Super Soldier in the City-Chapter 2180 - 2244: Feeding Water
"It’s a man’s issue, let men handle it. What’s a woman doing here, go on, watch from the side." Li Yifei said as he gently pushed Wu Shuwei, who automatically moved aside, forgetting what she wanted to say.
Li Yifei then turned around, standing bare-bottomed in front of the black-robed man.
The black-robed man was slightly startled; he didn’t expect this Easterner to stand up at this moment. This palm strike made him suffer a bit as he shook his hand and looked at Li Yifei, saying, "You can still fight?"
"Why can’t I fight?" Li Yifei stood broadly with his legs apart, rotating his neck and making cracking sounds. Wu Shuwei looked at him, quickly turning her head, muttering about his shamelessness but soon sneakily turned back due to her worries about Li Yifei’s safety.
His physique is really good... Wu Shuwei was distracted.
Meanwhile, Li Yifei had already started fighting the black-robed man, boldly using Innate Vital Energy. Naturally, he quickly gained the upper hand. The True Qi Blade formed from Innate Vital Energy was several times more powerful than the True Qi Blade formed by his own True Qi, bringing different pressure to the black-robed man.
After several blades, Li Yifei had already slashed through the robe of the black-robed man.
"Come on, aren’t you supposed to be quite powerful!" Li Yifei shouted at the opponent, and the black-robed man retreated continuously, secretly shocked. He considered other strategies, but whether it was mental control or the previous sneak attack with the black robe to trap the opponent, none of these tactics worked on Li Yifei suddenly. Had the opponent been pretending to be weak all along?
Li Yifei was unaware of the opponent’s suspicions. Otherwise, he might have said, "Weak my ass, I’ve been forced to come to this!"
Another round of fierce and quick exchanges ensued. After breaking two True Qi Blades formed from Innate Vital Energy, Li Yifei finally used another pair of True Qi Blades to knock the black-robed man to the ground, but the opponent wasn’t dead, just injured.
The robe was damaged too. Li Yifei pressed a blade against the opponent’s neck, using another blade to lift the opponent’s hat, revealing that the man was a Caucasian, not African, just with slightly dark skin.
"Please... don’t kill me," said the black-robed man, his face pale. One arm had been slashed by Li Yifei, causing him to grimace in pain.
"How long do such pursuits usually last?" Li Yifei asked coldly.
The black-robed man replied, "There shouldn’t be any more. The closest people have already rushed over; others might think the route is too far and won’t come. Most importantly... there aren’t many like us strong ones on this continent!"
"And you consider yourself a strong one?" Li Yifei said disdainfully.
"I’m indeed not considered one; you’re way stronger than us!" The black-robed man sighed.
"Haha, sweet words won’t save you. If you need to be killed, you’ll be killed." Li Yifei finally breathed a sigh of relief, knowing no others were likely coming.
At this moment, the black-robed man suddenly changed expression, attempting to rush at Li Yifei.
"Clang!" Li Yifei retracted the blade, and the black-robed man’s head was cut off by him. The two True Qi Blades shattered, and Li Yifei sighed in relief. Although they weren’t strong, he had to take the three consecutive enemies seriously, and it was exhausting.
Feeling his body sway, Li Yifei realized he was mentally and physically tired. He turned to see Wu Shuwei running over, raised his hand, beckoning her, and said, "Come, support me a bit; I might be exhausted."
"Okay!" Wu Shuwei, despite Li Yifei being undressed and seeing things she shouldn’t, hurriedly supported Li Yifei with her body. She realized Li Yifei’s body was quite heavy but gritted her teeth to support him. Leaving the area, she eased him into sitting down.
"Phew. I may faint for a while, but don’t worry; I need to heal. During this time, I might need you to protect!" Li Yifei weakly said, sitting laboriously but needing to do so. After speaking, he immediately began meditating to recover.
Wu Shuwei looked at the weak Li Yifei, nodded firmly, and whispered, "Now I’ll start protecting you."
They were by the lakeside, where not only alligators but many wild animals lurked. Fortunately, several previous battles had scared the animals away, but now, with the fighting stopped, these creatures might soon return curiously, especially drawn by the scent of flesh, attracting predators like alligators, wild dogs, even lions, and leopards. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Wu Shuwei picked up that stick, gripping it, and despite the fear, she collected the headless black-robed man’s robe, using it to roughly cover Li Yifei’s body, shielding some parts.
This healing process lasted several hours, with the sky about to lighten. Wu Shuwei remained awake, persevering with shear willpower, though she was tired too. The day of shock and fear tortured her physically and mentally, but seeing Li Yifei endure so much for her sake, how could she possibly complain?
The calls and roars of various animals make it feel like we’re completely in the wild, which is quite frightening.
"You must be okay, if anything happens to you, I’ll be unable to face the women and children in your family!" Wu Shuwei muttered occasionally to keep herself awake, though she could only repeat these words.
After sneezing a few times in the past two days, Wu Shuwei rubbed her nose and came to Li Yifei’s side, suddenly making a bold decision. She had been sitting slightly behind Li Yifei, but now she supported herself with her hands and moved little by little to the front. Her small head leaned in, and Wu Shuwei quickly saw some things.
"Not dead!" Wu Shuwei’s eyes widened, confirming that Li Yifei was indeed alive. Her method was simple—she looked at Li Yifei’s crotch, because he was sitting cross-legged, so a certain area was defiantly upright in the morning, full of youthful vigor.
However, how could it be so large? Wu Shuwei furrowed her eyebrows, seeming a bit afraid, not knowing how the women in his family managed to endure something so intimidating.
Wu Shuwei was at an age where she’d surely know something. She hadn’t eaten pork, but she’d seen pigs run, so she was taken aback by Li Yifei’s member, even rendered somewhat speechless.
Clutching her heart which was pounding wildly, Wu Shuwei quickly returned to her previous position, but her mind was still occupied by the earlier image.
How could it be like this—should have known, wouldn’t have used this method. Wu Shuwei suddenly found herself wide awake, yet feeling a bit resentful, blaming that big scoundrel for causing her mind to wander.
Li Yifei wasn’t aware of any of this. His injury was not serious, but his True Qi was depleted, and he was physically exhausted, leading to some serious fatigue. He originally thought he could recuperate with some cultivation, but then found his entire arm had turned black, prompting him to hurriedly seek a solution.
Setting aside any other effects, having an entire black hand doesn’t look good.
If only he had waited to kill that man in the black robe later, could have had him explain.
Thus, his cultivation session extended until noon; Li Yifei was still meditating under the scorching sun. Wu Shuwei picked a few leaves and held them up to shield Li Yifei from the sun, while she had a leaf on her own head
Having gone nearly twenty hours without food, water, or sleep, Wu Shuwei felt exhausted and thirsty but wouldn’t sit down. It wasn’t until an hour later that Li Yifei opened his eyes, glanced at his hand, and saw the blackness spreading already to his wrist.
"You’re awake, how are you feeling?" Wu Shuwei asked hurriedly upon seeing Li Yifei move, though her voice was hoarse and the tone weak. Li Yifei quickly raised his head, noticing Wu Shuwei’s posture, he suddenly felt moved. Just as he was about to speak, Wu Shuwei suddenly closed her eyes, her body swayed, and she collapsed backward.
Li Yifei quickly got up to catch her, gently laying Wu Shuwei down. Upon examination, he found her dehydrated and suffering from heatstroke, so he began treatment promptly. After the whole night’s rest, his body had recovered substantially, enough to handle one or two more people.
Li Yifei procured some water, and fed Wu Shuwei some through mouth-to-mouth transfer. He also caught a rabbit, processed it by the lake, and began roasting it. As for making fire, it’s a task too easy for him.
Two more hours passed; the sun was at its peak. Li Yifei cradled Wu Shuwei and brought her under a tree for shade. He consumed half of the roasted rabbit, leaving four legs and the breast meat for Wu Shuwei.
Li Yifei had a black robe tied around his waist, covering part of his body to avoid the embarrassment of running around naked. Before he tied the robe, he did consider that Wu Shuwei might have seen him entirely, perhaps even played with him, but such thoughts must be avoided—thinking could lead to trouble...
When Wu Shuwei awoke, she saw Li Yifei heating some water in a cleaned bottle over the fire, waiting for it to cool for Wu Shuwei to wake up.
"Awake, how are you feeling?" Li Yifei asked with a smile.
Wu Shuwei licked her lips, surprisingly not feeling thirsty, but feeling somewhat puzzled. She saw Li Yifei also licking his lips and understood immediately, unable to reproach him, simply saying, "Thanks."
"I should thank you for looking after me last night."
"Last night you saved me, otherwise I..."
"If we keep talking like this, it will never end." Li Yifei chuckled.
"I’m feeling much better!" Wu Shuwei, silent for a moment, was about to use her tongue to lick her lips but stopped, recalling how Li Yifei fed her water. She stopped her action hurriedly, hearing a rustling noise nearby, and saw Li Yifei putting some leaves beside her. The strong aroma of meat reached her, and Wu Shuwei immediately felt hungry.
"Roasted a rabbit, if you have an appetite, eat quickly. Rest after eating to regain strength, then we can move on."
