299 The morning of a fresh start

“Wow! I want to ride one.” Leah gasped in awe at the flying fabric with Teresa on it.

“It looks like an invisible horse. ” Clara said. 𝒇𝔯e𝚎𝘄𝑒𝑏𝙣𝑜𝚟𝗲𝑙.c𝘰𝚖

“Missis angel looks like a fairy now. ” Beth added.

Leonis looked at the three little girls and felt the same way his wife felt. “Next time, I will give you girls a ride. I promise.” He said with a smile.

“Thank you, mister.” The three of them thanked with a cute beaming smile. It almost gave Leonis and Teresa diabetes with their cuteness.

And like that, the two heads of the Lionheart family, Leonis the acting head in the eyes of the people and Teresa, the acting head in the eyes of the business partners, were booked to visit not only for their daughter’s sake but for the three little girls sake as well.

A while later, Lilith said goodbye to her parents and embraced them for a couple of seconds before her new life began. Teresa and Leonis entered the carriage and waved at their daughter before the carriage started moving.

“You girls have a nice chat. I am going to bring Plow, Tula, Olive, and Lian. ” Vincent turned his head and told Maid Xu, “You should go to sleep since I can see your eyes fighting to stay awake. You have done a lot, and I can see how valuable you are. Leave Lilith with us and recharge your energy. ”

Vincent didn’t give Maid Xu time for a response. He rushed next to the butler on the coachman’s seat about to move the carriage and asked, “Could you give me a ride to the gate, my friend?”

“Understood, my lord. This servant shall obey.” The butler replied respectfully.

Vincent waved his hand, climbed a small three-step stair, and sat on the wide coachman’s seat.

The twins opened the gate for the carriage to exit. Vincent jumped off the carriage when it was waiting for the gate to open. “See you soon.” He said while waving his hand.

“I will come to see my daughter and not you. ” Leonis grumbled as he saw Vincent become distant.

“I understand dear, but she is in safe hands. Only the many lovers part irks me. However, Lilith looked happy and appreciated. Let’s see if she will remain happy in the next six days.” Teresa said her thoughts.

*Sigh* Leonis sighed and looked out the small back window once again and saw Vincent and the twins waving their arms at them.

Vincent lowered his arms.

*Phew~* “The parents left. I can relax now.” Vincent said. He looked somewhat happy that he didn’t need to continue acting respectfully.

Vincent could act casual and freely now. He even asked strict Maid Xu to go to sleep. She is a person who likes to follow the rules and standards. It would allow everyone to act how they please without someone nagging them to show good manners.

“Teacher. Is it how we heard? Will we live here? Is teacher really going to become a noble soon?” Lenn asked immediately.

“Yes, teacher. Will we be able to boast that our teacher is noble and train here?” Renn continued. He sounded enthusiastic, and both brothers looked proud when looking at Vincent.

“Yes, silly little brothers, hehe. Big brother Vincent is the best, hehe.” Tula giggled. She looked at both Olive and Lian and continued, “Isn’t big brother Vincent the best?”

Both Olive and Lian nodded.

“Vincent is kind.” Olive replied while Lian excitedly exclaimed, “Cool and awesome too!”

*Pho* “Plow this Vincent is the best too.” *Pho* Plow said in a quiet, muffled voice.

Eliara and Fliara felt they didn’t have the right to interrupt what it looked like a pleasant and heartwarming chat. Both looked and each other and decided to talk with Vincent at a later time, but they didn’t need to wait as Vincent turned his gaze on them next.

“Have the two of you decided on what to do next? You won’t be in danger now, so you two can continue being adventurers, but you can work here if you want as well...” Vincent embarrassingly scratched his cheek and continued, “Although I don’t have much money at the moment.”

Both the half-sisters smiled as a response. It appeared their minds were already with the thought of staying.

“We don’t need money if we are paid with a good clean room to stay in and food at your expense. We sisters have discussed that being adventurers is dangerous, as we have experienced thus far. However, staying here to guard the property of someone who saved our lives from an unimaginable fate would hit two birds with one stone. Safty and a place to live.” Fliara said.

“We can also take simple low-rank quests for pocket change in our free time. Furthermore, we trust our righteous savior not to betray us after becoming noble. We determined you aren’t a corrupt and greedy man.” Eliara said.

*Pho* “Vincent Vincent. Can you hold Plow?” Plow asked with a quiet, muffled voice. She was in between Tula’s ample chest and asked to be saved.

“But I like holding Plow. She is soft and cute.” Tula countered.

“Could you be kind and respectful and respect Plow’s wishes? Would you like it if your mother hugged you for about half a day every day? Additionally, you and your family are going to live here. You can see Plow every day.” Vincent tried his best not to hurt the innocent child-like Tula’s heart.

“Then it’s confirmed? We are going to live here.” Both Lenn and Renn asked at the same time. They looked surprised and happy to live in a noble’s property and see the two beauties near them, possibly every day.

“Okay...” Tula murmured. She looked slightly unhappy but, she quickly raised a smile when Plow said, “Tula Tula. We play hide and seek later.” *Pho*

Vincent looked at the twins and said, “Yes, your mother will inform you two of the details later. Additionally, I was planning to help you transport any belongings you wish to bring here.”

Vincent looked at the half-sisters next and asked, “Do you have any belongings you need to carry?”

“No, we didn’t have much other than a few sets of clothes and shoes that we brought with us already. ” Fliara answered.

“We learned our lesson the first time. We learned how to live a minimalist life. ” Eliara added.

Lenn and Renn frowned. They became worried the half-sisters experienced a horrible thing in their past. The twins didn’t know how Vincent saved Eliara and Fliara yet.

“I will help in any way I can.” Renn boldly said first.

“Me too! I want to help!” Lenn quickly exclaimed not to lose to his brother’s statement.

Both Eliara and Fliara chuckled. The half-sisters noticed the slightly blushed cheeks on the twins and understood immediately the two teenagers might be declaring their help to impress them.

Many men tried to ask in various manners the two similar-looking women for a date. However, only the future could tell if the twins could manage to express their feelings and make the two older women make a choice one day.

Vincent could feel the burn and decided it would be best to stop asking. He decided to let the flow of time and emotions run its course without interfering if possible.

“Can I come? Pretty please~” Olive asked. She looked pretty interested as her eyes sometimes glanced at the streets. Her eyes were sparkling to take a look around the nice-looking human-made buildings.

“Me too! I want to see human buildings! They look more awesome than caves!” Lian exclaimed. He looked pretty excited, mostly because he didn’t have time to look around as they hard to hurry and follow the impatient Lupa.

*Sigh* “This isn’t going to be a tour around the city, you know... but I think it can help the two of you understand how every person is different. No one is bad or good before you get to know them.” Vincent said in the end. He succumbed to their wanderlust excitement and decided to take them with him.

“Yey! We can go together and show you my room.” Tula became excited as well upon hearing how Olive and Lian could visit her home. She skipped like a little kid.

“I will go to bring my mommy. ” Tula said before dashing towards the mansion to bring her mother in a hurry.

“Vincent Vincent. Can Plow come too?” *Pho* Plow asked. She looked interested as well.

Vincent lifted Plow and placed her on his shoulders. “How do you like the seat?” He asked.

*Pho, Pho* Plow cutely barked cheerfully.

Vincent brushed Plow’s fur and looked around. The road made of stone tiles was wide enough for two carriages to pass side by side with no problem. The sidewalk on both sides was also spacious and on the other side were a couple of trees and a wooden bench here and there along the lamp poles.

The buildings on the other side ranged between one to two-story-tall. Furthermore, the buildings looked similar to the middle-class district, yet it didn’t look like there were and yards. They looked more like a room-type living area rather than privately owned homes.
