Stronger from Earth-Chapter 92: Mo Wen’s Return Date (Part 2)
(Here’s an extra Chapter for the squad leader "Little Lamb Eating Soybeans." This is the third update today, asking for recommendation votes.)
In the laboratory, Lin Cheng was busy and flustered, her hair messy, seemingly neglected for quite some time. It’s apparent she greeted her brother with this look.
When she saw Wang Xuan arrive, she sharply said, "Don’t say or look at anything."
In a rush, she dashed into the bathroom to tidy up her appearance and emerged ten minutes later looking completely refreshed.
Her lustrous hair cascaded straight down her waist, her long legs stark and poised, paired with a red outfit, she was indeed strikingly beautiful, exuding charm.
"What brings you here?" Lin Cheng happily asked, then furrowed her brow, "Did you run into my brother just now? He’s so candid and clumsy, he probably said something impolite again."
"He didn’t say much, we chatted a bit and he left." Wang Xuan didn’t want to put Lin Cheng in a difficult position.
"That’s good," Lin Cheng smiled.
Looking at Lin Cheng, Wang Xuan suddenly said, "I’m going to leave for a while. I might be gone for two or three months. You don’t have to worry if we don’t see each other for a while."
"Going away for two or three months? That long?" Lin Cheng was surprised. Although Wang Xuan often disappeared for ten days to half a month, two or three months was still quite rare.
"Be careful. Need to prepare anything?"
Wang Xuan shook his head, "Already prepared. I came here just to tell you."
The atmosphere was a bit silent. They found a place to sit and chat. Lin Cheng talked about the recent situations in the lab, like what difficulties had been encountered in the research, and any unexpected gains.
Wang Xuan mentioned some things about the Martial Arts Hall, like becoming an instructor and some amusing anecdotes about teaching young students kung fu.
They chatted for half an hour and had a delightful conversation.
Thinking about it, Wang Xuan eventually pulled out a share transfer contract and placed it in front of Lin Cheng. He wanted to return all the lab shares to her.
Looking at the contract, Lin Cheng’s face turned stiff, she tossed the contract back, her emotions inexplicably blocked.
"What do you mean, Wang Xuan?" Lin Cheng asked coldly.
"The lab was originally yours, Senior Sister. It’s just returning it to its rightful owner. I feel guilty holding onto these shares."
Lin Cheng stared at Wang Xuan, seemingly wanting to see through his thoughts, and said, "Are you trying to make things clear once and for all with me, bridge to bridge and road to road, never to see me again? Is that what you’re suggesting?"
This lab was one of the few ties between them. If Wang Xuan returned the shares, he probably wouldn’t visit again, and she would have no reason to invite him back.
The consecutive questions made Wang Xuan smile wryly. The senior sister’s reaction was a bit too intense. He explained, "I can’t guarantee I’ll come back this trip. I’ve left enough money for my family. If I die, there might be disputes over the lab shares, better to settle it now."
Lin Cheng’s expression softened a bit, "I don’t accept. If you’re gone, leave the shares to your family. I’ll distribute the dividends to them yearly and help you take care of them."
Wang Xuan seemed helpless, realizing the senior sister was adamant about not accepting the gifted shares. He didn’t see Lin Cheng smile until he retracted the contract.
"You always talk nonsense. Women eventually get married. You have a husband and still help take care of my family. People will inevitably gossip. Don’t you care about your reputation?" Wang Xuan said.
Lin Cheng said indifferently, "I never planned to get married, so no need to worry about that issue.
By the way, what exactly are you doing this time? It’s so risky. Why don’t you just not go?"
Wang Xuan shook his head, "It’s about the future of my cultivation. I have to go. Don’t worry, as long as I’m cautious, I can still come back."
"Then when will you come back?" Lin Cheng asked again.
"Maybe in a month, or three months, but not more than half a year."
"I’ll wait for you to come back."
"Okay, I’ll be careful."
They stood up, and Wang Xuan prepared to leave. Lin Cheng saw him off.
She couldn’t help but give Wang Xuan a hug at the door, "You must come back."
"Sure." Wang Xuan gently patted her back.
He walked away in big strides, leaving only her beautiful silhouette gazing after him.
Still thinking about earlier events, he soon walked several hundred meters when suddenly a bright light appeared before him. The glaring car headlights drew nearer.
A roaring sports car sped towards him. As Wang Xuan observed closely, he saw Ling Tian in the car and shook his head.
"Looks like you can’t let go of your grudges and couldn’t resist getting back at me." Wang Xuan understood how much young people valued face. Once their pride’s hurt, they impulsively retaliate.
Young people hate losing out and always seek to reclaim losses.
Watching the fast-approaching sports car, Wang Xuan wasn’t flustered. Such a collision, even a Skin Refining Realm cultivator could dodge. His reflexes were sufficient.
Ling Tian likely hoped Wang Xuan would be startled and dodge, allowing him to save a bit of face.
Even if colliding, based on Wang Xuan’s previously displayed physique strength, he would only end up in the hospital but not dead.
"Fine, I’ll spare you this time for your sister’s sake."
Wang Xuan leaped seven to eight meters high, easily reaching the height of a three-story building, leaving Ling Tian’s car whizzing past beneath him, posing no threat.
The strength of cultivators is beyond ordinary people’s reach; even in the Muscle Strengthening Realm, they possess formidable explosive power, with astonishing strength and speed.
Bone Refining cultivators can shatter stones, Blood Exchange cultivators withstand swords and guns — abilities ordinary people cannot possess. Dodging a mere vehicle collision is nothing.
The car ended several hundred meters away. Ling Tian whistled, provocatively watching Wang Xuan. Though his car couldn’t hit him, Wang Xuan was presumably startled, losing face.
Reclaiming his pride was crucial to him.
Wang Xuan found it amusing, thinking, is doing such childish things fun?
He walked away, unwilling to bother with this dumb youth. His time was precious, unlike Ling Tian’s idle existence; he had neither the time nor energy to get entangled.
Within seconds, the sound of the engine roared again behind him. Clearly, Ling Tian’s car started up, honked, and accelerated constantly.
The car behind him came at high speed again, and Ling Tian repeated his old trick.
"Such a foolish youth. Do you find it fun? Fine, I’ll play along with you." Wang Xuan grew annoyed.
The car’s speed increased, growing closer.
Thirty meters,
Ten meters,
Five meters,
Two meters.
In an instant, Wang Xuan moved. He swung his right arm high, raised it with strength, then forcefully smashed down, hitting the car’s hood.
The massive force descended terrifyingly fast, immediately bursting both front tires, and the front chassis audibly snapped apart.
Blocked by the immense force, the car’s inertia was enormous; under this inertia, its rear thrust forward, causing it to flip over.
The sports car lifted off, spinning two or three circles midair, before crashing down over twenty meters away on the road with a bang.
