figured it out and suddenly became excited, nonchalantly brushing off the grass in his hands, "We don’t need to say thank you between us, that’s too formal."
"Alright, let’s go back and eat. Can’t let the big star go hungry." His tone was teasing, yet he sincerely packed up to wait for her.
Moira Young chuckled, and they sat in the cable car descending the mountain, one after the other.
Descending was faster than ascending, and they coincidentally returned in time for breakfast. Heath Sterling led Moira Young to the restaurant on the second floor, where conversations from the nearby table reached their ears just after ordering.
"Hey, is there a fireworks festival tonight? So excited!"
"Yeah, it’s a complete surprise. I’m definitely going to take lots of photos to show off."
Upon hearing this, Heath Sterling slyly suppressed his smiling lips.
Since he planned for the fireworks festival, he couldn’t be vague. The word should spread, otherwise, it would seem too forced if only the two of them knew.
And he certainly didn’t want Moira Young to misunderstand.
Heath Sterling glanced again at the person opposite him, who was wearing a hat and large sunglasses, revealing only her delicate chin, elegantly sipping her porridge.
Just watching her had become a form of enjoyment.
Heath Sterling unconsciously folded his hands on the table, while the girls at the next table were already excitedly moving on to another topic.
"Have you seen the latest news? My idol is starring in a new drama."
"Moira!!! It’s been so long since I’ve seen her work. Recently she got terribly criticized because of Annie’s incident, it’s heartbreaking, sob sob sob..."
"Exactly, Annie was so cruel, my idol has been under so much pressure."
Their discussion was oblivious to the fact that the person they were talking about was less than five meters away.
Heath Sterling stifled laughter, repeatedly glancing at Moira Young and whispered mysteriously, "Isn’t it surprising, wasn’t it unexpected?"
Moira Young: "..."
Maybe he has a problem with his eyes.
However, having fans standing up for her like this felt really good.
Plus, it seems the company is already taking steps for her comeback.
After cleaning her lips, Moira Young silently noted their table number and later paid their bill as well.
"Truly pampering the fans." Heath Sterling watched intently before making a matter-of-fact conclusion.
Moira Young blinked, mercilessly pushed him away, looking like a heartbreaker.
Where others couldn’t see, her expression dimmed slightly.
Back then, it was Julian Sinclair who helped handle the matter with Annie. Her life seemed to be filled with his traces, hard to erase.
But why should she always remember his good? If it can’t be erased, then it should be canceled out!
Moira Young’s eyes turned cold as she made up her mind. Heath Sterling feigned being hurt, playing along enthusiastically.
The day passed quickly, and by nightfall, nearly the entire hotel was bustling and immersed in the lively atmosphere.
Heath Sterling had long since pulled Moira Young to choose the best spot, gesturing amidst the noise. As his last finger curled down, the night sky exploded with colorful fireworks, occupying all visible space.
Amidst the sound of fireworks bursting, Heath Sterling shouted, "How is it? Beautiful, right? Afterwards, there’s a night market."
"Huh?" Moira Young vaguely heard a few words but couldn’t piece them together.
She leaned closer to him, "What did you say? Say it again."
Seeing Moira Young’s confused expression, Heath Sterling realized she hadn’t heard him and immediately gestured to watch the fireworks.
This carefully planned fireworks festival that he had put so much thought into shouldn’t be wasted on trivial matters.
After the fireworks ended, Moira Young’s eyes had brightened; Heath Sterling pointed to the brightly lit street not far away, saying again, "There’s a night market there. Want to buy some trinkets?"
Moira Young nodded vigorously, her clear eyes reflecting only Heath Sterling’s figure.
Heath Sterling’s heartbeat skipped a beat, filled with a hidden joy.
Moira Young, however, didn’t notice his unusual demeanor and raised her voice, "Didn’t you say we’re going to the night market? Why hasn’t there been any movement? Soon it’ll be crowded."
She looked around and saw the crowd had partially dispersed.
While a night market is better with crowds, too many people can block the path.
Moira Young, quite experienced, continued urging, "Let’s go, let’s go."
She seemed to return to her old self.
Heath Sterling smiled more broadly, echoing, "No problem."
Moira Young led the way into the night market, browsing the stalls.
Heath Sterling affectionately followed behind, casually picking up a cat-shaped mask and placing it on Moira Young’s face, laughing, "Moira, don’t you think this cat resembles you, all adorably cute."
Adorably cute?
Is cuteness what she needs now? She craves assertiveness!
Moira Young dissatisfiedly ripped off the mask and unwillingly picked up a little pig-shaped mask to cover his face, finally satisfied, "Same to you, you and this mask are equally matching, almost gallant and charming."
Before she could finish, she couldn’t help but squint her eyes joyfully and laugh.
Heath Sterling cooperatively coughed, spoofing, "I am the heavenly marshal..."
"Stop it." Moira Young rolled her eyes at him, "The marshal isn’t as skinny as you."
Heath Sterling argued, "Can’t the heavenly marshal lose weight?"
Moira Young: "..."
She was left speechless.
With her good temper, Moira Young decided to bypass this dead-end, while Heath Sterling still seemed to crave more, his attractive phoenix eyes squinted in distress.
After browsing the entire night market, they returned with both hands full of items.
Over the next few days, Heath Sterling pulled out all the stops, virtually taking Moira Young everywhere fun.
Unfortunately, aside from the night at the night market when Moira Young seemed to return to her old self, the rest of the time she remained consistently aloof and distant, as if she had built a high wall.
Heath Sterling sighed, flipping the beggar’s chicken in his hand, just about to try again when Moira Young’s phone suddenly rang.
"Who is it?" Heath Sterling asked.
Moira Young glanced at the name, quickly answered, put on speaker, and Joe’s excited voice came through, "Moira sis, Moira sis, are you there, are you there?"
