Sweet Time Only for You: The Entanglement between Mr. Lu and Miss Song-Chapter 250: Two Children Missing 3
"Dabai..."
Song Yinyin felt a tightness in her chest, so anxious she almost spat blood.
She tightly grabbed Lu Jihan’s arm and said, "Give me the car keys."
"What do you want the car keys for?"
She blurted out, "Of course, to drive and find Song Dabai. Give me your car keys, and I’ll go after him right now!"
As she spoke, she was already eager to turn and rush out.
A strong hand from behind clasped her delicate wrist, stopping her impulsiveness.
"Song Yinyin!" Lu Jihan reprimanded, "Calm down!"
"How can I calm down? You heard from our friend at the police station too; it might be the same group. If it really is them, every minute we delay could mean Dabai and Luolu..."
She choked up and couldn’t continue.
"I can’t imagine what Dabai is going through now. I’m scared for him... I’m worried, I must go find him immediately!"
As she spoke, she struggled forcefully to break free from Lu Jihan’s grasp.
But Lu Jihan was strong, holding her tightly, not allowing her to leave.
"I’ve already notified Ji Tingfeng. My people will be there soon. Trust me; there’s no way you could find Dabai by yourself."
"So I should just sit and wait, doing nothing? No! I can’t do that!" Song Yinyin shook her head, her eyes turning red.
Lu Jihan looked at her, biting his teeth helplessly: "Fine, if you really have to go find him, I’ll go with you!"
He led Song Yinyin all the way to the parking lot. Her steps were urgent and fast, and he could hardly keep up with her.
When they sat in the car, her face grew even paler.
It seemed she held back for a long time before slowly saying, "Dabai has never been away from me; this is the first time. I don’t know if he... can make it through... he’s still so young."
"He’s a boy, and a boy should have a boy’s courage. Trust your son; he will take care of himself."
Lu Jihan gently tightened his grip on her small hand, comforting her as he fastened her seatbelt.
His actions were gentle, without a hint of panic, exuding a sense of reassurance and warmth.
Song Yinyin felt as if with him, everything would be resolved.
All the way, Lu Jihan kept making phone calls.
Song Yinyin listened as he gave calm, methodical instructions for people to guard the train station, long-distance bus station, and exits of the Imperial City.
Subsequently, he received several calls. Whenever someone had a lead, they reported it directly to him. As new clues emerged, he constantly adjusted their plans.
Several times, Song Yinyin wanted to ask him something but feared disrupting his arrangements, so she sat anxiously, forcing herself to watch the bustling scenery outside the window.
When the car returned to the Imperial City District, Song Yinyin saw familiar surroundings and realized they were heading back to the Lu Family Mansion.
"Lu Jihan, I don’t want to go back yet. I won’t return until we find Dabai. Take me to the police station. I want to know the latest information. Or, give me the car, and I’ll go look for Dabai myself."
She frowned, saying stubbornly.
But Lu Jihan continued driving forward, ignoring her request.
With urgency, Song Yinyin repeated, "Lu Jihan, stop the car! I don’t want to go back, don’t you hear me?!"
His expression remained as calm as ever: "I heard you, but I can’t do as you ask."
"Why not?!"
Song Yinyin’s eyes reddened with anxiety, wishing she could jump out of the car.
