Supreme Couple In Apocalypse: Undead King & Demonic Queen-Chapter 222: Beginning of First Mark (1/8)
Lilith had returned to the Treehouse from the cavern and leisurely sat on the couch, sensing tens of hunters coming at the spot.
She had already warned Trailbane guild members, so they left and continued their journey after crossing the Umbral membrane with one member missing forever. Lyra.
*Swoosh! Swoosh!….*
A few seconds later, ten Royal-order hunters floated before Lilith.
But to her left floated roughly forty Noble-order hunters!
"You seem to be the Dark Queen Lilith. Our target."
"Where are your Noble-order team members?" MvLeMpYr-original
Lilith leisurely sat in her dark red dress, covered in a black feathered magic coat covering everything except the right hand holding a wine glass.
She took a sip and smiled, "Any more Royal-order hunters arriving or just you ten?"
"We ten are enough to kill you," a woman with long dark indigo hair indifferently said, her aura bursting as a pair of dark indigo flamy wings and the same color exquisite dress conjured over her light armor-set.
"I see," Lilith took a sip with her eyes closed, totally looking down on them.
Turning to the bunch of Noble-order hunters, she dismissively said, "Rin and Erix are past Umbral Membrane. You are free to go after them."
"Let's go!"
Someone shouted, and all of them turned into colorful lights that covered various aura of their powers and flew towards the Umbral membrane.
Right after they left, two blinding fast attacks shot towards Lilith.
One was a red flowery prison, and another was a powerful arrow-shaped projectile of dark indigo color, oozing out an aura mix of lightning and water.
But the prison intending to trap Lilith dissolved into flowers that softly fell on her while the arrow was wrapped by a rapid motion of dark red strings that completely shattered it.
"Keep me entertained, alright?" Lilith chuckled before the sky above turned dark red while a pitch-black moon with a mystical red border hung above.
With an exquisite array of blood and bones mixed with nature, the ten Royal-order hunters found themselves suffocating from their depths as they were trapped in Lilith's domain.
But their face only sank and turned dark when they realized they couldn't use their domain at all. And that was also when a certain reality was shoved into their throat.
None of them were idiots, but they were fooled. Hence, they knew after facing this woman and entering her domain that….they were sent here for another purpose.
They…they were sent here to get killed.
…
Erix and Rin were already in their separate ways and started battling the Shades.
Shades were a phenomenon of Spada Valley where if an individual died here, their death would birth a shade having similar powers as them.
These Shades would always attack others who crossed the Umbra membrane, trying to kill them.
Aside from that, this true Spada Valley was completely different.
It was the realm of darkness with no light anywhere, only the gloomy lights from gloomy plantations.
There were trees and plants, but none of them were green. All of them were colored dark shades of various colors, and nothing was safe.
Even a tree might become a monster in Spada Valley.
The valley was straight, and it had three zones. The first zone started from the Umbra membrane to 50 kilometers deep in the valley until a raging and deadly dark violet river that occasionally oozed out monsters.
This river had a 'U' shape, with the bottom of U being the river belt separating the first zone and the second zone. With huge mountains blocking both sides of this 60-kilometer-wide valley, the river's both ends went deeper into the 2nd zone before stopping the last zone, famously known as the Spada zone.
The only problem was no one knew why this valley was called Spada Valley or that zone Spada zone because those who had gone there had never returned.
Not even peak Empyrean-order hunters, who were the limit of rank and peak of power in this Kaalanx Abyss.
As such, it was a general knowledge here that the last zone was a forbidden zone so that no one would go there.
Since Erix had awakened Fire-affinity when he comprehended and awakened Nihilir, he also had to progress in it.
Using only flame along with his metal was a good combination.
He had a Tier-4 metal with conductivity to flame energy, so he used it to boost his attack further.
Meanwhile, Rin was focusing on using the Time element's powers. It was her priority to progress in Time affinity and also acquire the Speed concept.
She was battling with those two things in mind.
After they roamed separately for an hour, they met up at a barren hill spot fifteen kilometers deep in the 1st zone.
"Let's hope they arrive soon," Rin said while practicing her blade swings slowly but doing micro-management within her body and control of power flow.
"Have you thought about what skill you want to create to one-shot unsuspecting Royal-order hunters?" Erix asked while he was also in a thoughtful state.
"If I go all out, my Infinite Blade Ring technique can kill an unsuspecting Royal-order hunter," Rin said with a wry smile, "But not a suspecting one, and if I use it, they will most likely sense threat my attack possess."
"We'll have to upgrade our skill-formation-making method, as Lilith said."
"Yeah," Rin nodded in agreement as she rubbed her temple, "That book Lilith made read have some great example, so let's create small skills by mixing those type of skill formations and applying those magic effects."
"To kill Royal-order in one shot, one of the magic applications is a must, but we never used it when creating our other skills before."
"Which one?" Rin curiously asked, but then also immediately realized it as she remembered the content, "Pre-sequence magic application? We deemed it not worth it since it took more space in our formation, and we were confident in executing our skills and delivering it perfectly, but…"
Rin nodded with shining eyes, "Alright, I get it."
"Our sacrificial lambs are also here," Erix grinned as he turned to left upon sensing several auras entering his Space Map.
"Best tools to improve ourselves," Rin sharply smiled as her eyes glinted starlight purple.
Both of them exploded their aura to signal their enemies and then separated into different directions.
