Chapter 206: Chapter 206: Report

Half an hour later, the dance instructor arrived in the living room with an assistant.

Everyone voluntarily gathered and stood in place, with Moira Young standing on the far side.

"I believe you all have some understanding of your current rankings. If you’re lower on the list, don’t lose heart; you’ll have a chance to perform well shortly," the dance instructor said.

"Everyone has one chance to perform, which could be a dance, a song, or an instrument. My suggestion is for you to choose something that best showcases your abilities, like Elena, I suggest you choose dance."

Elena, feeling proud after being specifically mentioned by the instructor, replied, "Okay, thank you, teacher."

"Teacher, where are we going to perform?" everyone asked.

"On stage, with a live broadcast for the entirety. You’ll have one hour to prepare and we’ll depart promptly at 2:30," the dance instructor said before leaving.

Everyone was stunned—a single hour of preparation...

"Opportunities are for those who are prepared," Elena lifted her chin and returned to her room.

Crystal quietly slipped away from the discussion site; the director had told her beforehand there would be a performance tonight, so she had prepared early on.

Moira Young had no preparation at all; she was not as good as most girls in dance, nor did she know many songs to sing.

After contemplating for a long time, she decided to continue playing the piano.

At 2:30, the dance instructor arrived on time and handed each person a piece of white paper and a pen. "Write down the program you will perform and fold it up so no one else can see it."

After writing them down, everyone handed theirs to the dance instructor.

"Teacher, where is the director?" Crystal cautiously asked.

The dance instructor glanced at her, "You should worry about yourself first!"

Crystal thought the instructor was telling her to focus on her performance that night. "Thank you, teacher, I will do my best tonight."

The dance instructor brought nine girls to the performance venue to give them a tour first.

The stage size had changed somewhat from the size during the preliminaries and semi-finals; the stage now was large and spectacular.

"Let me emphasize, there’s no rehearsal for tonight’s performance. Everyone will go on stage based on a draw; whoever is drawn will perform first, and it’s live broadcast," the dance instructor said, pointing to the stage to signal everyone to take a good look.

After looking at the stage, the group went to put on makeup.

In the dressing room, everyone was both nervous and excited; with so many girls, the room was filled with incessant chatter.

"Elena’s definitely doing a dance. Crystal, are you doing a dance too?" one girl asked.

Crystal, not being foolish, replied, "You’ll know once I’m on stage!"

Crystal couldn’t help but glance at Moira Young sitting opposite her; when Moira was writing her performance project on the paper, Crystal deliberately peeked and knew she was going to perform on the piano.

Peeking was intentional; Crystal was still upset about their midday quarrel. She loathed Moira Young and was determined to embarrass her this time.

In a soft voice, Crystal told the makeup artist, "Sister, could you do it a bit faster? My stomach is a little upset..."

The makeup artist nodded, "No problem, just hold on a bit, I’ll be quick."

This makeup artist was really fast; while others were still working on eyeshadow, Crystal was already done.

Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention, Crystal pretended she was going to the restroom and secretly ran to the instrument storage room with her untouched bottle of mineral water.

The staff already knew the performance projects and were preparing accordingly.

Crystal crouched carefully beside the wall, cautiously peeking inside, "Excuse me, is this piano going to be used later?"

The staff turned around, "Yes, but non-staff are prohibited from entering here."

"I’m going to perform on the piano later, I just wanted to see which one I will use..." Crystal pleaded pitifully, "Besides, there are people peeking through the door’s crack over there, I..."

"Where?" the staff asked sternly.

Crystal gestured casually, "Over there!"

The staff, a bit annoyed, said, "Don’t mess with these things, I’ll take a look over there."

With that, the staff rushed over to the direction Crystal had pointed to.

Crystal smirked, seized the moment to approach the piano, twisted the cap off, and poured water inside. This way, Moira Young would certainly hit off-pitch notes when playing.

Crystal was already waiting for Moira Young’s embarrassment.

Then she went to the door frame and stood obediently. The staff soon returned, "I didn’t see anyone over there?"

"They probably ran away after watching," Crystal shrugged.

"You really are a nuisance, get out of here and don’t come back to mess things up," the staff told her to leave.

Crystal stuck out her tongue; having succeeded with her plan, she turned to leave.

Back in the dressing room, Elena couldn’t help asking, "Crystal, why did it take you so long to go to the restroom?"

"My stomach was upset, but I’m feeling much better now."

"If you’re not well, take a break so you can be in top shape for the stage," Elena advised.

Crystal intentionally went over to Elena’s side and whispered in her ear, "There’s a good show tonight."

Elena’s eyes lit up, "What show?"

"There will definitely be a good show; just sit back and watch!" After saying that, Crystal couldn’t resist looking at Moira Young.

That glance was caught by Moira Young, and Crystal gave a provocative smile to Moira Young.

As it neared the time to go on stage, everyone began drawing lots. Moira Young drew the last position, receiving looks of envy and jealousy from everyone around.

Being the last to perform would certainly leave the most lasting impression, and this final spot went to Moira Young, who currently had the highest number of fans.

Moira Young wasn’t particularly happy or unhappy about her performance order; to her, it didn’t matter when she performed.

As everyone prepared to go on stage one by one, Moira Young, feeling a bit tired from sitting in the hard chair in the dressing room for so long, decided to go to the terrace at the far end of the floor to get some fresh air.

As she approached the door, she heard there were already people on the terrace, seemingly two men smoking and chatting.

"You know, our director is really unlucky, being reported by someone."

"Yeah, no idea who reported him, and that Crystal probably doesn’t know yet either."

Moira Young paused; she wasn’t fond of eavesdropping, especially not on irrelevant conversations. She had no interest in Crystal and the director’s matters.

Indifferently, she returned from the terrace door to the dressing room, only to find that it was Crystal’s turn to go on stage, yet she hadn’t.

The makeup artists were still there, and the second-to-last girl sat in the chair, constantly taking deep breaths to calm her nerves.

Moira Young stood outside the door, reluctant to go inside.

At this time, Crystal’s phone rang. No one paid attention when she answered, but after a while, everyone’s gaze shifted to Crystal.
