STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 651: Fast revenge!
5th Zone, City-A
Red Moon Chamber
Jeremy Night was in his room. He had been watching over the reactions of the members. They were all praising the 48th team, but no one was telling the whole truth.
He had helped them as well, though he had expected this outcome. But he believed that rewards would be shared, so he decided to meet them once the commotion had settled down.
Next, he collected his thoughts and entered the practice room. Right now, his main goal was to become a Tier-3 Beast Tamer as soon as possible.
Time passed.
After the earlier commotion, everyone resumed their work. Leader Norman and the others decided not to share the reward with Jeremy Night.
But they chose not to tell him. Instead, they chose a random wilderness mission. They were going to do the wilderness mission next.
They didn't even tell Jeremy Night and left the organization for the mission. Leader Norman felt bad, but he wanted to have unity in the team. So, he chose not to talk about this matter.
Max, the other Tier-5 Beast Tamer, was observing Leader Norman. Only Leader Norman was having second thoughts about the reward.
The others were one-sided. Seeing that Leader Norman accepted the fact and was not thinking about sharing the reward, Max sighed in relief. He then shifted his attention to the mission.
A few days passed.
Jeremy Night came to look for the 48th team, but there was no sign of them. From the conversation happening around him, especially from the discussion of the staff, he was able to learn what had happened.
He didn't expect Team Leader Norman and the others to be doing a wilderness mission now.
They had departed that day. They had yet to come back. His eyes flashed with a sharp glint.
Jeremy Night thought that he was being cheated. They were supposed to give him his share. Yet, he received no call or message from Leader Norman.
He was not stupid. They had done such a high-profile mission; the city administration would have already given them their rewards.
But they were yet to give it to him. He was angry. Team Leader Norman and the others went back on their words.
When they drove him from that place, he didn't talk back against them. He left the shady street professionally that time.
Yet the 48th Beast Taming Team backstabbed him. Jeremy didn't know what to do next. His heart was boiling in anger.
He left the building in a hurry. The other members and staff noticed that something was wrong with Jeremy Night, but they didn't know what had happened.
Jeremy walked out of the building to breathe fresh air. He went to the back garden. When he came to that place, he saw there weren't many people in the back garden.
He came to the sitting area and sat down alone. His eyes were ice cold. His heart was boiling in anger. He couldn't believe that the 48th team dared to cheat him.
More importantly, he had trusted Leader Norman. That person had convinced him to take part in the mission.
Jeremy Night had thought he was able to impress them. Soon, he would get recognition from other teams. Yet the exact opposite happened.
His mood was worse. Senior Melinda was not here; otherwise, he would have told her. Then he thought of Head Harold.
He could tell this matter to Head Harold. Then he shook his head in disapproval. Basically, he had done this without his permission.
Head Harold would become angry at him. Despite his order and warning, he had participated in the mission.
So, Jeremy Night decided not to tell Head Harold about this matter. He would deal with this matter on his own.
He spent half an hour alone in the garden. He then relaxed. His mood was better than before. His anger was gone.
But he made up his mind that if he got an opportunity in the future, he would get his revenge. Then he went back to his room.
That night, the 48th team returned from the mission. Leader Norman and the others had completed the wilderness mission.
When they came to the lobby, they met with the staff and other members. They talked about the wilderness mission details. They submitted the report to the staff.
Next, they could get the reward for the mission as well. The team members were all happy. They forgot about Jeremy Night. The team happily discussed the mission before going back to their rooms.
The following day,
The death of four Skull Gang members became known to the other Skull Gang members and neighbors of the shady street.
Because the smell of corpses reached the neighbors, they were the first ones to break into the building. Then they saw the corpses lying on the ground.
The illegal gang groups living nearby recognized them.
There was a raid at the underground club a couple of days ago. The members of the Skull Gang were captured there.
They thought it could be the work of the team because the corpses were decayed. The timeline matched with the raid.
The city administration staff was notified about the matter. They sent people to take care of it. The news reached the backers and other organizations.
They were shocked. They were already angry with the Red Moon Chamber and the 48th Team members. They started to believe that while doing the mission, the team had killed their members as well.
They soon found out that the timing of their members' deaths matched with them. Not only that, but they didn't find any other clues from the spot.
The deaths of their four members were clean. There was no sign of struggle or other things. There was no sign of Beast Taming fights as well.
It showed that the gang members died without a struggle.
Meanwhile,
The news reached the ears of the Red Moon Chamber members, staff, and higher-ups. Even the team leader and members of the 48th team heard this matter as well.
But the team members thought this news was absurd. Someone was falsely accusing them. They never killed anyone.
They had captured the members and handed them over to the city administration.
