Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution-Chapter 647 Dual Perfection of Life Base
"Have you ever heard of the phrase 'an inadvertent mistake'?" Lin Shen said while having breakfast.
"I've read more books than you, of course I have heard of it. What does it have to do with your blade technique?" Wuxin retorted.
"It seems that you read for quantity over quality, not even knowing what 'an inadvertent mistake' means," Lin Shen said as he wiped the congee from the corner of his mouth with an air of composure.
"So you're the erudite one, then tell me, what does it mean?" Tian Xin scoffed coldly.
"As your elder, I'll teach you today. The so-called inadvertent mistake means, I actually didn't intend to kill you. But you're so useless that merely the force of my defense affected you. Little Tian Xin, you were done for just like that—it's not my fault, only yours for being useless. That's called an 'inadvertent mistake'," Lin Shen said with a smile.
"What a 'noble inadvertent mistake'. Let's give it a try, I want to see how you plan to 'finish me off'." Tian Xin, infuriated, immediately stood up, ready to fight Lin Shen to the death.
"Why so agitated? Look, you've even scared your little mystical creature. Is it still at the Steel Level?" Lin Shen looked at the Steel Poison Bee that Tian Xin had carefully placed on the table and said.
"What's the rush? With such a mystical creature, advancing is bound to be very slow." Tian Xin sat back down; he didn't truly want to fight Lin Shen, he just couldn't stand losing face.
"Does Tie know about this mystical creature?" Lin Shen beat around the bush.
If Tie really is the reincarnation of The Ancient Realm King who failed to restore his past life, he should know what was in the chest, right? Even if he had forgotten, hearing about this matter might jog some memory.
"My second brother is much more reliable than you. He wouldn't blabber nonsense. He recognized the extraordinariness of this beast at first glance and told me to take good care of it," Tian Xin said proudly.
"Take good care of it," Lin Shen said as he finished his meal and got ready to leave.
"Are you planning to go through Dual Nirvana?" Tian Xin suddenly called out to him.
"Yes, that's the plan," Lin Shen stopped in his tracks.
"My father isn't someone who meets with just anybody. You'll have to wait if you want to see him," Tian Xin said with a hint of arrogance.
"I can wait, any time is fine," Lin Shen said with a smile.
"Then keep waiting. When my father has time to meet you, I'll let you know." Tian Xin felt rather uninterested in Lin Shen's attitude.
After leaving the Paradise Palace, Lin Shen returned to his room and took out his mechanical watch to teleport to the Mysterious Planet.
He wanted to visit the Golden Buddha Temple and use the pool there to advance his Double Life Base to Tenth Turn, making the final preparations for Nirvana.
When Lin Shen teleported to the Mysterious Planet, he had calculated the time to arrive during the day.
Unfortunately, his location was not the place he had visited before; he had to try his luck finding the Golden Buddha Temple.
Luckily, his luck wasn't bad. After flying for a few hours, he saw a familiar temple, which helped him figure out the direction of the Golden Buddha Temple and he hurried towards it.
Upon arrival at the Golden Buddha Temple, Master Chao Du seemed to have expected Lin Shen's return and did not show any surprise, welcoming him into the temple.
Lin Shen explained the purpose of his visit and handed over some daily necessities he had brought with him.
Master Chao Du didn't stand on ceremony, accepting Lin Shen's items and allowing him to cultivate in the yard where the Buddha Fruit Tree was located.
Lin Shen didn't enter the water; merely remaining in the yard was enough for the pure energy emanating from the pool to advance his Life Base to Tenth Turn in not much time.
Having nothing else to do, Lin Shen pulled out the Go board he had brought and played the game with Master Chao Du.
Master Chao Du didn't know the rules of Go. After Lin Shen explained them to him, they only played a few games before Lin Shen was completely out of his league.
"I'm done, you're too strong." After being thoroughly defeated by Master Chao Du once again, Lin Shen really wasn't in the mood to continue playing.
Master Chao Du smiled, "I have a little trinket here, take a look and see if you're interested."
"What trinket?" Lin Shen was immediately excited.
"Wait here, I'll go get it." Master Chao Du left the courtyard and soon came back with a wooden plate, holding some objects on it.
"Did you carve these?" Lin Shen saw many intricately carved wooden figurines in different postures on the plate.
These carvings were all of a little monk, each in different poses, some reading, some sweeping, some carrying water, some chanting.
Each one was lifelike, looking very adorable.
"I carved these from branches of the Buddha Fruit Tree during my leisure time," Master Chao Du said as he picked up an unfinished puppet and started to carve it slowly with a thinly shaved piece of wood.
"These little monks you're carving, are they you when you were young?" Lin Shen looked at the figurines, then at Master Chao Du, feeling they bore some resemblance.
"I had never seen anyone else before, so I could only carve myself," Master Chao Du said.
"They are really well-carved." Lin Shen suddenly had a thought and asked eagerly, "Master, those two people you saw before, can you carve their likenesses?"
"You mean them? I have carved them before, if you want to see, I'll bring them to you," Master Chao Du said, filling Lin Shen with boundless joy.

"I'd appreciate that, Master," Lin Shen said, not expecting such a find.
Master Chao Du smiled and said nothing more, turned, and left the courtyard, only to return shortly after with two carved figurines.
Lin Shen took a look, and one of them was indeed Tie.
Master Chao Du's carving skills were extraordinary, having captured Tie's likeness almost perfectly, even portraying his cool demeanor as if it were life itself.

Lin Shen turned to the other figurine, which made Lin Shen feel somewhat unfamiliar.
Just as Master Chao Du said, this person also had a tall and robust stature, not much less than Tie's.
But unlike Tie's somewhat somber and cool temperament, this man looked spirited and carefree, completely different from Tie's demeanor.
Lin Shen studied this person's face, finding it somewhat familiar. He used his communicator to look at himself and then at the face of the figurine, noticing they did have some similarity, no wonder Master Chao Du said they looked somewhat alike.
Although this person did not resemble Lin Xiangdong as much, their facial features were closer to his than those of his third brother and the others, sharing three to four points of likeness.
Unfortunately, Lin Shen truly couldn't remember what his second brother looked like, nor did he know whether this person might be his second brother.
He used his communicator to take a picture of the figurine, planning to show it to his older sister when he got back, as he always felt that Tie's appearance was too different from theirs to likely be his second brother.
In comparison, the person carved into this wooden figurine seemed more probable.
Lin Shen stayed at the Golden Buddha Temple for a little more than two days, during which time his Double Life Base achieved the Tenth Turn, reaching dual completion.
The Contrarian, apart from an increase in attributes, had no other changes, whereas the Inheritance Fan's Fan Dance now had ten styles.
The ninth style "Fall" and the tenth style "Fan" were both auxiliary types of skills as well.
