Supreme Dragon Lord-Chapter 119: Fengren Gang!
"Boss, Fu Ming has sent the signal!"
Near Qingyin Temple, a group of men lay in ambush. Upon spotting the smoke dispersing in the sky, one of them immediately reported back.
"Haha, it looks like the Buddha Beads are ours." A burly, bearded middle-aged man grinned. "Once we get the inheritance within and eradicate Qingyin Temple, this thorn in our side, I’d like to see who dares to offend our Fengren Gang!"
"Everyone, charge in with me!"
With a fierce wave of his arm, he led the charge toward Qingyin Temple.
"What’s going on?"
"Who’s sending a signal?"
The monks of Qingyin Temple were bewildered by the commotion, unaware of what had transpired within the main hall.
"The Fengren Gang is here!" a disciple guarding the entrance shouted, his face filled with shock as he saw the group of men approaching menacingly.
"How on earth did they get here?" another Qingyin Temple disciple asked, his brow furrowed.
The Fengren Sect was a notorious force from the base of the mountain. They burned, killed, looted, and plundered—committing every evil imaginable. In recent years, many people in the region had suffered terribly at their hands.
Fortunately, Qingyin Temple had intervened to suppress them. They had even sent out numerous disciples on extermination missions, determined to wipe out the Fengren Gang completely. However, the gang’s members were exceedingly cunning, hiding everywhere like rats. Although they hadn’t been fully eradicated, the operation had still dealt them a severe blow. No one had expected such universally despised vermin to suddenly swarm their gates.
"Gather everyone here at once!" the head disciple commanded.
"Yes!" a disciple responded, immediately springing into action.
In no time, a large number of Qingyin Temple disciples had assembled at the main gate.
The head disciple shouted in a low, resonant voice, "Fengren Gang! You underground rats, you dare come knocking on our door? Good. That saves us the trouble of hunting you down. We’ll take this chance to wipe you out completely!"
"All disciples, hear my command! Eradicate these remnants of the Fengren Gang and serve justice!"
In an instant, a powerful aura surged from the Qingyin Temple disciples!
"Stop!"
A figure leaped through the air, landing atop the gateway.
"Supervisor!" the Qingyin Temple disciples called out respectfully upon seeing the newcomer.
"All of you, stand down!" Fu Ming commanded.
Hearing his words, the disciples were left dumbfounded.
"You scoundrel!" A Qingyin Temple elder rushed over, shouting angrily at Fu Ming. "You are a man of Qingyin Temple! Not only did you ambush the Abbot, but you’ve also colluded with the Fengren Gang?"
"What?"
"Elder, what’s happening?"
The disciples stared in disbelief. Just then, Long Chen arrived with the Abbot and several others. Seeing the Abbot’s pale face and grievous injuries, looks of concern spread among the disciples.
The Abbot questioned him, his voice strained, "Why? Qingyin Temple has always treated you well. Why would you do this?"
Fu Ming said in a low voice, "You senile old fool, you’re not fit to be the Abbot of Qingyin Temple! All that talk of benevolence and morality you spew every day? It’s all garbage!"
Hearing this, the Abbot could only let out a soft sigh. "In all its years, Qingyin Temple has never had a traitor. I never imagined you would commit such a heinous betrayal!"
"A heinous betrayal?" Fu Ming said coldly. "Just look at the state of Qingyin Temple. Before you became Abbot, our temple was renowned. And after? I watched with my own eyes as Qingyin Temple declined under your leadership, step by step, until it became the irrelevant place it is today."
"I had no choice! For the future of Qingyin Temple, I had to collaborate with the Fengren Sect. It was all for this moment—to pull you down from your position as Abbot!"
"You can say all you want, but in the end, it’s just about your desire for the Abbot’s seat," the Abbot said, cutting to the heart of the matter. "There’s no need to pretend it’s for the good of Qingyin Temple."
"That’s right! You’ve hit the nail on the head!"
"I am doing this to become the Abbot! That position should have been mine from the start! I am doing this to take control of Qingyin Temple!"
Fu Ming turned to the many disciples, his voice filled with righteous promise. "As long as I become the Abbot of Qingyin Temple, I guarantee I can lead us to become the most respected power in this entire region!"
"A wise man adapts to the circumstances!" The boss, Yan Hai, laughed heartily as he stared at the Abbot. "Old man, you tried to wipe out my Fengren Gang. Today, I’ll make you pay for it twice over!" 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"Hopelessly deluded. Beyond redemption." The Abbot shook his head in disappointment, then issued his command to the disciples of Qingyin Temple, "Arrest the traitor Fu Ming, and exterminate the Fengren Gang!"
