Sweet Time Only for You: The Entanglement between Mr. Lu and Miss Song-Chapter 424: Mommy, Hurry Up or We’ll Be Late
Song Dabai widened his eyes, seemingly enlightened by his mommy’s words all of a sudden.
He immediately nodded and said, "Yeah, yeah, let’s call it Tuanzi. It’s such a cute name!"
Lu Jihan stood not far away, hands in pockets, leisurely watching the mother and son duo, with a strategic smile playing at the corner of his mouth.
To think she dared refuse him, and yet he can’t do anything about her, huh!
.........
The autumn in the Imperial City is always drizzly, but this day was a rare clear autumn day, brightening people’s moods immensely.
After finishing the rehearsal with the band, Song Yinyin followed her usual routine and went to the art school to pick her son, Song Dabai, up from school.
Once in the car, Song Dabai suddenly brought up going to the supermarket to buy food for Tuanzi.
In fact, there was plenty of dog food at home, but the little guy insisted that buying it himself showed sincerity.
Because Daddy had reminded him that from now on, the heavy responsibility of raising Tuanzi lay with him.
Song Yinyin was caught between tears and laughter but couldn’t bear to see her son disappointed, so she agreed.
Passing by a gigantic commercial pedestrian street, Song Dabai pointed at a huge dog food poster ahead and said, "Mommy, mommy, let’s buy Tuanzi’s food there!"
"Won’t there be too many people?" Song Yinyin frowned lightly.
"Come on, come on, we’re already here. Mommy, let’s go together." The little guy had top-notch persuasion skills, his little mouth pouted, and his rosy cheeked face was irresistibly cute.
Song Yinyin was melted by her son’s adorable face, reluctantly smiling, "Alright, alright, let’s go together."
"Oh yeah!"
Song Dabai exclaimed excitedly.
As the car stopped by the roadside and the driver walked around to the rear door to open it, Song Dabai couldn’t wait to grab his mommy’s hand and jump out of the car.
"Mommy, quick, quick, quick! Let’s go, or we’ll be too late!"
It’s just buying dog food, how could we be too late for that?
Song Yinyin was caught between tears and laughter again but still sped up to match her son’s pace.
Up ahead was an bustling crowd; who knows what day it was today that a usually deserted commercial street was now full of people.
Song Dabai seemed very excited, gripping her hand tightly and heading straight into the crowd.
Not only that, he urged from time to time, "Mommy, hurry up! You’re so slow! Hurry up!"
"Dabai, slow down, be careful not to fall."
Worried about her son falling, Song Yinyin didn’t dare let go of his hand.
As they walked, in no time they found themselves in the very center of this enormous commercial street. Looking up, Song Yinyin realized she and her son had arrived at the most popular Celebrity Square in the Imperial City.
In front of them was the ancient and magnificent Celebrity Monument, a landmark of Celebrity Square.
At this moment, people crowded around the monument, all looking towards the center of it in unison.
There seemed to be some kind of event going on here. It’s unclear which business was holding the event, but judging by the grandeur of the setup and the impressive decorations, it was clear the company was quite powerful.
However, Song Yinyin was never fond of joining in the bustle, and she furrowed her brows tightly.
She glanced down at her son, who wore an excited expression, and said, "Dabai, why did you bring me here? Weren’t we getting dog food for Tuanzi? Let’s go."
She tried to pull her son away, but his small hand held onto her tightly.
"Mommy, just wait a little bit, I want to see."
"What’s so great about watching?" Song Yinyin furrowed her pretty brows in annoyance.
Just at that moment, a female emcee, dressed in elaborate attire, ascended the steps to the lavishly decorated temporary stage.
