Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 131: Going Out
Moira Young frowned, immediately ran to the window to look outside, only to find a crowd of people gathering densely.
"Yes, young master said there’s been unrest in the past half month, so more guards were assigned."
Moira Young sat back at the dining table with a worried face, thinking to herself that she was truly stuck this time.
"Mrs. Miller, don’t you think he’s being excessive?" Moira Young really hoped to find someone who shared her viewpoint.
Mrs. Miller said without hesitation: "Young master always has his reasoning for what he does."
"But he’s kept me locked in this house for half a month. Does he want me to suffocate here?"
"Mr. Miller and I are here with you. Just bear it a little, and it’ll pass." Mrs. Miller smiled and comforted her.
Moira Young felt both uncomfortable and helpless. Just then, Mr. Miller walked in and noticed Moira’s gloomy face. He asked with concern, "Miss, before young master left, he instructed us to make sure to try to fulfill all your requests."
"I have no other requests. I just want to go out." Moira Young said lightly, weakly picking up her milk.
"Young master said that as long as you don’t leave the house, even if you want the moon in the sky, he will try to fulfill it."
Moira Young sneered. What would she do with the moon in the sky?
Moira Young hastily finished her meal, frowned, and went upstairs to lock herself in her room.
This went on for over a week. She really couldn’t endure it anymore. She was about to go crazy.
Ten days later, in the high school group chat on WeChat, someone organized a gathering. Everyone had just parted to go to college and seemed eager to meet up.
Heath Sterling and Thea Thorne were among them this time.
Carter Porter sent a private message asking if Moira Young would go. Moira knew she couldn’t leave, so she simply didn’t reply.
Ten minutes later, Carter called her on voice chat.
"Hey, Moira, did you see the message in the high school group?"
Moira Young lay on the bed and pouted unhappily, "Yeah, I saw it."
"I talked to the class rep, the gathering will be at noon with karaoke in the afternoon and barbecue in the evening. That way, we can send you back earlier." Carter had it all arranged.
"But I... can’t go..." Moira Young rolled her eyes at the window. There were bodyguards outside, and she couldn’t escape.
"Can’t go? Then—"
Before Carter could finish, Heath Sterling snatched the phone.
"Is it that Julian Sinclair won’t let you out? I’ll come to rescue you!" Heath Sterling declared righteously.
Moira Young could hardly stop from laughing. She recognized Heath’s voice, "I really can’t get out. You guys have fun."
"Aren’t Carter and I your good friends? We’re both calling you out and you still won’t come?" Heath felt like he hadn’t seen Moira Young in ages and was determined to meet her.
"Tomorrow at eleven in the morning, I’ll pick you up." Heath said and then hung up, not giving Moira a chance to refuse.
Moira Young stared blankly at her phone screen. Honestly, she really wanted to go out, whether it was to a gathering or just to get some fresh air. As long as she could leave the house, she was all for it. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
The last thing she wanted to do was unconditionally listen to Julian Sinclair.
So, the more Julian forbade her from going out, the more she wanted to leave.
Moira Young racked her brains, tossing and turning on her bed before finally coming up with an idea. She immediately ran downstairs to see what Mrs. Miller was doing.
"Mrs. Miller, what are you doing?"
"Washing dishes. Miss, what would you like to eat tomorrow?" asked Mrs. Miller.
Moira Young smirked playfully. She hadn’t even needed to bring it up and Mrs. Miller had set the topic, "I don’t know what I want to eat, but I seem to have lost my appetite these past few days."
Mrs. Miller frowned with worry, "Yes, I noticed you’ve lost weight."
"Sigh..." Moira Young sighed heavily.
"Isn’t there anything that you particularly want to eat?"
Moira Young pretended to think and after a while said, "Mrs. Miller, why don’t you take me with you when you go grocery shopping tomorrow? That way, when I see the food, I might suddenly feel like eating something."
"That sounds like a good idea, but young master said you can’t leave the house until he returns."
"Mrs. Miller, this is a special situation, isn’t it? Besides, I’m going out with you, not on my own, so it’s fine."
Mrs. Miller hesitated for a long time but still couldn’t agree, "No, no, unless you get permission from Mr. Miller, I can’t make that decision."
"Oh, Mrs. Miller, you’ve always been the kindest to me. Look, I’ve starved myself thin; can you bear it?" Moira Young walked over and pleaded coquettishly.
Mrs. Miller couldn’t resist her, "Fine, fine, I’ll agree! But there’s one condition, you must stick with me and not wander off."
Moira Young was so excited she almost jumped up: "That’s fantastic! Love you the most!"
Mrs. Miller’s smile was as bright as a blooming flower: "You’ve always been a cutie. Who can say no when you plead like that?"
"So what time should I get up tomorrow?" Moira Young’s little plan succeeded, and she was overly happy.
"You’ve been waking up at noon these days and going straight to lunch. Tomorrow, get up at ten, so you can sleep a bit more."
Moira Young chuckled sneakily; this timing was just perfect.
The next day, Moira Young got up at nine-thirty. She rummaged through her wardrobe for a long time before finding the perfect outfit, then started singing while putting on her makeup.
Mrs. Miller watched Moira Young with suspicion while holding the grocery basket, "Miss, you look beautiful today."
Moira Young pretended to be nonchalant, "It’s been a while since I’ve left the house; I can’t just go out looking unkempt."
Mrs. Miller felt something was off, but she couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was.
When they were leaving, the bodyguards stopped them, allowing only Mrs. Miller to go out, saying Moira couldn’t leave.
Moira clung to Mrs. Miller’s arm, her face full of grievance and sadness, her tears brimming, "Mrs. Miller...you promised me..."
Mrs. Miller hesitated. She didn’t really want to take Moira out, but she couldn’t refuse her when she looked like that.
After much persuasion, the bodyguards finally agreed to give them half an hour, with two men following them.
Mr. Miller had been missing since yesterday, seemingly busy with something important, so he didn’t join Moira when leaving.
Along the way, Moira had sneakily glanced at the two bodyguards behind her countless times, but they followed closely, making it difficult to escape.
"Mrs. Miller, I need to use the restroom." Moira Young said deliberately when Mrs. Miller was busy picking vegetables.
"Alright, but come back quickly."
As Moira turned around, the two bodyguards followed her.
"Do I need an escort to use the restroom?"
"Miss, this is all for your safety."
Moira raised an eyebrow, speechless, "Fine, you win."
She went into the restroom, thinking she was truly stuck, but to her surprise, there was a window in the women’s restroom!
Moira approached it like she’d found a treasure and tried it; the window could open.
Without a second thought, she jumped out through the window, feeling like she had finally seen daylight again.
When Heath Sterling came to pick her up, Carter Porter was in the car too; it seemed the two had met up earlier.
When they arrived at the restaurant for the gathering, most of their friends were already there. Whether boys or girls, they couldn’t resist going up to Heath as soon as they saw him.
"Wow, Heath! You’ve become a national race car driver in such a short time!"
"Yeah! You were the heartthrob of the girls in high school. Now, are you going to give us single folks any chance to breathe?"
The girls couldn’t stop laughing, their faces blushing as they looked at Heath, while Thea Thorne sat alone with a gloomy face, nobody talking to her.
"By the way, Heath, how come you arrived with Moira today? Could it be that you two—"
