Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 252: Sabotage
Moira Young returned to her room, took a shower, and crawled into bed to rest. She must have been too exhausted because she slept until broad daylight.
As the leading actress, each day was filled with heavy scenes. Though very tired, she still persevered with effort.
"Moira, I bought breakfast, please eat quickly. Filming starts in two hours, and we’ll be running late if you don’t hurry."
Joe anxiously prepared a water cup, a blanket, and various items for Moira Young while urging her to eat.
Being new to the scene, Moira thought being late wouldn’t be good. She quickly ate a few bites and asked Joe to take the breakfast to the set, planning to eat when she had some free time.
Fortunately, it was a modern drama, and Moira Young had a good base, hardly needing heavy makeup to look stunningly beautiful.
When she finished her makeup and arrived on set, there was still half an hour before filming started.
"Luckily, I made it in time." Moira Young let out a sigh of relief, intending to have breakfast and then familiarize herself with the script again.
Unexpectedly, she heard someone calling her name from afar. She looked up and saw many girls around her age standing outside the railing, each holding flowers and signs, looking excited.
"What’s this?" Moira Young asked Joe, puzzled.
Joe secretly smiled, "Looks like our Moira is really popular. These must be fans here to visit the set."
"My fans?" Moira Young blinked, somewhat incredulous. "Are all these people here to see me?"
"Who else would they be here to see?" Joe once again smiled widely and said to Moira Young, "Moira, I’ll tell the director and let them in."
Saying this, she happily ran off before Moira could speak.
With the director’s permission, the fans finally got their wish to enter the filming set and smoothly met their goddess, Moira Young.
They were extremely excited, and a girl even burst into tears the moment she saw Moira Young.
Moira Young had never dealt with a situation like this before and was slightly uneasy. Seeing her awkward yet gentle way of comforting everyone made the fans like her even more.
"Sister, these are our local specialties, very delicious. You should try them."
The girl who had been crying pulled out a pack of snacks from her bag and handed it to Moira Young, offering a sweet smile despite her tear-stained face.
Moira Young felt a warmth in her heart and reached out to take it, "Thank you."
"Sister is really nice, so gentle and beautiful, truly my goddess," a male fan shouted excitedly.
The others wanted to agree but were stopped by Moira’s silencing gesture. She softly said, "Everyone is preparing for filming, so please don’t be too noisy."
The fans obediently closed their mouths and started giving the small gifts they had prepared to Moira Young.
Then the girl who had given the snacks stood up and spoke on behalf of everyone, "Sister, you work hard. We will come to see you next time, so please take care of yourself."
"You all must take care of yourselves as well," Moira Young felt a tender softness in her heart, her eyes glimmering with tears. She was truly touched.
"Then we’re leaving." The girl reluctantly pulled Moira Young’s hand before finally leading the group away from the filming site.
Watching their figures fade into the distance, Moira Young couldn’t quite describe how she felt. Having been in the entertainment industry for so long, she felt a bit of warmth for the first time.
It turned out, there were so many people in this world who cared for her and loved her.
Returning to her seat, she slowly opened the pack of snacks. A box of exquisitely packaged green dumplings appeared before her.
She was just about to open and eat one when the director’s voice sounded by her ear.
"All departments in position, prepare to start filming."
Having no choice, she carefully handed the green dumplings to Joe to store away, ready for filming.
The morning’s shooting went very smoothly, almost every scene was shot in one take, which made the director very pleased and even secretly praised Moira Young for being smart.
Just then, Sean Dunn happened to pass by and saw this scene. He scoffed dismissively, his eyes flashing with malice.
During the break, Moira felt increasingly hungry, having hardly eaten anything that morning.
However, returning to her resting seat, the sight before her suddenly dropped her good mood to freezing point.
The green dumplings given by fans had unknowingly been opened, and out of the box of ten dumplings, each had a huge hole punched in it, with the filling spilled all over.
The dumpling skins were soft and crumpled, unappetizing and no longer edible.
Moira Young’s face changed repeatedly. Grinding her teeth, she angrily walked towards Sean Dunn and threw the tray of green dumplings ruthlessly in front of him.
She harshly questioned, "Sean Dunn, what do you mean by this?"
"What are you talking about? I don’t understand," Sean Dunn glanced disdainfully at the messy green dumplings, waving a fan as if looking down on Moira Young.
His attitude clearly showed he wasn’t going to admit it. Moira Young trembled with anger, coldly saying, "You’re the one who always targets me in the entire crew. If you didn’t do this, who did?"
"Moira, I admit that you annoy me, but you’re taking such childish tricks and blaming them on me? Isn’t that a bit too much?"
Sean Dunn laughed coldly, not taking Moira Young seriously at all.
"You..." Moira Young wanted to say something more, but the director’s voice interrupted her.
She glared fiercely at Sean Dunn, "You just enjoy picking fights with me?"
Sean Dunn was briefly intimidated by Moira Young’s fierce gaze, but then he thought, it’s just a little girl—what’s there to be afraid of?
So he snorted and turned away.
Due to this little incident, the afternoon’s filming was exceptionally difficult. Moira Young was in a bad mood and couldn’t get into character at all.
Even a simple scene was shot over thirty times.
The director who praised Moira Young in the morning looked at her in disbelief, his face dark, "Moira Young, I just praised you this morning, and now you’re falling short?"
"Director, I..."
"You’re popular now, but don’t forget you’re still an actress! Please display the professionalism expected of an actress. Don’t throw tantrums like a child—do you really want the whole crew to work overtime just to please you?" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
The director didn’t want to hear Moira Young’s defense, harshly reprimanding her.
When the crew heard the director’s words, they all started complaining, blaming Moira Young for slowing down the shoot and feeling very dissatisfied.
Sean Dunn watched the one-sided situation unfold and raised his brows proudly.
Truly, the money spent on buying milk tea for the crew in the afternoon hadn’t gone to waste.
Moira Young was stunned by the scolding from the director. Never having been reprimanded so directly before, she didn’t know how to respond, standing at a loss, tightly pressing her red lips together without saying a word.
Sean Dunn slightly couldn’t bear it, standing up to mediate a bit, "Director, since Moira doesn’t feel right, let’s shoot the next scene first. She’s new and surely needs time to adapt."
"You better think carefully—you can’t survive in the industry without the basic qualities of an actor!"
The director coldly added this before turning to others, "Get ready, let’s shoot the next scene first."
