Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 300: Slap in the Face
Vivi leisurely crossed her arms, ready to watch the drama unfold.
She saw Moira Young slowly sit up from the lounge chair and wave to Adrian Grant, who was standing nearby: "Adrian, get me a drink."
Vivi sneered with a laugh, "Moira Young, haven’t you figured out the situation? How can you shamelessly call Adrian ’brother’ now?"
Moira didn’t even bother to glance at her, extending her small hand towards Adrian.
Vivi was expecting Moira to embarrass herself, but amazingly, Adrian actually opened a drink, poured it into a glass, even put a straw in, and handed it to Moira.
"Little Moira, here you go." Adrian smiled indulgently.
"Thank you, Adrian." Moira took the drink, satisfied, and sipped it, continuing to lounge in the chair while enjoying the sea breeze.
Vivi’s eyes widened in disbelief, her pupils contracted violently: "Young Master Grant, you know perfectly well how dirty Moira Young is, yet you still..."
"You dare say one more word, and I’ll tear your mouth apart?" Adrian was never known for his good temper; initially, he hadn’t wanted to argue with a woman like Vivi, so as not to lower his status.
But now that Vivi was calling Moira dirty, nobody could tolerate it, let alone Adrian, who had watched Moira grow up.
"Young Master Grant, I’m just trying to help you!" Vivi’s face showed a look of disbelief, thinking Adrian must be out of his mind.
"Scram!" Adrian’s expression turned cold, not wanting to listen to Vivi’s nonsense anymore.
Vivi took a deep breath, struggling to hold back her frustration, and steadied her voice to speak gently: "Young Master Grant, you really should consider carefully what kind of person Moira Young is. You need to be aware of it."
"Who I am is none of your concern, even if I really am as you say, Adrian still likes me," Moira finally couldn’t help but retort after listening for so long.
Vivi was about to mock her when Adrian nodded with a smile: "Little Moira is right, no matter what kind of person you are, Adrian likes you just the same."
"This is insane!" Vivi never expected Adrian to be so stubborn, she smirked, "Young Master Grant, I never thought you’d have such peculiar taste, liking this tramp."
Before the words were finished, a loud slap jolted Moira’s eardrums, and she looked up to see Vivi stunned in place.
"Julian Sinclair." Seeing Julian’s face dark as soot, Vivi began to stammer.
"Who do you think you are to criticize my Moira?" Julian glared at Vivi with a chilling gaze that made her shiver all over.
Moira watched this without the slightest emotional turmoil, lazily sipping her drink and adjusting her position comfortably, enjoying the spectacle.
Vivi clutched her face, her eyes filled with terror: "What do you mean, ’your Moira’?"
Julian didn’t have the patience to explain to Vivi; he only knew that anyone who hurt Moira should die.
He himself couldn’t bear to lift even a finger against his little princess; how could he allow others to insult or bully her?
It took Vivi a while to realize what Julian’s words meant, her lips trembled, eyes full of disbelief: "This... This can’t be; how could Moira Young possibly have anything to do with you."
It couldn’t be, absolutely not.
Even if Moira was connected to the Sinclair Group, that person could not possibly be Julian.
But the facts were there, leaving her no choice but to believe.
Vivi was so consumed by jealousy she was about to go mad, muttering constantly: "This can’t be. I don’t believe it’s true; what is Moira Young anyway? She must have used some underhanded means to seduce you, Julian. That’s it, isn’t it?"
No sooner had she spoken than Julian dealt another slap without hesitation, his fierce gaze like a devil emerging from hell: "Utter one more word against Moira, and I’ll make you wish for death."
Vivi never imagined Moira Young was so capable, able to have ties to Adrian Grant and even Julian Sinclair.
She laughed bitterly, wondering what was so great about Moira Young that two exceptional men were devoted to her.
The fire of jealousy almost consumed her, forgetting entirely who she was facing, just wanting to vent her fury and dissatisfaction.
"Moira Young, you shameless little vixen, don’t think that rising through seduction makes you anything special. Eventually, they’ll kick you out, and your fate will be worse than mine."
At this thought, Vivi felt much better, her mind conjuring images of Moira being abused and bullied, making her laugh out loud.
Just then, as Julian was about to kick onwards, Adrian stopped him, gesturing him to look aside.
Julian followed Adrian’s gaze to see Boss Warren, with several older men in tow, heading towards them.
Not only did they notice, but Vivi did too.
Moira had seen just how shameless Vivi was, but never imagined she could reach such a level.
As Boss Warren approached without speaking, Vivi climbed up from the ground and threw herself into his arms, whining in a sickly sweet voice: "Mr. Warren, someone’s bullying me, you must stand up for me."
Vivi had been performing well lately, and Boss Warren had treated her more gently. Seeing her in such a pitiful state, he immediately embraced her with concern: "Who? I want to see who’s bold enough to bully my woman and whether I won’t break his legs."
"Boss Warren, what big words you have." Adrian sipped champagne, letting out a snicker.
Boss Warren heard the mocking voice and was about to lash out but changed his expression swiftly upon seeing Adrian’s face: "Young Master Grant."
"Oh, you recognize me?" Adrian nodded knowingly and asked in confusion, "Since you recognize me, surely you can’t fail to recognize the man beside you?"
After Adrian’s words, Boss Warren turned to look and was nearly scared out of his wits: "Julian Sinclair, why are you here too?"
"What? You guys can vacation here, and we can’t?" Adrian glanced discreetly at Vivi, showing disdain, "Is this your woman?"
Boss Warren wasn’t stupid; he had a rough idea of what had happened before. As Adrian brought up Vivi, he promptly pushed her aside, quickly distancing himself: "How could that be? She’s just a dog I keep, I have no idea how she offended you two."
"If she offended just the two of us, we might let it slide, but your mutt doesn’t listen and bit someone she shouldn’t have."
With that, Adrian’s gaze quietly fell on Moira beside him, daring to bully Julian’s most treasured darling, Vivi was truly digging her own grave.
