Supreme Harem God System-Chapter 1948 Why Azriel?
Chapter 1948 Why Azriel?
"How do we deal with the Supreme Worlds coming after us?"
Nux questioned directly, doing exactly what the Seer told him to do. The woman smiled. She knew Nux still had doubts, but she appreciated his actions.
Their relationship was finally blossoming.
For an instant, she lost herself in her own fantasies. Soon, however, she shook her head and answered Nux's question.
"You do not have to worry about that.
Those fools are currently busy fighting amongst themselves, trying to find out who amongst them is the Universe's Child and come up with ways to end his existence."
"So they do not know who the Universe's Child actually is?"
"Of course not. If they did, Azriel would have died. You think the Universe would make it so easy to kill its Child?
They just know the Universe has chosen a Child, and they believe it is one of them because who else would it be?
After all, they are the entities closest to the Universe—or at least, that is what they believe."
The Seer spoke sarcastically. Clearly, she wasn't fond of the Four Supreme Worlds.
"What does 'entities closest to the Universe' mean? Actually, was there a reason the Universe chose Lord Azriel as its Child? If yes, then do you know what it is?"
Nux asked a series of questions.
The Seer momentarily turned silent, making Nux frown.
"What? Is it something I will not understand again?"
"You see…"
The Seer smiled wryly.
However, just as Nux was about to sigh in disappointment, the woman gave in, unable to see that look on his face.
"Alright, I'll try to explain.
Think of it this way: if the Universe's strength is 100, then Infinities are at 60, the Eternals are at 8, Transcendents 1, and others don't matter."
"That's quite a big gap between Eternals and Infinities."
Nux commented.
"It is accurate."
The Seer nodded, once again returning to the main topic.
"According to this scale, Infinities are obviously closest to the Universe, and while this scale may represent strength, it also represents the connection between the Universe and an entity inside it.
After all, the essence of cultivation is understanding your Law, and as you understand your Law, you get closer to the Universe.
So the living entities closest to the Universe are indeed Infinities. The more powerful their Law and the better their understanding of it, the closer they are.
In our scale, this could be like the Infinities from Supreme Level Worlds being somewhere around 60, while Azriel is at 61."
"So the reason Azriel was chosen was because he was the strongest?"
"Yes, that is one way to look at it. Strength isn't exactly the only factor either.
Azriel is also trustworthy and has a track record."
"A track record?"
Nux frowned.
"Yrniel."
The Seer answered.
"Azriel protected Yrniel when it was on the verge of destruction."
"Doesn't every Progenitor protect his own world?"
"Azriel is different. He protected Yrniel from threats that should have destroyed it."
"But Yrniel was…"
Nux frowned, not knowing if he should say it or not.
The Seer, however, shook her head.
"Yes, it was the Incarnation of the Supreme World, so you think no other world other than Supreme Worlds should be threats that should have destroyed it.
But that is wrong.
When Azriel was born, Yrniel was already reduced to a Low-Level World.
Creating two long-lasting shields, extending the Progenitors' lives, and creating so many Progenitors in the first place already took away most of its energy. Even a Middle-Level World should have been more than enough to destroy it.
But then,
Azriel was born, and in a world where one could only reach the Primordial Level, he formed a Law so strong that it gave Yrniel hope.
Yrniel, using whatever energy it had, supported him, allowing him to break his limits, and he didn't disappoint.
He got stronger and stronger and reached a point where no one in the entire Universe could stand up to him.
Azriel was… Yrniel's Hero.
And now, he is the Universe's Hero."
"So this is why the Universe chose him over other Infinities…"
"Mhm, those at the Supreme Worlds never had a chance. The Universe was always going to choose Azriel—I just pushed it a little to make that choice faster."
"Hmm? What?"
Nux frowned.
"You pushed the Universe to make that choice faster?"
"Mhm."
The Seer nodded.
"The Universe would have chosen Azriel, yes.

The Anomaly had only targeted a few beings and entities; it hadn't taken something the Universe actually cherished.
The Universe was angry, not desperate.
However, Azriel's act of risking his own life for the chance of becoming stronger attracted the Universe's attention.
The strength to not give up even when you have no way out—it was a quality of a Hero.
A quality that impressed the Universe, and it finally decided.
It wanted Azriel by its side. Even if it still wasn't desperate, it wanted to see what Azriel would grow into.
So the Universe made a decision and connected its fate to the Hero's, just like Yrniel once did."
The Seer revealed the entire story, and Nux just stared at her with a surprised look on his face.
Once again, he couldn't help but be impressed by his father-in-law.
Soon, however, another question popped up in his mind.
"How long would it take for the Supreme Worlds to realize that the Universe's Chosen isn't amongst them?"
"I cannot tell you that."
"Why is that?"
"I have several restrictions. As much as I want to help you, I cannot do so because I know it would bring you more harm than good.
For now, the only thing I can tell you is to follow the same path you had planned and get stronger.
I believe now that you have nothing holding you back, you can move much more efficiently."
Nux nodded at those words, and the Seer smiled brightly.
"Gather all the Primordial Energies, Nux Leander.
Make your Universe self-reliant like you planned to, and
Get stronger."
