STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 632: Party Street
5th Zone, City-A
Gym Street
Melinda said, "The reason I brought you here is different. It may appear to be a place for bodybuilders."
"But this association is actually one of the underground organizations. Their members are involved in various crimes as well," she added.
Hearing that, Jeremy was dumbfounded. He had a good opinion of the gym association. But he didn’t expect to hear this shocking news.
No wonder she brought him here. He also felt glad that he came to know about it now. Otherwise, he would have looked for places to train without background knowledge.
Melinda noticed his reaction. She nodded her head and divulged further information.
"Like you, the founder of the association is said to have a body related talent. He is a Tier-8 Beast Tamer. Because of it, the City Governors are turning a blind eye to the organization," she said.
"So you need to be careful when coming across their members. Head Harold asked me to tell you about this," she added.
Jeremy Night was serious. The carelessness was gone. He grasped the information.
"Okay, I’ll take you to the next spot." After saying that, she drove the car again.
When they left the spot, the bodybuilders there shared the news with the association. It may have appeared that the bodybuilders were going about their business.
But they were actually paying attention to any new vehicles entering their street. Apart from the members, others rarely entered their territory.
So, the news about the flying vehicle intrigued them.
About 10 minutes later,
[Party Street]
Melinda brought Jeremy to another active area. Compared to Gym Street, the party street was a busy street.
The streets were flooded with people. There was no place for flying vehicles to be parked. The flying cabs were dropping off their customers in mid-air.
Jeremy used his eyesight to observe the place. The place was rather cheerful and carefree. It was not quite like Gym Street.
He could see various hawkers and stalls on the street. It was close to the Central Public Square. But here, the people seemed to be disorganized.
"What do you think?" Melinda asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy knew this was another underground organization.
"Is it an underground organization?" he asked.
Melinda smiled and said, "Yes, this place is filled with many party halls and entertainment facilities."
"It’s also run by an underground organization in the name of an association," she added.
"What’s it called?" Jeremy asked.
"The Entertainment Association," she replied.
She then drove the car and departed from the place. The hawkers below on the ground saw a flying vehicle leaving the place.
It was not a cab but a private vehicle. They shared the news with the higher-ups.
Jeremy Night was surprised. He didn’t expect her to leave abruptly.
"Senior, what happened?" he asked.
Melinda said, "The hawkers were not simple. They were keeping an eye on us."
Jeremy’s eyes flickered. At that time, he was observing the place as well. But he didn’t pay attention to the hawkers.
This was a lesson to him. He made up his mind to stay vigilant.
Next, he was curious about the next destination.
About 10 minutes later,
She brought him to residential areas where the buildings were congested. Seeing that, Jeremy was taken aback again.
He had thought City-A was a well-planned city. Then why was there such poor planning of residential areas here?
"It’s another dangerous place. More dangerous than the other two. You can find killers here. Unlike the other two places, the criminals here are unorganized. They don’t have an association or anything."
"But they are hired by big organizations and families to do killing jobs. There is a reason behind it. Most of the people here are from human settlements outside."
"They later joined the city, which resulted in the poor state of the residential areas," she explained the overall situation.
Hearing that, Jeremy understood. He had seen the human settlements as well. They were all poor compared to their cities.
He was not surprised knowing that human settlements were around the city.
Time went by,
She showed him around a few other important places before returning to the organization. She had a mission to do.
So, she couldn’t spend all day and night showing him around the remaining places. Her car landed in the parking area.
Both of them walked out. Melinda said, "I have shown you the important and dangerous places. You can explore the rest of the places on your own later."
Jeremy thanked her. Today, he had learnt many things about the city. The society here was complex. Both good and bad were mixed.
After entering the building, they parted ways. He went back to his room. He felt the gazes on his back as usual.
After entering the room, he locked the door. Then he changed his clothes and wore another outfit for training.
Then he entered the practice room and started practicing the blade move alone.
On the other hand, the staff and the members had all seen the newcomer and Melinda. Now, it was inevitable that they had to accept the new member.
They didn’t say anything. They continued with their work.
Time went by,
That evening, Jeremy wore a T-shirt and track pants before leaving the room.
He came down to the lobby to take a walk around the garden outside. He came across the staff and nodded to them.
The staff, for the first time, nodded at him as well. Jeremy was surprised inside. He started to think that they didn’t have any choice other than to accept him as their member.
Then he walked out of the building and started walking on the footpath. If it were the previous organization, Senior Sinag and Ada would have been there for him.
Now he was at the new place. He could only meet new people to form a network. Just as he was going towards the garden behind, his senses heightened all of a sudden.
Jeremy raised his head and looked at the sky. Something flew past at a terrifying speed through the clouds.
He couldn’t even see what it was. But the feeling was real. The clouds were scattered now.
