Summoned and Unwanted-Chapter 755 - Ester’s prowess is made public
755 Ester’s prowess is made public
In the past few days, apart from refining her dancing to be used for combat and practicing the combined use of sigils and sigil tattoos, Ester practiced with wind sigils in the hope of recreating sword pull.
After hours of trial and error, Ester managed to grasp the concept of linking the wind created by wind sigil like a thread. She was excited to feel a faint link between her hand and the sword Elsir being a few inches away from her hand.
The hours turned into nearly entire days. Ester spent the past two days training to attach a link to her sword and pull it with a tug. Regardless of her success in her progress, the tug was not potent enough to be used for combat.
When Ester focuses and manages to link her wind with a sword, she changes the direction of the wind from forward to backward. The sword being pulled would move to Ester quickly, but it would have no force in it.
Thus, Ester could not fight like Mimi and make her swords move in the air and attack. The sword being pulled would, at most, inflict a small stab wound. Against a large swole gladiator like Bloody, it would be similar to a bee sting.
Ester had enough practice to pull the two blades to her, yet they didn’t budge an inch, as if all the training she had done for this day had become useless.
Bloody was heading her way, yet Ester had no way to defend herself. The earth sigils and earth tattoos could save her from a hit or two, but because there was too much of a disparity between their power levels, the mana used to save Ester’s life would be equivalent to the disparity of their power.
Ester wasn’t confident in being able to continue fighting after using a large percentage of her mana. She had no choice by to repeat what she did. She had no choice but to become a glass cannon in order to have a chance of winning. Or so she hoped.
Ester tried to get up, but after slamming and rolling on the ground, one of her legs was more injured than the other. Her leg was numb, and she couldn’t put strength into it to stand up promptly.
.....
“Move!” She exclaimed while hitting her leg, hoping for the numbness to lessen.
Bloody snickered at Ester because she couldn’t stand up. He found it amusing to see his opponent hitting her leg to move.
The yellow blood on his sword began to bubble as if it was boiling. It was obvious he was ready to finish Ester.
Luciano stood up. Watching Ester in danger caused his face to contort with anger. His eyes glaring at Bloody barely blinked, not to miss a second.
Murderous intent leaked from his body. The king, Anna, and Bilka started to suffer from the pressure of dread. Even though they knew Luciano was not going to harm them, their body shivered as an indication of danger.
“Trust in them! They can protect their own family without your help. Reconsider about interfering, dying from the curse, and possibly starting a war from your death.” Karta exclaimed, hoping to persuade him by providing him a reason to calm down.
While Karta spoke, she used her intent to counter and lessen the pressure of dread from the king, Anna, and Bilka. They were able to breathe easier, and their body shiver less.
*Gulp* “Please, uncle sage... don’t go inside... ” Anna begged with a wavering voice and trembling lips.
“My granddaughter can not die. She has a great and important future ahead of her.” Luciano took a step forward. “I should have stopped her from participating...”
“Ahem. And then what?” The king questioned while regaining control over his shivering body.
“My granddaughter would not be suffering so much, and she would not be in danger.”
*Tsk* “Another word to describe life is survival of the fittest. We breathe to survive by taking air. We consume to survive by taking life. We fight by absorbing mana.” Vlad said out of annoyance.
Vlad moved his head and pointed his head at the seat behind Luciano. “I tried to save my daughter from the man she considered her fated one. She hated me for attempting to kill him.”
“That is why I asked you the previous question.” The king said. He looked at Anna and continued, “As a father, I try to do my best for my daughter’s happiness. Also, no parent or relative would want to see one of their family members suffer or encounter danger.”
Luciano noticed Vincent was looking at Ester. He also saw Lupa and Mimi glancing at Ester. They saw Ester being in a predicament. He hoped they could try to help, yet he didn’t know how quickly they could act or if their opponents would allow them to act.
Luciano’s anxiety was partially comforted. He kept his eyes peeled to see if and how the three people were going to save his granddaughter.
“Ladies and gentlemen! Is this the time for Ester Lionheart to lose? Can she stand up after slamming to the ground hard? Or will the situation turn?”
Everyone who knew Ester started cheering for her to move. It first started with around five people shouting for her to get up. Shortly, over sixty people cheered for Ester to stand up.
These people were members of Ester’s family, the residents of the mansion, the BABBO team, a couple of F Rankers, and a couple of soldiers Vincent sponsored and their families.
On the Lionheart team’s seating were the members of the Griffinheart, Sunrise, Reddawn, Graymoon, and Ponalis noble families. Bobstrider Milloween was sitting in the back alone as he wanted to stay seated in the middle for perfect symmetry.
These nobles didn’t cheer out loud, but they cheered for Ester to get up in their thoughts. They didn’t want the Lionheart family to host a funeral after the judgment by combat ended.
Ester stopped trying to get up. After experiencing fighting against so my overwhelming opponents, Ester knew she was not going to stand up before Bloody’s attack reached her.
Ester clenched her teeth and glared at Bloody. She moved her legs to cross them. A moment later, mana and wind gathered around Ester in great quantity.
Wind sigils shone brightly at the back of her hands. The collecting wind took the shape of a ball. The ball of condensed wind grew large, far faster than before.
However, this was a dangerous maneuver for Ester. She was forcing all her mana to be used and forcing all the wind she could gather. This was her last move before she would suffer from mana fatigue and be forced to stop fighting.
Bloody raised his sword to swing it at Ester. The ground lightly shook before a couple of small vines emerged from the ground. These vines were coated with various nondeadly poison types.
*Tsk* Bloody stopped his arm mid-swing. He kicked and ripped the vines attached to his large swole calves. The color of his skin looked a little bit purple, yet it didn’t seem to be doing much.
Thanks to Zero’s intervention, the wind balls above her palms had grown to the size of a tennis ball. This meant the audience could see Ester use her sigil class without suffering from the mana handled by her hands as if she was immune to her own magic. Please visit f𝙧𝒆𝚎𝘸e𝚋𝓷o𝘷𝚎𝒍. co𝑚
“Ladies and gentlemen! Do I see correctly? Is Ester Lionheart not injured by the spells of her sigil mage class? Her arms are only injured by the fall she had instead of magic damage.”
The commentator looked at Darwin. With a curious expression and an excited tone, he questioned as if making a request, “Marquis Darwin Griffinheart, can we know what your eyes see? Does the Marquis perhaps if Ester Lionheart is using some kind of protective buff or protective artifact?”
Darwin glanced at the Lionheart team’s side. He noticed Lilith nod, showing she accepted whatever the response was going to be.
“Ester Lionheart is not an ordinary sigil mage. In fact, she is a sigil master.” Darwin vaguely responded.
“Sigil master? I have never heard of such a class before...” The commentator opened his eyes wide. “Wait! D-does that mean Ester Lionheart has awakened advanced the sigil mage class?”
“Hehe.” Darwin chuckled with the sound extender letting everyone know the commentator’s guess was in the right direction.
“L-ladies and gentlemen! In! In front of us is a sigil mage who can not suffer damage from their magic! The fourth powerful sigil mage in the entire world has appeared in the Lionheart family!”
The audience became loud. Most of the words they exclaimed were, “What?” “How?” “Impossible!” while keenly staring at Ester to see her in action.
Ester stopped gritting her teeth and shouted, “Burst Forth!” before shooting the two balls of condensed wind with great force.
Bloody raised his guard to block with his yellow, bloody shield. A moment later, he swung his arm to parry the two small balls.
However, size does not matter. Their quality was all it mattered.
The blood around the shield scattered, and an unbelievable sight of sparks from the shield being grinded to dust captivated all gazes looking at their fight.
After the shield could not block the balls of wind anymore, Bloody’s arm was shredded as if he had placed his arm in a grinder.
While Bloody was displaying a gory scene, Vincent reached Bloody. He threw a powerful punch filled with one charge of condensed mutated mana to Bloody’s side, pushing him out of the way.
From the opposite side appeared a white furry foot in mid-air.
