66 -66: Too Proactive

The karaoke room was a big one, and Peter Brown’s singing was beautiful.

The girls all had stars in their eyes as they listened; they never expected a farmer to be such a man of wealth and talent, singing even better than some famous singers.

Because of this, the girls looked up to Peter even more.

They saw him as their ideal Prince Charming – rich and fun to be around.

Peter himself was enjoying singing.

He discovered a new aspect to it – singing is actually a way to use his Divine Sense Control Ability.

If he infused his spiritual power into his singing, he could control the emotions of those who listened.

Though Peter knew that his spiritual power was still weak, he believed that through practice, he could develop it further in this area.

He decided he needed to sing more often because it would only do him good.

After singing a few songs and listening to others sing, Peter handed the microphone to a man and walked over to sit down.

“Peter, that was amazing!

You said you couldn’t sing, but if this is your version of being bad, what are we supposed to do?” Sophia Gibson shook her head in disbelief, realizing she was understanding her old classmate less and less.

“Peter, I toast to you.

Let’s drink up!”

A female classmate came over, lifting her glass for Peter to drink the wine in it.

Peter didn’t hesitate and downed the wine in his glass.

“Come, let me invite you to dance.”

Seeing Peter finish his wine, the girl student grabbed his hand and led him to the dance floor.

Today, Peter was on a roll, and the two began dancing together.

Peter wasn’t afraid of dancing anymore, and his moves were quite natural.

During the slow dance, the girl whispered, “My name is Harper Davis.

You probably don’t know my name, do you?”

“Of course I know your name.

You mentioned at the dinner table that you’re only nineteen and a half.”

“Ah, you actually remember!”

“Peter, I like you!”

Harper Davis suddenly looked up at Peter.

“Ah!”

“Dance, dance!”

Peter quickly replied.

“Do you like me or not?”

That was a very direct question!

Ever since Peter entered the prison when he was seventeen, he had never come across such a straightforward inquiry.

It made him break out in a cold sweat.

“I like you, I like you,” Peter had to reply.

“Really?

How about I be your girlfriend?”

Her question was even more direct.

Peter glanced at Sophia, who was looking at him, and hurriedly said, “I’m sorry, I already have a girlfriend.”

At this point, Peter wasn’t mentally prepared to accept a relationship, despite how beautiful the girl might be.

Moreover, Peter had some conservative ideas and believed that good things don’t come easily.

“I want to compete with your girlfriend!”

Harper Davis showed no signs of giving up.

Just then, another girl nearby loudly said to Peter, “Peter, dance the next song with me!”

Peter didn’t know what to do, so he quickly agreed, saying, “Alright.”

That girl’s interruption saved Peter from having to deal with Harper’s advances.

The music for their dance ended as well.

“Peter, let’s not go back.

Let’s dance this song.”

The girl who spoke earlier smiled at Peter.

Peter remembered her name was Rio Cooper, another beautiful girl with an even better body than Harper Davis.

She was tall and had dimples that appeared when she laughed.

Everyone moved to the dance floor, and Rio proved to be a great dancer.

Peter felt completely relaxed dancing with her.

At that moment, Rio whispered, “I heard what Harper said to you.

So, who do you think is prettier, her or me?”

“Both of you are great.”

“Humph, Peter, I’m sure you know that I have better conditions.”

Peter never expected this girl to be so bold.

It startled him so much that he lost his composure and messed up his dance steps.

He then accidentally stepped on Rio’s foot.

“Ah!”

Rio didn’t expect Peter’s foot to be so heavy and cried out in pain.

Embarrassed, Peter quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

Fluttering her eyes at Peter, Rio said, “You crushed my foot.

You have to take responsibility.”

Sophia had been watching the situation and felt a pang of jealousy.

She shouted, “Peter, if you can’t dance, come back and drink.”

Her voice had a hint of annoyance.

Peter, who was worrying about his female classmates’ enthusiasm, quickly let go of Rio and went back to the sofa to sit down.

After the initial shock, Peter quickly grasped the situation.

These girls weren’t so pure-hearted.

When he was a farmer, they hadn’t been so enthusiastic about him.

Now that he had money, they were.

These women were useless to him.

Once he understood the situation, Peter knew he had to be cautious.

There was no need to be tied down so quickly by anyone.

So, he spent most of his time learning to sing and only danced with Sophia and Maisy Spencer.

Although several girls tried to seduce Peter, Sophia and Maisy seemed to have an unspoken agreement and guarded him closely.

This left the other girls frustrated because they couldn’t find an opportunity to be alone with Peter.
