Super Spender-Chapter 654 - 648: Inheritance Continued
Chapter 654: Chapter 648: Inheritance Continued
About a few minutes later, a black, gold-like iron token quietly came out from an opening atop the counter. The old man picked it up and gave Finn Lewis a peculiar look. He stared at Finn for a long time until Finn started feeling a tingling sensation on his scalp, then he finally spoke, “Your Highness, please stretch out your hand and give me a drop of blood.”
Finn let out a sigh of relief and quickly presented his right hand. Although Finn currently donned the Kemiya protective suit, it was no trouble for him to draw his own blood. He swiftly squeezed out a drop of blood. Could this thing also be activated by blood?
Finn watched curiously as the old man dripped the blood from the needle onto the black token. When the blood touched the black token, the blackness on the token rapidly melted away like snow under the sun, revealing its original blue texture.
Just as Finn and the others were curiously observing this transformation, a loud dragon roar suddenly resonated followed by two golden beams in the shape of Eastern divine dragons, emerging from the now-blue token.
Upon emerging, the two golden Eastern divine dragons were miniscule, but they rapidly grew larger as if they were balloons inflating. In a blink of an eye, they transformed into two golden dragons several meters long and charged towards Finn without hesitation.
Too fast to react, the two golden Eastern divine dragons darted straight into Finn’s body. Finn felt nothing initially, but soon he experienced a twinge of pain in his right hand. He quickly rolled up his sleeve to reveal a faint golden tattoo on his wrist.
The two agile and lifelike Five-Clawed Golden Dragons gave off an impression of vitality despite being tattoos. It felt as though they could move at any version. The two Five-Clawed Golden dragons intertwined each other and Finn noticed that around their feet and bodies, there were a total of nine stars.
The pang quickly vanished, but the golden tattoo remained imprinted on his skin as if it was a low-relief sculpture. Finn reached out to touch it, but felt nothing. It was as if the tattoo had always been there on his body.
“Well done, worthy of a nine-star royal. I didn’t expect that after so many years, a nine-star royal would come to claim their heritage. Your Highness, the ceremony is complete and you have fully inherited the relevant property, you can now leave,” the old man sighed before speaking to Finn.
“That’s it?” Finn looked speechlessly at the tattoo on his hand. Even though the tattoo was extraordinarily cool, Finn wasn’t sure whether to classify the past few moments as science fiction or fantasy. It was downright mythical, but now, no matter how mythical or fantastical it seemed, all he got was a tattoo.
“Yes, that is your family’s crest. With the crest, the Federation’s official records will include Your Highness. You have inherited your property, and unless you relinquish your inheritance rights, no one can violate your personal assets in any way,” the old man nodded and spoke.
Finn had more questions, but seeing the old man’s impatient manner, he guessed the old man was eager for him to leave. Finn shrugged and turned to leave. But as he walked a few steps, a voice from behind spoke, “Oh, by the way Your Highness, you may need to enrol in the Royal Political Academy in the Federation Star District for a certain period of time. Once you graduate, you will have solidified your inheritance rights as well as other rights in the Galactic Federation. Also, Your Highness, you need to review the imperial regulations related to the royal family, they are all here.”
Finn turned around; the old man tossed over an object the size of a phone from a drawer. Finn deftly caught it, and upon a look, he saw it was similar to a personal intelligence device. Except the only difference was that it contained all about rights and obligations as mentioned by the old man.
“Your Highness, I have completed my work. I will take my leave now.” After they emerged from the room, the android sent by the Inspection Bureau spoke to Finn.
Finn nodded, now it was just him and Dunn Monty left. “What do I need to do to exonerate you?” Finn lifted his head to look at Dunn Monty and asked.
“The merit will be recorded by the Inspection Bureau automatically. If nothing goes wrong, it should come soon. Your Highness, what is your plan now?” Dunn Monty replied.
“A plan? Can I find out what heritage I’ve inherited?” Finn thought about it, he still had no clue about what his inheritance exactly was.
“Detailed description can be found in this document,” Dunn Monty immediately pointed to the document in Finn’s hand.
Finn quickly opened the document, which was bound to his family crest. Once he opened the document, the sound of something similar to a personal intelligence device came out. Finn was proficient in using this device. After it listed his inheritance, Finn saw the description of his inheritance.
The description in the document was grand but after reading it, it boiled down to one sentence: an area with its center as the Sun and a radius of 10 billion kilometers. This total area sounds enormous but the distance from the Sun to Pluto is around 6 billion kilometers, bluntly put, it is merely one Solar System.
After reading about his territory, although he had already guessed it, Finn still felt a bit disappointed. Even if it was an inheritance, couldn’t they have left a bit more? After all, he was the most influential nine-star royal in the entire Galactic Federation. However, it reminded him of the historical Flames Nation, where dynasties like the East Dynasty posthumously conferred titles to historical figures like Brandon White from thousands of years ago.
These titles sounded important but were actually useless. The title, ‘the only nine-star royal’, sounds impressive but Finn wasn’t fooled. Judging from the attitude of the Inspection Bureau staff and the people handling his property inheritance today, not forgetting the older man’s attitude, Finn knew that the ‘nine-star royal’… was probably just a pleasant-sounding title.
