Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 221: Report
The Sinclair Group.
Julian Sinclair sat in the office looking at the woman in front of him. He could have taken Moira Young to LE in the morning, but she disrupted all his plans.
"Julian, why are you looking at me like that? Aren’t you happy I’m here to celebrate your birthday?" Fiona Rhodes walked up to the desk, the strong scent of her perfume overwhelming.
Julian Sinclair leaned back slightly, frowning; he really hated such a pungent perfume smell.
"Don’t come to see me again." Julian Sinclair said coldly.
Fiona Rhodes didn’t expect Julian Sinclair to be so direct, "Why? Weren’t we getting along well before?"
"Did you find out something?" Julian Sinclair asked.
"I only have my suspicions, I’m not sure, Julian, did you lose your memory?" Fiona Rhodes looked at him with concern and wanted to touch his face, but Julian Sinclair avoided it.
"I am amnesiac, but I know I don’t want to see you." Julian Sinclair candidly admitted. He had now grasped about ninety percent of the information he couldn’t remember before, and with Mr. Miller back, he wasn’t afraid for people to know he had memory loss.
"How could that be, we had such a good relationship before... Julian, how could you treat me like this?" Fiona Rhodes’s eyes turned red.
"I never believed we had a good relationship before." Julian Sinclair’s coldness was heart-stopping, his icy eyes showing no hint of emotion.
"Everyone around us knows... We’ve been childhood sweethearts, I was with you through that dark period when your mother passed away, I was with you through it all, why don’t you believe me?"
"Leave." Julian Sinclair no longer wanted to say another word to her.
"Is it because of Moira Young?" Fiona Rhodes bluntly asked.
Julian Sinclair’s muscles stiffened briefly, but he remained calm on the surface, "It has nothing to do with her."
"Don’t lie to me, if not for Moira Young, there would be no problems between us. All of this is because of Moira Young!"
"From the moment I first saw Moira Young, I sensed something was off, but I chose to trust you because you promised to marry me since childhood, so I’ve waited so long, until this age."
Fiona Rhodes became more emotional, tears welling up, "Julian Sinclair, you can’t just abandon me for a girl!"
"I said, it has nothing to do with her." Julian Sinclair wouldn’t even look at her directly.
Facing Julian Sinclair’s attitude, Fiona Rhodes sneered, standing upright, "Don’t forget, my brother still has photos of us kissing."
"Julian Sinclair, you can’t escape." Fiona Rhodes picked up her bag, gave Julian Sinclair a deep look, and left.
Julian Sinclair frowned, nearly forgetting about those photos.
At that moment, Mr. Miller sent a text saying Moira Young was already on her way home, so Julian Sinclair headed back home.
When he arrived home, Moira Young was sitting on the sofa making a phone call.
Upon seeing Julian Sinclair return, Moira said a couple more words before hanging up.
"The teacher called to ask if I’m going back to school. Sigh..." Moira Young was unsure what to do, already having signed a contract with LE company, yet she still needed to complete her studies.
"I’ll handle it." Julian Sinclair said blandly.
Julian Sinclair looked at Mr. Miller, signaling him to report the morning situation.
"Sir, LE required Miss to come to the company for an audition at nine-thirty the day after tomorrow. It’s for a drama starring Sean Dunn."
Julian Sinclair was somewhat displeased; Moira Young being out in public like that was already a problem, and now she wanted to act in a drama?
"In the company, there’s an artist named Vivi who was very disrespectful to Miss," Mr. Miller suddenly mentioned, surprising Moira Young, not expecting even this to be reported.
Julian Sinclair suddenly remembered he hadn’t dealt with the previous incident where Moira Young was accused of being involved with a director. Mr. Miller, aware of Julian Sinclair’s thoughts, immediately asked, "Sir, should I handle it?"
"Handle?" Moira Young didn’t understand, "Handle what? How to handle it?"
Julian Sinclair could have personally handled the past incidents these days, but Fiona Rhodes came to him again today. He thought for a moment.
"Let Gary handle it, you have other matters." Julian Sinclair had to keep Mr. Miller by his side these days; it was the best way to guard against Fiona Rhodes because only Mr. Miller knew the whole past, and Julian needed him around all the time to remind him.
He absolutely couldn’t fall for Fiona Rhodes’s tricks because of his amnesia.
"Alright, sir." Mr. Miller replied and went to instruct Gary.
Moira Young stared wide-eyed at Julian Sinclair, speaking softly, "What are you guys talking about... I didn’t understand a word..."
"You don’t need to." Julian Sinclair sat down, "Moira, do you really want to become a star?"
Moira Young shook her head, "Not really."
"Then go back to school and continue your studies."
"No, I already signed a contract. Although it’s not for a long time, I can’t breach it." Moira Young thought since she signed a contract, she should fulfill the time within the contract period and do well.
Julian Sinclair didn’t want to force her, "If one day you’re unhappy, tell me."
Moira Young felt herself immersed in Julian Sinclair’s pampering, unable to extricate herself, "I know."
"By the way, I still need to visit a patient in the next couple of days; I promised them before, and I haven’t gone for days." Moira Young felt a bit guilty for not visiting Sean these days.
"I’ll go with you." Julian Sinclair was uneasy with her going out alone since he didn’t know what tricks Fiona Rhodes might pull.
"No need, you’ll scare them. I’ll just go myself." Moira Young said it was to avoid scaring Sean and his grandmother, but in truth, she wanted to secretly pick out a gift for Julian Sinclair without him knowing.
"Then let Mr. Miller go with you."
Moira Young anticipated that Julian Sinclair would say this, she tugged at his sleeve, looking pitifully, "Do I have no personal freedom at all... just half a day, I’ll be back in half a day."
For the first time since his amnesia, Julian Sinclair saw Moira Young openly act spoiled, a warm feeling surged through his heart, he couldn’t help but want to agree to everything she asked.
But, he couldn’t.
"Moira, listen." Julian Sinclair’s eyes gradually filled with a warm smile, gently patting Moira Young’s head.
Moira Young pouted, releasing his sleeve to show she was angry and unhappy.
Julian Sinclair sighed softly, understanding why everyone, including Mr. and Mrs. Miller, placed Moira Young on such a high pedestal, almost equal to himself.
Because everyone knew what Moira Young meant to him.
And now Julian Sinclair gradually understood that Moira Young was an existence surpassing his own.
