Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 339: Resistance
Hearing the latter half of Father Sinclair’s words, Zayne Sinclair felt all the blood rush to his head, and he was about to lose control. What did he mean by looking down on nobodies? Who was a nobody? Him, Zayne Sinclair?
Father Sinclair shifted his gaze to Zayne Sinclair, frowned, and said, "Didn’t I tell you to handle that woman’s matter? Can’t even handle such a small task? And now you’re saying these things deliberately? Truly more destructive than constructive!" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Zayne Sinclair felt Father Sinclair was truly biased. Despite Julian Sinclair being hospitalized from anger, Father Sinclair still defended him in front of these uncles, saying he was more destructive than constructive? Zayne Sinclair wanted to catch someone and beat them up, but unfortunately, the environment didn’t allow it.
He lowered his eyes, hiding the coldness within, and when he looked up again, he already wore a smile. He even said somewhat apologetically, "Yes, Uncle, this indeed was my failure."
Father Sinclair probably heard the satisfactory response from Zayne Sinclair and snorted lightly, not looking at him further.
Father Sinclair turned his gaze back to the gathered uncles and said, "Just a few billion lost; remember how much wealth Julian Sinclair has created for the Sinclair Group, how many deals he has secured? Do you recall the multi-billion-dollar deals he signed as a teenager?" Father Sinclair’s tone carried a hint of pride.
The uncles exchanged looks at Father Sinclair’s words. He did have a point, and perhaps they were indeed making much ado about nothing, considering the wealth Julian Sinclair had created for the Sinclair Group since taking over.
So this group decided they should reconsider their stance. Having received this answer, they remembered Father Sinclair had just woken up and began to feign concern for his health.
Zayne Sinclair saw this scene and suddenly felt it was meaningless. He smiled and said, "Uncles, I’ll leave you now, as I have some things to attend to. I’ll visit again some other day."
Father Sinclair waved dismissively, signaling Zayne Sinclair to leave. As Zayne looked around at the room full of people, none even glanced at him, rekindling the fire in his heart, but he left the ward with a calm face.
Zayne Sinclair had just reached the elevator when he ran into Julian Sinclair. Looking at Julian, Zayne’s heart was full of resentment and unwillingness.
In Zayne’s eyes, Julian was not as capable as Father Sinclair claimed. The reason Father Sinclair persuaded the uncles was just because he favored his own son.
Zayne sneered, reaching out to stop Julian and spoke with full malice, "Julian Sinclair, you just wait, there will be things you can’t control, and I will take the heir’s position for sure!"
Julian’s expression was indifferent. After letting Zayne finish speaking harshly, he glanced at him with ease and said, "Oh, I understand."
Zayne’s mouth twitched as he watched Julian calmly sidestep his arm and walk straight to the ward. Zayne gritted his teeth, his eyes fierce. Julian Sinclair, let’s see how long you can be pleased with yourself!
Julian certainly knew Zayne was causing trouble in front of the uncles, but Julian remained calm because, in his eyes, Zayne’s actions couldn’t stir up much trouble and were not worth paying attention to.
He gave a contemptuous smile, then pushed open the door and entered Father Sinclair’s ward.
The uncles had just left the room. Father Sinclair turned his head, saw it was Julian, and remembered he brought a few of his clothes home to the hospital.
Seeing Julian with a large bag in hand, Father Sinclair’s once-cold heart began to slightly soften. After all, he was his biological son, and he didn’t want to push Julian to a dead end. He just wanted him to remember that the career was the most important.
Julian took the clothes out one by one and hung them in the wardrobe, saying, "See if anything is missing. I’ll buy and bring it over."
Probably because Julian’s attitude was so different than usual, Father Sinclair felt a bit uneasy, and awkwardly said, "No need, if anything’s missing, let the caregiver buy it. You don’t need to worry about this."
Julian nodded, and Father Sinclair opened his mouth, unable to hold back, "Julian, consider what I said earlier. Love is the least valuable thing in the world; that girl named Moira is not worthy of you at all..."
Julian had just sat down when he heard Father Sinclair’s preachy voice. He frowned with irritation and said loudly, "Enough, I’m not here to listen to all this. About Moira and me, I know what I’m doing. Mind your own business."
Before Father Sinclair could react, Julian continued, "Forget it. I’ll just leave, so you won’t be bothered by seeing me here." With that, Julian left the ward without looking back.
Julian walked straight out of the hospital and lit a cigarette in a corner, his mind full of irritation. He just wanted to be with Moira Young, why did everyone act as if it were a grave crime? Does being with Moira really mean he can’t carry the Sinclair Group?
Meanwhile, back home, Moira Young wasn’t troubled by any of this. She currently has few engagements, so she leisurely visits the stationery store, occasionally runs into some little fans, and is happy to take pictures or sign autographs. Then she returns to her villa, enjoying life.
However, Moira did miss Julian a little, wondering when he would return, but she didn’t contact him much, understanding that dealing with the difficult Sinclair family relatives abroad was tiring for Julian.
Moira pursed her lips, and just as she was thinking about this, Mrs. Miller told her Aiden Webb was here. Moira was a bit puzzled—why was Aiden visiting so frequently lately? Despite her curiosity, Moira asked Mrs. Miller to let Aiden in immediately; she didn’t want tomorrow’s headlines to feature gossip about her and Aiden.
After Aiden sat on the sofa, Moira asked the butler to make some tea, then smiled and asked, "What brings you here, Aiden?"
The DNA results should be coming out soon. Though he hadn’t been notified yet, Aiden was almost ninety percent sure Moira was his biological sister. But she was unusually resistant to the topic of her birth parents, leaving him no chance to tell Moira the truth.
Aiden pursed his lips, chose his words carefully, and decided to speak directly, "I mentioned these matters before, just wanted to ask about your birth parents."
Moira frowned, immediately recalling the argument with Julian about this topic, which had left a thoroughly unpleasant impression on her. Instinctively, she resisted the conversation.
