STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 160 : Rescue Successful
Wilderness:
The Two Teams were dumbfounded. They didn't expect to rescue people here. They were here to find the trace of the Tier-4 Black Scorpion Beast.
But unexpectedly, they came across the missing people.
The missing mercenaries recounted their experience. They were all captured by unknown individuals and locked up inside the shelter.
The Two Teams sent by the intelligence organization had done a great job. They then brought the people back to the Red Rock Shelter.
Their appearance immediately caused a commotion. The locals didn't expect to see them back. Most of them thought they had all been killed by the corrupted beasts.
Now, seeing them back, their families showed joy and happiness. It didn't take long for the government officials to arrive and learn what happened.
After knowing that the mercenaries were all kidnapped, they were all shocked to the core. It was not an easy task. The Beast Tamer had to be Tier-4 at least to overwhelm these people.
These individuals must belong to some organization. So the officials immediately acted and reported the incident to the City Administration back in City A.
It didn't take long for the Beast Taming Association to learn about it. Everyone was taken aback. They didn't have the guts to engage in this kind of criminal activity.
Everyone then dispatched people to investigate. As long as they found a small clue, they could easily find the organization behind it.
...
The following day,
Goldcorp:
A massive skyscraper building located in the middle of City A. It's a corporation involved in multiple businesses. There is a shareholder meeting going on.
Right now, one of the shareholders didn't attend the meeting. Rather, he was busy dealing with another matter.
"F**kers!"
"Everything is gone now!"
"What am I going to do?"
A middle-aged man dressed in a tuxedo spoke to himself. He had his people capture the mercenaries for his goal. He was able to succeed in his plan.
As long as he could stir this problem further, the current City Governors wouldn't be able to solve it. He would be forced to resign.
But his plan ended in failure now. He didn't know who was behind it. According to the information, the two intelligence organizations' people came there to fact-check the presence of the Tier-4 Black Scorpion.
They had unintentionally bumped into the shelter. He was glad that his people were in disguise and were able to escape in the end.
If it was known that Goldcorp was behind it, then people here would do everything to find the culprit. At least he could save his life now.
"Intelligence organizations," his eyes flashed coldly.

He wouldn't forget these two organizations. Though it was unintentional, their actions had ruined his plan. So he would get his revenge back in the future.
...
The store:
The old man behind the desk was still in disbelief. He didn't expect the intelligence team to stumble upon the missing people.
Unfortunately, they failed to identify the criminals. But one thing was certain: they were Tier-4 Beast Tamers. Only a significant force could employ them.
Right now, the City Administration and several other forces were investigating the organization responsible for this incident.
Their owner had sent a special team to find clues as well.
The old man couldn't help but think of a youngster from Central University 14.
"It's not him," he shook his head the next moment.
He thought that kid was like other kids. He was hoping to earn some good money through intel. Most kids do that. They throw out information about the corrupted beasts.
If the corrupted beasts were not found, they would change the statement by saying it went away. So he doubted that the young man was like that.
He didn't have a thought if the young man was the real informer who made them search at the shelter. If he was, then the old man would be scared sh*t right now.
...
Central University 14:
Jeremy Night was in his class with others. They were discussing casually. Suddenly, the instructor Jacob made an entrance.
He looked at everyone before his gaze settled on Jeremy Night.
"Red Rock Base's missing people were found. They were all held captive by unknown individuals," Jacob said in a solemn tone.
Hearing that, Jeremy was not surprised inside. But he still showed a shocked expression.
"No wonder. I didn't find any clues. It's the work of criminals," Jeremy said to him.
Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone reacted as well.
"To think such powerful criminals are living in our city. It's really scary," Daniel Stone uttered.
"If the criminals are behind it, then their strength must be high. I doubt even our seniors would have solved the mission," Betsy's eyes flickered.
They had heard about Jeremy's failed mission. Earlier, they were all surprised. But they didn't expect the mission to be this difficult.
If Jeremy had gone alone, he would have faced a life-threatening situation as well.
"You are lucky. If you had faced them, then your life might have ended up in danger," Jacob uttered in a solemn tone.
"I thought the missing people were all dead. My suspicion was on those corrupted beasts. I didn't think of the human angle before," Jeremy revealed with a bitter smile.
But he perfectly lied. Jacob and others completely believed him.
If they knew Jeremy Night was lying, and that he had saved those missing people, they would be shocked to the core.
"Since the people were saved, we can put this matter to an end," Jacob said with a smile.
"Now, you have something else to deal with," he added.
Jeremy smiled helplessly. He knew what the Instructor was talking about.
Meanwhile,
The news reached Dean Carolyn and the First-Year Department Head, Derek Gibson, as well. They immediately thought of Jeremy Night.
Carolyn felt that Jeremy Night had given up after learning of human involvement. Otherwise, it was impossible for him to give up the mission like that.
But she didn't think Jeremy would go to such lengths to leak information to rescue the missing people.
