She was displeased, even angry, because despite knowing what they were saying was reasonable, she wanted to go ahead and scan him to see if he was lying or not. If it wasn’t already enough to frustrate and make her angry, she even hoped he wasn’t lying.

Isabelle finally withdrew her hand and watched as Max transformed into a golden cocoon and fell to the ground.

The trio fixed their gazes on it and waited.

"Is something wrong with the talisman?" Ryuu muttered, but neither Mike nor Isabelle responded, their gazes fixed on the cocoon.

A crack appeared on the cocoon, a sign that he was perfectly sealed.

Even though they felt confused as to why it took so much time because Max surely wasn’t such a high level threat otherwise Isabelle wouldn’t have been able to subdue him, let alone with the ease she did, they sighed in relief.
